“An entertaining, supernaturally infused chick-lit tale.” — Kirkus ReviewsA little magic can go a long way — to totally screwing up a girl’s life!Mara is having the worst month of her life. At least, that’s what her tarot cards tell her and they’ve never been wrong. Before she knows it, she’s evicted from her apartment, fired from her job and banned from Beverly Hills. So, when the cards start … Hills.
So, when the cards start predicting her imminent demise, she uses a little magic to make her world right.
Suddenly, an aunt she’s never met dies, leaving Mara as her sole heir. But when Mara moves into her inherited home, she discovers Aunt Tillie never moved out. She’s still one pissed-off old lady–even post-mortem–and she blames Mara’s magical meddling for her untimely death.
When Mara accidentally releases a demon and awakens the spirit of the most powerful witch in history, Tillie’s ready to kill her. Literally. It’s the only way she can think of to save the girl from herself.
The witch and the demon, however, have other plans for Mara.
Somebody Tell Aunt Tillie She’s Dead is a quirky urban fantasy that mixes humor, suspense and witchcraft.

Liked it, kept me engaged. The “magic” was intereeand fun. The lead vacillated between confidence, confusion and what the hell. A fun read.
Excellent read, love the characters.
This is what I call “brain candy” – a quick read but very entertaining and interesting. Like real candy, it leaves you wanting some more!
Very good story, well written.Have read a few other of her books.Good author
An entertaining easy read
Witches, Ghosts, really not my sort of book! Exciting fun… also.
Fully engaged by the characters. Had to continue with the other books in the series
Amusing story. I would read more.
I enjoy stories that have some scare aspects but also entertain and make you laugh. This story did just that. A thrilling escape and fun read.
A wonderful, laugh out loud funny take on a witch who lost her job, is scraping to get by, is about to lose her apartment, and in desperation performs a money spell which doesn’t go the way she intended.
Love this entire series. Funny, magic, snark, great characters
The main character wasn’t likable. The opening was awkward. I deleted the book without finishing it. Didn’t care about the story or characters.
I did not like this book. If you are looking for a cozy witch’s tale, this is not it. I didn’t find the female main character to be very likable. The author has her spending too much time wisecracking, throwing the “F” word around, and having catty arguments with her gay best friend rather than moving the story along. Fully nothing of interest …
Really cute
A great read at the beach. Enjoyed and had a laugh. So tough when you don’t know you are dead,
It was the kind of light reading I needed at the time.
Enjoyable read!
Read it if you need to laugh.
This review is for the audio book.
I loved this book. It is the first book by this author I have read or listened to and the first in the series but it won’t be my last as I really enjoyed it. It is so different from the normal witch cozy mysteries that I listen to that I found myself hooked
I was expecting a light hearted cozy judging from the …
Absolutely fantastic read! Loved every aspect of this book. Cozy mysteries meets Charmed. Heartwarming and endearing. Awesome book that’s part of an awesome series. Can be read as a stand-alone but why would you wanna do that?
