“An entertaining, supernaturally infused chick-lit tale.” — Kirkus ReviewsA little magic can go a long way — to totally screwing up a girl’s life!Mara is having the worst month of her life. At least, that’s what her tarot cards tell her and they’ve never been wrong. Before she knows it, she’s evicted from her apartment, fired from her job and banned from Beverly Hills. So, when the cards start … Hills.
So, when the cards start predicting her imminent demise, she uses a little magic to make her world right.
Suddenly, an aunt she’s never met dies, leaving Mara as her sole heir. But when Mara moves into her inherited home, she discovers Aunt Tillie never moved out. She’s still one pissed-off old lady–even post-mortem–and she blames Mara’s magical meddling for her untimely death.
When Mara accidentally releases a demon and awakens the spirit of the most powerful witch in history, Tillie’s ready to kill her. Literally. It’s the only way she can think of to save the girl from herself.
The witch and the demon, however, have other plans for Mara.
Somebody Tell Aunt Tillie She’s Dead is a quirky urban fantasy that mixes humor, suspense and witchcraft.

I just couldn’t get into this book.
It’s an cozy, enjoyable book, but don’t expect intellectual stimulation. The characters are likable except the ones who aren’t. The end had some element of surprise.
Stopped reading at about page 73. Could not get into this.
So funny.
light hearted fantasy
Loved this book. Loved all the characters even the frog! Great storyline and flowed very well. The author really made the story line flow from one era to another. A very entertaining book.
Very different.
A really fun book full of great characters. Lots of laughs and plenty of suspense and action as well. Also, for once, a book involving modern witchcraft by someone who either already knows something about the subject or has done her homework. It may not all be realistic (who really expects that in a novel), but the less supernatural scenes …
Simple read, but entertaining.
Cute little page turner.
It was pleasant but I wasn’t made to care about the main character
Cute story
Anxious to read more about these wonderful characters who can be sweet, gullible. soft and homey while also being large, dragonesk, and so very capable of combating any evil.
Very cute!! Easy read and I enjoyed this one.
this is a fun read…good story with many twists and turns….truly enjoyed
I DID LIKE THE BOOK BUT IT SEEM TO MISS SECTIONS TO HELP YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS GOING ON. THE TITLE DIDN’T REALLY HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH THE BOOK. i DID ENJOY READING IT.
Loved it
Not a typical witch story. The story progresses along with the character development. I would like to meet these people again.
Personally I didn’t care for the writing style or the main character. Quit about half way through it
I’m glad I read the author’s afterword. I felt that we spent too much time on set up. But the author did that intentionally. It was a good enough story, but started to lose me towards the end.
