Lucky Tyler Holloway has never felt particularly lucky. Frankly, he’s as regular as can be. He works construction with his brothers, loves his small-town life, and shares a close bond with his family, especially his grandmother. Okay, so maybe he has a few secrets in his closet, like his bisexuality…and that other thing he doesn’t talk about… Grayson ‘Saint’ St. Claire has it all: a dream job in … dream job in LA, money, freedom. Saint doesn’t do attachments, which is just the way he likes it. Still, he’d be lying if he didn’t admit he missed his deceased parents, the only family he had… Until he gets an email from some guy named Tyler, revealing the existence of a grandmother he’s never met, prompting Saint to drop everything and drive across the country.
Saint and Tyler couldn’t be more different. Tyler dislikes Saint on sight, but there’s something about Tyler that gets under Saint’s skin. It’s not until they get to know one another that everything begins to change for the better. But the Holloways and St. Claires have secrets, their pasts tied together in tragic ways. With the odds stacked against them, Saint and Tyler have to face the fact that love alone might not be enough…

Riley Hart is one of my ‘go-to’ for same-sex genre. (See my undying love of her novel, Crossroads). Once again, Riley delivers a story that at 52%, I asked it to never end. Saint and Lucky captured my heart and I was invested in their HEA from the start.
If you love a enemies to lovers, this is definitely one to read. Although they both dance around each other, unsure why they should be ‘disliking’ each other, their relationship flows and develops organically. Ms. Hart taps into self discovery and finding one’s true self rather than what is thought they should be.
I wouldn’t say it ends on cliffhanger. But as a reader, I hope we get more!
This love story packed in so much emotion. Not just between the couple, but also with their families and best friend. I loved seeing Saint and Lucky together though. Saint likes to keep his emotional distance, but he is so accepting and easy to open up to. This is just what Lucky needs after repressing his desires for so long. The thing about Lucky/Tyler is that he is a delicate balance of masculinity and femininity that is so refreshing and also, hot. Plus, I just have to mention how awesome the bisexual representation was. Especially in the way that their identities didn’t get erased once they were together.
Life, love and family.
All the reasons we love to read books by Riley Hart…combined with two men who have little in common, but cannot ignore the attraction they feel for each other. Which blossoms into love so deep separation from each other cannot even be contemplated. But will a coast to coast, long distance relationship even be worth considering.
Saint is brought to Virginia by an email sent from someone he doesn’t even know.
Tyler (Lucky) has always been the person everyone can count on to help them.
What will each man do when the idea of family expands for one and the separation from family may be more than the other can handle?
I beautifully written romance, with strong characters and deeply felt emotions.
Masterfully written and with great insight into the human psyche, Riley Hart delivers another compelling & immensely satisfying love story.
This is a wonderful take on opposites attract with an extraordinary emotional depth to the connection between the two MC’s. Signature Riley Hart!
Tyler/Lucky and Saint are an amazing couple. They start out a bit rocky, with multiple misunderstandings and most of their early conversations are spent antagonizing the other or apologizing. However, they are drawn towards each other & thrown together enough for them to start seeing each other in a different way.
I especially love that in getting to know one another, they learn to see themselves in a new light as well. The significance of Tyler being “Lucky” for Saint is just one example of how the author tries to demonstrate that.
Ms. Hart excels at explaining complex or sensitive issues like gender identity or sexuality, educating her readers without coming across as preachy.
The tragic story within the story about the events that happened in the past to break up Saint’s family just about broke my heart. Both Alice and Helen are truly remarkable characters, such strong and loving women.
I loved this book so much! I could go on for hours about it, but I don’t want to take up anyone’s time… it’d be better spent reading this captivating romance!
This is a great story about two men who didn’t realize how much they were missing
until they met each other.
You can never go wrong with a book by Riley Hart.
Once again Riley Hart has written a powerful, amazingly beautiful story. Saint and Lucky are going to the top of my list.
Lucky and Saint’s story is a beautiful one. It’s about finding out where you come from. Secrets being revealed. Family standing by you no matter what. Being true to who you really are. Being able to express yourself the way you want without judgement. Being able to find love and live your life to its full advantage.
I can’t wait to see what Mrs. Hart comes out with next.
Lucky Tyler Holloway was wondering if he did the right thing when he emailed Grayson “Saint” St. Claire to let him know he has a grandmother, who would like to see him. Saint doesn’t know what he’s doing when he ends up in a small town in Virginia, looking for answers to a past that he knows nothing about. When Lucky and Saint meet, they’re pretty sure they don’t like each other, but things change pretty quickly once they get to know each other. Lucky has a few secrets that maybe Saint can help him out with. You just cannot go wrong with one of Riley Hart’s books. Lucky and Saint are amazing characters. I totally loved the ending of this book. It was a little different than what I was expecting and without giving too much away, I’ll leave it at that. If you haven’t read one of Riley Hart’s books, this would be an excellent place to start!!
Something About You is a wonderful story of family, friendship and love.
I’m not going into all what happens in this story the blurb gives enough. To give even more i think will take away from a beautiful read. There is just so much to fall in love with, from Saint and Lucky’s story. From a small town boy, meeting a big city boy and them find what was missing in their lives through each other. To a truly beautiful family, wonderful friendships and a close nit community. I loved it all.
Also we get a brief glimpse at a certain couple from a previous book! Which made me so happy and for any Riley Hart fan i think it will for you too.
