One mouthwatering temptation…All Daisy Goldsmith wants is to get out of her small town, leaving behind the bullies who’ve taunted her. Attending culinary school in New York has always been her biggest dream—a dream she’s not confident enough to pursue. After all, she’s nothing but a “fat cow.” But when her brother’s best friend, the man who’s always secretly held her heart, moves back to town … back to town after college, everything changes for Daisy.
One scrumptious nibble…
The Goldsmith house has always been Jon Roberts’ sanctuary from the crazy of his life. With a broken and dysfunctional family, Jon embraces the Goldsmiths like his own. After getting a real glimpse of the woman Daisy’s becoming, Jon is torn between his loyalty to the family and his desire for his best friend’s little sister.
One delectable bite…
As Daisy and Jon spend more time together, they can’t resist the attraction between them. Once they’ve had a taste, nothing can keep them apart–not their dreams, their families, or the difference in their age. Can someday turn into forever or will they bite off more than they can handle?

Someday Soon is the third installment of the Not Yet series. It was just as good as the first 2 books. It’s a quick easy read. This book pulls in instantly from page 1 and you will at the last page before you know. Someday Soon is Jon and Daisy’s, (Dean’s younger sisters) story. When Jon comes home from college he instantly builds a friendship with Daisy. Daisy doesn’t see herself as the beautiful woman that Jon tells her, she is. Over time she starts to believe him. She learns that not only is she a beautiful woman, but she’s capable to stand up for herself and what she believes in. Jon is Daisy’s first kiss, the one she gives her virginity to and her first love. Daisy is afraid to share this with Jon in fear of rejection. Jon doesn’t believe that loving someone or forming a relationship with them is possible. Through spending time with Daisy, he realizes loving another is possible. Jon fears if he tells Daisy, that he may lose his best friend . Through some life lessons and bumps in the road they experience. It makes the both of them realize the importance of sharing how much they love one another.
This book couldn’t end with a better HEA. Definite must read.
Laura Ward is a master heartstring puppeteer and I’m a sucker for a taboo tale of romance conquering all. Every girl deserves a man who tells her she’s beautiful until she finally believes it, and every guy deserves a girl who is his safe haven in an insane world. Jon and Daisy are adorable together, even as they try to hide their growing feelings behind friendly facades there is no stopping the heat burning between them.
I’m loving this series the more and more. I could not put this one down. Jon and Daisy had amazing chemistry and so much love for each other. You will laugh, you’ll cry but will love it as much as I did.
Jon was a bright light for Daisy. He was her champion when others told her she wasn’t pretty or thin enough. I love that he helped Daisy break out of her shell. She and her family were there for Jon when he needed people to love him. My heart broke reading Jon’s backstory, but the love story was worth it.
I love everything about this book, it was well written and entertaining. I lose myself when reading this book.
Book 3 of the Not Yet series and we get Jon and Daisy’s story. Well paced and developed, the story moves quickly. There is a bit of preachiness, but over all a good read
Daisy Goldsmith has been bullied at school for as long as she can remember by her former best friends. All she wants to do is leave town and attend culinary school but her parents don’t seem to want her to go.
Jon Roberts is best friends with Daisy’s older brother Dean. In the past Jon is known for getting around and never dating one girl but he knows he has feelings for Daisy but can not act on them.
When Daisy turns 18 she asks Jon to kiss her as her birthday present and he does, even though he knows he shouldn’t. As Jon and Daisy struggle with how they feel about each other, they realize no one can know as they will lose everything if their secret gets out.
This was such a good book filled with a “forbidden” romance and a continuation of Amy’s story as well.
I liked Daisy and I was super sad about how she was treated at school and then to eventually find out why was very sad but unfortunately realistic. I loved how much Daisy enjoyed cooking and how she would do all the cooking for her family. I was hoping she would get a chance to go to culinary school and it made me mad that her parents would let her brothers go off to school but were very worried about her and not letting her follow her own dreams.
Jon was a little more complicated. I thought he was an awesome character and I knew that there was a reason why he avoided relationships and as the book went along everything made sense. That being said he had genuine feelings for Daisy but had no idea how to have a real relationship with her as he had never had one before. I felt horrible for Jon with how he felt growing up and his relationship with his mom. It truly broke my heart to see how he felt and why.
It was obvious how much both Daisy and Jon cared about each other but I understood why Jon was worried about things progressing for so many reasons. Yet the two really had feelings for one another.
I loved how welcoming the Goldsmith family was but you knew something big was going to happen!! It went down like I thought it would and things just exploded!
I was glad that we got more of Amy but I am definitely worried about her roommate Izzy who definitely has a huge issue. I’ll be curious to see how their story continues in the next book.
I loved the end of the book and the repairing of several key relationships through the series!
The end was awesome but the hints to the next book look intense!!
Great series!
I am really enjoying this series and love how we catch up with everyone from the previous books. I must admit I had some pre conceived ideas about Jon from the books, however he exceeded these and was great. Jon was amazing with Daisy and you could really feel the struggle he was having with his feelings for her his friend and the family he adored. It was great to watch Daisy bloom into a confident woman with Jon’s friendship/love. A great addition to the series.
This is book 3 in the Not Yet series. This book was so easy to read. It had great flow and i couldn’t put it down. I loved Daisy and Jons story. Daisy has had a hard time in school. She gets bullied by 2 crappy girls. It takes her awhile to stick up for herself but her sister and brother really stick up for her. Jon is her older brothers best friend. She has had crush on him forever. But Daisy doesn’t know is Jon likes her too. But since she is underage, he doesn’t show his feelings. I can’t wait to read book 4. I love reading booms by Laura Ward. She is amazing
This was one of the stories that you were right..Falling for your brothers best friend. He brother was on the NFL and was very protected. Parents didn’t support her cooking dreams but her brother helped her to convince them. New York City and and it was far away, two things that didn’t go over very well. So after everything there she is but who else shows up but the one person that she thought would not be in her life. Its a great story showing struggles and heart ached and growing up. I really enjoyed this book the Author really did a great job telling the story.
Lovely, sweet story . Well written storyline, developed characters. Jon and Daisy are wonderful. Jon is the kind of man to love, cherish, celebrate Daisy, and all her talents. His background is rougher, both bring much to each other. Sweet, romantic. Recommended
Someday soon was such an amazing read. It captured your attention right away and did not let you go till the end. Highly recommend
I was looking forward to Daisy & Jon’s story! In a whole “Not Yet” way, I knew we would have the right amount of angst, heartbreak and character growth to keep me turning the pages. Daisy was the girl that I always stood behind and offered encouragement to because I can relate very well to her and I was so happy to see Jon be that for her! I love the Goldsmith family, they are the most loving, loyal, supportive and accepting family. This slow burn romance had me from beginning to end.
This book had it all. Brothers best friend, forbidden and all our friends from the first 2 books are back in this one.
This book is about Dean’s sister Daisy and Jon. This is a fantastic book. Daisy graduates early from HS, she wants to go to Culinary school in New York, but she needs to convince her parents that she is ready to go.
Jon needs help studying for the test for law school entrance.
But just like all great romances you can’t help who you fall in love with and this book is no exception. But that isn’t the way this started. It started as friends and they were working together to better themselves.
We see all our star players, Dean and Grace, Landon and Emma, Ricky and of course Becky. I love catching up with all our past friends.
I can’t wait to read book 4.
This was a nice sweet read. I enjoyed it very much.
This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites! This story is about Daisy and how she wants her family to see her as an adult and to be able to go to school away from Indiana. Daisy has had a crush on her older brother Dean’s best friend Jon for as long as she can remember. Jon has also secretly had a crush on Daisy as well. When they decide to become friends who “kiss sometimes” they find a spark that they keep exploring even though they feel is wrong because of Dean. I’m glad this story digs a little into Jon’s background and tells how he grew up and what he struggles with because of his mom.
This is Book 3 in the series and it just keeps getting better!! I love Jon and Daisy!!! What starts out as a friendship between these two, turns into so much more. Jon is Daisys older brothers best friend. These two are dealing with issues and turn to each other for support. They help each other through some of the hardest times of their lives, and end up falling in love with each other.
This is my favorite book in the series so far! I highly recommend this book!
Daisy is uncomfortable in her own skin. Mean ex friends have caused her to feel bad about her body image. Jon helps her to change that. Through this book she learns to love herself. Daisy works to show her parents she is ready to go to Culinary school. Jon and Daisy’s relationship develops secretly, but will they end up together in the end? This is the third book of the series. I have enjoyed Laura Ward’s style and look forward to reading the next book in this series!
Someday Soon by Laura Ward is book number three in this amazing series. This was a heartwarming story with a great friendship and some incredible characters. A story that really captures your heart. Two young people who have an amazing friendship and maybe feel a bit more then they let on due to the fact he is her brothers best friend. There is some teen bullying, low self esteem and a touch of family drama. This was a really well written story that just keeps you hooked and wanting to keep turning the pages to see how things will turn out. I found the characters to be strong incredibly focused on what they wanted and you couldn’t help at some point saying you go girl. I honestly loved and recommend this great book.
Daisy is the younger sister to Dean. Daisy has graduated early from high school to hopefully prove to her parents she is old enough to go to culinary school in New York. She has known Jon since she was young. Jon is best friends with Dean, Daisy’s older brother. Jon during the year was getting ready to save money and go to law school in Boston. Jon and Daisy have begun to be very close best friends. Texting and meeting up to have dinner at her family’s house. Jon hasn’t had the easiest life feeling love so her doesn’t do relationships. It’s more of fun and done, but getting to know Daisy and her insecurities made them make a deal but what they didn’t plan for were the stronger feelings to come and tho Jon knew it was wrong he couldn’t stop the feelings. Will there be a happy ever after or will someone get hurt? You need to read it.
