USA Today bestselling author Claudia Burgoa brings you an all-new friends-to-lovers second chance romance. Made of Honor clashes with When Harry Met Sally in a sweet and seductive love story of hopeful hearts and second chances.
Men and women can be friends.
At least that’s what I’ve been telling myself since George walked into my life.
We bicker as much as we have each other’s backs.
We’re … as we have each other’s backs.
We’re inseparable.
So, she left to find herself and I feel like I can’t breathe without her.
It’s okay, it’s only temporary.
But when she walks back into my life, it’s on the arm of a stranger.
Her fiancé.
Seriously, I just realized I’m in love with her and she’s engaged?
I have six weeks to convince George we’re meant to be together—not only in the kitchen or be forced to watch her marry another man.
Time is running out, and soon, she’ll be gone from my life.
I’m risking everything, will that be enough?

Though there may just be something more there, it takes them years to realize it. When George introduces Auggie to her fiancé, is it too late for them? Throughout the story, we see Auggie and George through years of friendship with ups and downs, but always side-by-side. Though Auggie knows how he feels about George, he never admitted his true feelings. Now he needs to show her how good they can be together!
Happy reading!
This was such a good read!!! Auggie and George had sooooo many years of history and we get to see from when they first met up until when they finally see what’s in front of them. Their friendship was so honest but yet they were blind to each other’s real feelings; it was actually pretty funny at times. They were the best of friends and nothing was rushed. It took them years before realizing that they are meant to be together. Great story overall and great secondary characters.
Loved this rom-com book of best friends to lovers’ romance! It was outstanding; it was such a great read!! At times, it will have you laughing, but you won’t be able to put it down. This is a story about second chances. This is a story about love. This is a story about forgiveness and healing. This story is about a slow-burn romance. Sit back and be ready for a crazy ride. You will swoon over the handsome and sexy Agustin (Auggie) Diego Beltran who is someone you would like to be your friend or maybe more. When Auggie meets Georgia (George) Angelina Jones at a college party, it did not go as well as he expected, so they decided to become friends, to best friends. This page-turning story completely encapsulates the madness of the first stirrings of love and lust when you can’t get enough of someone, and all the games between the two characters were hilariously well done. You will love the banter between Auggie and George. Although Someday Somehow is a rom-com, it is rich and layered. Claudia Burgoa shares the story of two people who evolve into their entire potential of who they are. Claudia Burgoa manages to weave humorous plotlines centered on romantic ideas with artfully developed main characters. The storyline is fluid, and it will pique your interest. Highly recommend this book. You won’t regret reading Someday Somehow!
Although their relationship may not have started off the best way this is a friends to lovers story that is over a decade in the making. Auggie and George met in college and found in each other someone who was always there to support them through all the ups and down that goes along with life. They were both content with a friendship until they weren’t.
George was the first one to realize that her feelings were much deeper for Auggie than friends, but he never seemed to want more so she makes steps to move forward with her life. While she was away Auggie realized that what was truly important in his life was George. When she returns engaged to another man is friends all they will ever be or is it finally the right time and place for them to be so much more?
This is a sweet and heartwarming story about a love that transcends time and circumstances between two people who are each other’s destiny
Love doesn’t come easy for George (Georgia) and Auggie. But friendship does. This is the slow-burn magic of a missed opportunities story that Claudia Burgoa provides to readers.
The author gives you a look at how the two grow up and never are on the same page at the same time when it comes to falling in love. We get to see them have all their dreams come true except the one in their hearts.
I love Ms Burgoa’s storytelling takes the best of finally coming to your senses for the hero and heroine to get their happily ever after.
Someday, Somehow was an amazing book that I enjoyed from the very start! This is Auggie and George’s story. They meet while they’re in college and they become fast friends. They have so much in common and really help each other get through school but after they graduate and start their careers, they have a lot to figure out. It’s a sweet, friends to lovers story. I really enjoyed these characters and I’m sad the story is over. I would highly recommend this book!
Agustin “Auggie” Beltran has been best friends with George since he accidentally spilled his coffee on her and then mistakenly thought she was someone else on night at a party. Since then they have been inseparable until she goes to France for school and Auggie finally realizes how lost he is without her.
Georgia “George” Jones had the most wonderful best friend in the world but slowly things began to change for her and when she realized that Auggie didn’t feel the same she headed out of town. Now almost 1 year later she is back and has brought someone with her.
Can Auggie prove to George how much he loves her or is it too late?
This was a great book about fighting for what you want and finding it when you least expect it.
I really liked bit Auggie and George and how their friendship grew so much and how they truly relied on each other. Yet they both never realized how they felt about each other at the same time and neither talked to the other about how they felt. They each supported the other one and did their best, even when it went against what they wanted for themselves.
I was a little frustrated with George for continuing to run instead of talking to Auggie about how she felt and then rushing into a relationship in order to get over him.
I loved that even though Auggie knew how he felt about George, he was still her best friend and did everything he could to support her with Mario.
The end was absolutely awesome with Like Home! I did a big happy dance for sure!
Such a good read!
Auggie and George have been friends for a long time. George is expected to follow in dad’s footsteps and Auggie isn’t sure what future holds. They’ve been through a lot over the years but when Auggie picks up George at airport, he’s in for a shock. He had a plan but what will he do now? Is there even a chance?
This one will give you all the warm fuzzy feelings but with it will come some great frustration. Because you will see from the get go that this two were never meant to be just friends. They were meant to be so much more. These two just don’t see what’s right in front of them; the best thing that could ever happen to them if they get on the same page at the same time.
Auggie and George gives us the ultimate slow burn. Seriously a 12 year slow burn but when things finally mesh it’s just the icing on the cake.
Loved them, loved their story, loved everything!!
Ok so I have to start by saying that George has to be one of my favourite heroines ever! Her strength was definitely something that I admired a lot.
Auggie definitely made me pull my hair out and shout at my kindle a few times that’s for sure!
This was a really well written slow burn friends to lovers story that I highly recommend.
Omg talk about slow burn!!!! One of the best friends to lovers, angst filled book I have read in such a long time. You want to jump in the book and yell at them to open up their eyes. We see the story or Auggie and George. You will definitely love and hate them. I only say hate because again you want to yell at them to open their eyes. They are such strong characters individually but together it’s like dynamite. Love them and this story. If I could I would do more than 5 stars.
This very slow burn, friends-to-lovers story takes place over a long span of years. Auggie and George (Georgina) danced around one another for many years trying to believe they were just best friends. The dated other people but yet went home to one another. They didn’t have a clue that their relationship was one of lovers instead of just loving each other as best friends.
The first time they met was a disaster, their second meeting was quite funny, but then they formed a bond that nobody could break, until they each broke it with their mis-communication or mis-understanding. I liked it being based in the kitchen. Their love and enjoyment of food had them each going in the same direction, but for different reasons. Auggie had a guilt complex with his family that needed George’s patience to work through. It took an act of forgetting by George to get the two of the where they should have been 11 years earlier.
This was quite the sloooowwww burn romance. It took 12 years for these two to get on the same page. Amazing characters, good storyline. I just wish we could have seen a bit more of their happily-ever-after.
Auggie and George’s story spans through many years, starting with their first meeting in college. They’ve grown to become the best of friends, interweaving their families together & spending all their free time with one another. Not wanting to ruin their friendship, neither admits to their true feelings. When George moves to another country to pursue her culinary dreams, Auggie has no choice but to let her go. With George physically gone from Auggie’s life, he finally comes to the realization that he’s in love with her. But with George embracing new experiences with new friends, will she also come to the same realization about Auggie?
I love that even though they dated other people, they were still the best of friends & nothing changed that. Auggie & George’s families were so great, supportive & welcoming. This was a sweet friends to lovers story & I can’t wait to read more!
Auggie is the perfect book boyfriend! I mean seriously, other than not realizing he loves George until it’s almost too late. I love a good friends to lovers romance I feel like this one took way too many years to happen but at least the story jumped and didn’t drag on thought the book. It kept me turning the pages until the story was over
Someday, Somehow is another fantastic page-turner from Claudia Burgoa. This slow burn romance spans 12 years and will have you hooked from beginning to end. The story will evoke a range of emotions from you and will give you all the feels. This friends to lovers romance is one story you will not be able to put down.
You will be taken on a journey with Auggie and George as their relationship builds over the course of the years and you will be rooting for these two lovable characters throughout the story. I also loved the secondary characters who added so much to the story.
Someday, Somehow was a unique tale, and I would highly recommend this novel to all those looking for a slow-burn, friends to lovers romance.
Someday, Somehow by Claudia Burgoa created an entirely new definition of slow burn friends-to-lovers romance. She was killing me in the most delicious agonising way possible. The epic story spreading across time and space had filled my heart with wonderful emotions. It is that kind of story that will pull you in right in the middle of the emotional journey and would not let you go till the end.
Claudia Burgoa surprises me with her unique take on romance in each new story. None of her books has remotely similar storyline. And I love that so much. Take this book. Auggie and George has been best friend over the years. Through college. Through George’s career change and Auggie’s struggle to live up to his father’s expectations by wearing himself out for family business. Through thick and thin literally. Through every heartbreak, happiness, success, downfall and just everything. And somewhere down the line they fall in love in each other. Very natural. But they realized it a bit too late and the timing was awful. The angst filled heartbreaking emotions made me come undone. Trust me you will cheer for them and cry for them and be angry with them. Because these guys have my heart wrapped around their fingers!
The story is narrated over twelve years. That is just staggering. The author meticulously and brilliantly chronicled their growth and evolution. That was simply stunning. And the reason I was so connected with them. I need an Auggie in my life. Seriously. Who does not need a caring, loving, selfless, protecting man who is ready to sacrifice everything for his best friend? He helped and boosted and nurtured the relationship. Alas even the most perfect guy has some fault. And in case of Auggie it is his reluctance to stay back from his work and go all out for George. Until it’s almost too late. But well he came back spectacularly. Oh yes. And George can be my best friend. She is so adorable and brilliant. I admire her fight and struggle to defeat society’s judgement and preconceived notion. Claudia addressed a real burning issue about POC here and I truly respect it. I am a bit mad at her for leaving Auggie so many times but she is the woman who completes him and made him realize what he really needs.
Someday, Somehow by Claudia Burgoa is not about some explosive moments. It was about experiencing the gorgeous process of building a relationship. It was not a roller coaster. It was a lazy stroll in a beautiful day. It was the special comfort of your favorite blanket in cold nights. Warm ,fuzzy and swoonworthy.
Received ARC for Honest review
Claudia has another great book to add to her writing talents. It was a slow pace story for me that was told over a span of 12 years of friendship. I felt many emotions reading this book but that is what I love about a good book. Being wrapped up in a book that you can feel like you are there is great. Claudia is an author that just does that. I reccomend this book for your TBR list.
