A woman who has nothing, Delia Woodson is desperate. That’s why she agrees to it. Because she’s a painter, no one is buying her paintings, and she’s desperate. She has bills to pay, food to buy. Someday she might actually want to live in her own apartment instead of on her friend’s couch. And all she has to do is paint baby-faced angels on an indecently rich, corporate shill’s ceiling. Because, … Because, he just can’t think of any other way to spend his money? And she just can’t think of any other way to make it.
A man who wants for nothing, Jack Cabot doesn’t want the mural his mother has commissioned for his office ceiling. He doesn’t want the distraction, he doesn’t want the silliness. He doesn’t want the artist now spending her days ten feet above his head. The artist with paint in her hair, distracting him. Bickering with him. Amusing him, until… Jack discovers he does want something after all.

Delia an free spirit artist meets Jack an uptight corporate executive. Can they get together and have their differences make life better for the both of them?? Or will money, power, and society keep them apart forever??
This book was great. I was really sorry when it ended. The author did an amazing job.
This was an entertaining book. Delia is funny, crazy and wacky. Jack is serious and responsible.
This book was an interesting read both for the geography as well as for the insight into normal living by someone dealing with anxiety disorders. The relationship development was also interesting and unusual.
Loved this book from start to finish !!!!
This was a fun easy read. I would definitely read more of this author.
Couldn’t settle get into the book. Read half and didn’t keep my interest. Kinda blah.
Set-up seemed contrived: Why would a successful businessman let himself be manipulated by his mother and put up with h’s shenanigan’s in his office? And I question h’s seemingly off-the-cuff approach to painting a large mural (does the author even know what goes into such work?). If you can overlook such problems, the book is a pleasant light read.
Excellent story! Once I started reading it I didn’t put it down until it was finished. I loved the story and the character development was wonderful. I look forward to reading more books by this author.
Absolutely delightful book! Heroine has an amazing attitude about life and a sense of humor that had me rolling. I love it when a book has me laughing right out loud.
This is my first book by this author but it certainly won’t be the last. Great writing, great characters, great story!
Easy to read an d original.
I found the first three chapters rather slow and boring. The rest of the book was great and quite different. I do object to the use of the non-word “snuck”. The dictionaries I use, both print and digital can’t find it. Maybe my teachers were correct, it’s not a word. We’ll educated elementary students know it should be SNEAKED.
Contrast of quirky painter and plan-centric CEO provided amusement for the reader and fun conflict for the characters to work out. Unusual way to get the two together in one room — and for once, not immediately a bedroom. Enjoyable.
It was a fun book to read. Romantic but not filled with the intimate details.
Great
This was such a fun read. Loved the characters and story line!
I have enjoyed books by Megan Bryce and this was not a disappointment. It flowed quickly and had a satisfying ending.
I thoroughly enjoyed this author’s style of writing. I found it entertaining and fun. I enjoyed the characters she developed, too. I received this book free but got hooked on the author and bought another one of her books as soon as I finished it. I thought the $4.99 I paid for that short book (145 pages) was a bit steep but I have to admit I am hooked on her style and will probably buy more of her books.
