When a psychic tells Natalie Nixon her life is about to be upended by a mysterious stranger, she laughs it off. After all, she has everything she’s ever wanted—a successful bakery, the perfect boyfriend, and the keys to her dream house. Who could possibly make her want to throw all that away? Then Miles Haas comes back to town. But he’s no stranger—they’ve known each other since high school. … other since high school. Plus, he’s only around for the summer, he’s still a shameless playboy, and he makes a living writing articles for a men’s magazine with titles like ‘Should You Bang the Boss’s Daughter? A Flowchart’ and ‘Butt Stuff for Beginners: A Field Guide.’
Except he makes her laugh like no one else, smells like heaven, and wears those panty-melting glasses. But he’s not the man of her dreams, and she’s not about to abandon everything she’s worked so hard for just for a little fun.
She’s not that crazy…or is she?

Miles
You sexy , glasses wearing, dirty talking play boy. Goodness.
Miles and Natalie have known each other forever but there timing has always been off.
Miles is always going where ever he wants and doing whomever he wants with no intention of settling down, falling in love etc et.
Natalie is sweet, girl next door with her on business and a boyfriend of 10 years who just happens to like to sample other things besides the sticky buns at her coffee shop.
This friends to lovers romance is just precious. I love it. Can’t wait till the next book comes out the beginning of next year.
Friends to lovers… smoking hot lovers…damn hot lovers. Miles and Natalie were always meant to be together they just didn’t know it. As always- wonderful, witty writing, exceptional and sexy characters with a story you you can’t put down until ‘the end’.
Wonderful characters, engaging read!
A truly lovely story about friends to lovers! I was captivated from the first page to the last. Lots of laughter and sweet moments.
*fans self* Did it get hot in here? No? Is that just me?! Wowza! This is a hot little book. Where can I get a Miles Haas?
Miles and Natalie (the youngest of the Nixon sisters) have known each other for as long as they can remember. Miles vacationed next door to Natalie and the two took to each other like glue. Completely inseparable during the summer, the two never spoke during the rest of the year, yet would always pick right back up as if no time had passed. I love when friendships are this easy. I love when you can just tell that two people should be together, but something–or someone–is standing in the way of a love so great that you just want to smack them. Yep. That’s Some Sort of Crazy.
We know a bit about Natalie: she’s the youngest, she owns Coffee Darling, and she has been in a lackluster relationship for 10 years to the crappy Dan. Okay, so we don’t really know he’s crappy, but we do know he got caught with dick pics on his phone and admitted to some flirty texts, so I’m sure it’s not stretching it to say he’s crappy. Anyways, Crappy Dan. Miles doesn’t like Douchebag Dan at all. And no wonder, he isn’t right for Natalie at all. Not that Miles thinks he can be who or what Natalie needs, but he knows she needs more than Douchebag.
Miles writes a sex blog which is fitting because he has tons of sex. Maybe I’m guessing here, but based on his performances he’s having lots of sex. And often. Miles shows up to surprise Nat. He knows Douchebag doesn’t really like him, but he and Nat have been friends for years and Dan has never been able to change that.
Natalie is definitely surprised when she sees Miles outside Coffee Darling one early morning. She’s even more surprised when they start to hang out and there is a physical connection between them. Since when does she think of Miles in a sexual way? It’s gotta be because she hasn’t gotten lucky in months, right? Or is it the blog? Who knows. All Nat knows is that she feels guilty for being attracted to her friend because she’s dating Dan.
Well, because this is fiction and not real life, Dan quickly becomes a thing of the past–thank GOD because he was so freaking boring–and Miles is moved to the front of the line. And when I say this man can fuck, let’s just go with THIS MAN CAN FUCK. This book is home to one of the hottest sex scenes I have ever read. I don’t know why, I’ve read lots of books that contain lots of sex, but that damn scene in the closet is the hottest thing I’ve read in a long time.
Umm…where was I? Oh, right, Nat and Miles. Stuff happens (sex stuff), Miles bails because he’s a pussy (okay, not really, but he is scared of his feelings and he runs), and the more stuff happens that sends Natalie running to Miles. Miles Haas is officially the sexy man with glasses and I want one.
The reason I love this is not because it’s beautifully written, but because the guy on the cover reminds me of Jon Bellion, and I love Jon Bellion
Very believable characters
Flirty childhood friends finally get it.
This is the second book in the Happy Crazy Love series. I read the first book, Some Sort of Happy in 2016 so it may take me a bit to get up to snuff on all of the characters again. BUT, any book that opens with “I blame the vodka” probably isn’t going to be that difficult to get into. I mean, how can you not continue reading???
(24 hours later) I forgot how fun this series is! It didn’t take me any time at all to get back into the Nixon sisters. The Happy Crazy Love series is pure entertainment and loads of fun. Some Kind of Crazy is all about the youngest sister, Natalie, and her best friend, Miles. They’ve known each other all their lives. They’d spent every summer together since Miles’ parent had bought the house next to the Nixon orchard. In fact, Natalie didn’t really consider summer started until she saw the Haas’ car in the driveway next door. Now, they’re all grown up and have different lives. Their summers haven’t been spent together for a few years, but they have kept in touch and every time that Miles is in town he makes sure to see Natalie.
Miles is back in town, for some odd reason he had the urge to see Natalie. A phone call just wouldn’t do this time. Natalie doesn’t know yet that he’s actually in town, he called her but didn’t let her know how close he was. In the meantime, Nat is out on the town with her sisters. On the way home the sisters see a sign for free psychic readings and decide, “what the heck?” Natalie is at a point in her ten-year relationship with Douchebag Dan (Miles’ name for him) and is expecting an engagement ring at any time now. Her reading is nowhere near what she expects it to be considering her current circumstances. “A stranger will upend your life…..” What is THAT supposed to mean?
The journey that Natalie begins is full of fun, laughs, and unexpected surprises.
What a great book! This made me laugh on the very first page. When they broke up, I was shedding tears. But they came through in the end. I usually hate books with a pregnancy, but this author made me love her story and her characters. It was well written, nicely paced and a joy to read from start to finish.
I couldn’t put it down!
The only thing that would make this book better is to have it completely in Miles’ POV. That boy….
It has been a while since I read Skylar’s story and it was fun to “see” a bit of her and Sebastian again.
Could have used a bit more “Dan drama” imo. I would love to see that cheating bastard hang a bit more for his indiscretions but whatever.
Very slow start into introduction of story
Really liked this book
This was a good story with likeable characters and a fun friendship that turns into more.
Enjoyable read with HEA. Sweet story with a sense of humor and a side of steamy sex!
Great book. Steamy and sweet. I couldn’t put the book down.
Enjoyed this book
Love it. Could not put it down.
Loved the characters. Very believable
