SOME LIKE IT HOPSA Girl Power Romance Collection NovellaCharlie Harper grew up surrounded by men, so making a name for herself in the male-driven world of craft brewing should be a piece of cake. But when she finds the perfect warehouse location for her first brewery, she learns that someone else has their eye on the site. And Griffin Lane, CEO of the largest and fastest growing craft beer … craft beer company on the west coast, doesn’t give up easily.
At first glance, Griffin’s just as ruthless and arrogant as the reputation preceding him. Money can’t buy happiness? Whoever said that clearly didn’t have enough of it. Cash is king, and Griffin’s ready to pay whatever it takes to procure the next location for Fast Lane Brewing.
Too bad Charlie can’t be bought.
Going toe-to-toe with Griffin is easy at first; Charlie’s more than capable of dealing with hard-headed men. But something is brewing here and it’s not just the hops. As their attraction to one another builds, the battle over real estate fades to the background, and soon, neither one of them can ignore their chemistry.
The “Girl Power Collection” is a celebration of feminism in an unprecedented manner and will serve as an inspiration for millions of readers across the globe.
Over the years, men that have made landmark achievements in different facets of life have often been celebrated with very little stories about bad ass women that have excelled in their respective positions. While there are some works that highlight the fantastic achievements of women in powerful positions, there is no particular project exclusively dedicated to celebrating the “girl power.”
The compilation contains short stories with the theme of Girl Power in whichever way the author defines it for herself and her readers. The 33 romance stories are narrated in a diverse yet entertaining and inspiring way and will be released in regular intervals throughout 2020.

There is more brewing than just the hops
SOME LIKE IT HOPS by Jessalyn Jameson is part of The Girl Power Romance Collection where each book is by a different author but they have the same “theme” threaded throughout. This book is the first time I have read this author so I was not sure what to expect, as you can never tell if you will like a “new to you” author. But given the fact that I have liked this series and the book description looked interesting I decided to pick this book up and try it. I am glad that I did as this story is fast-paced, fun, flirty, and has a nice story-line and characters which are likeable and have some sparkling chemistry. The story is very much relevant to this time of craft breweries and more women getting into the business. Then add in the struggle between the smaller true craft brewers and the larger corporate “pretend” brewers and you have some angst and some trouble………but also the fun in the story as Charlie and Griffin do battle. That is until they both put aside their preconceived opinions and get to really know each other.
This was a quick hot read. I loved the chemistry between Charlie and Griffin. They are so hot together. I will definitely be checking out the other books in the series.
Such a great story! It made me wish for a tall pour instead of a short one! Well done, I loved it!
Charlie is getting ready to jump into the brewery business and she has the perfect plan and recipes. When a corporate bigwig tries to pull her perfect spot out from under her and things are about to get down and dirty. Charlie may be a small town girl but she gives Griffin a run for his money. Griffin is used to taking what he wants and he may want more the hot brewery location. Let’s hope he candle what Charlie is dishing out. This couple has chemistry, banter and an instant connection.

I love it when a woman knows what she wants and goes after it. Charlie does not back down even when Griffin tries his hardest to intimidate her. This is one girl power story I could not put down. It’s funny, steamy, and so good.
Oh my …get ready for some girl power. Charlie is getting ready to jump into the brewery business. She has the plan and the perfect recipes. When a arrogant corporate bigwig tries to pull her perfect spot out from under her she gets more than a bit hot under the collar. This is about to get down and dirty. Charlie may be a small town girl but she gives Griffin a run for his money. She is sassy, determined, knows her brew and his and she can be quite a handful. Griffin is used to taking what he wants and he may want more the hot brewery location. He may just be ready to handle what she is dishing out. This couple had chemistry, sassy witty banter and a fabulous battle of wits!!!

This was a fun read. The characters are likable and the story flows really well. I love the chemistry between Charlie and Griffin, it’s believable. This has a little bit of angst in it but not too bad. I loved the concept of her brewery. I am a dog person and it seems like something I could get into. I really hope the author does a follow up book and maybe a book for Charlie’s feisty friend!! I recommend reading this book.
Oh I liked this story, I liked it a lot! For a minute I actually thought I was reading a Cocky Hero Series book because Griffin totally fit the bill for one of those awesome stories. However then there was Charlie! She had a sassy attitude with the smarts to back it up and I was like “oh that’s right, Girl Power Series, let the bada$$ery begin!! I loved the banter and chemistry between Griffin and Charlie from their first meeting. The fact that there wasn’t an instant HEA, that there was some drama and obstacles in their way kept me on my toes. I couldn’t get enough of these two and I totally wouldn’t be mad at all if they made an appearance in another book (hint, hint)!!
This was really entertaining! I liked Charlie and Jo a lot and I enjoyed the plot. Charlie and Griffin had great chemistry and great banter. I didn’t like Griffin in the beginning… I don’t like womanizers. However, he grew on me. I enjoyed this one!

I’ve been excited to read this one since I saw that it was coming. The girl on the cover is adorable! I have to say that I was not disappointed by this book. It’s quick, playful, and fun, but also serves as a powerful reminder that things and people aren’t always what they seem. Sometimes, you just have to dig a little deeper.
I was slightly worried the brewery/beer bits would go over my head because I know nothing about either, but I didn’t struggle at all with those parts of the book.
I love Charlie and her sass. She’s not afraid to fight for what she wants and she knows her own worth. She isn’t willing to take less than she deserves or let anyone run her over.
Griffin starts out as an arrogant jerk that I wanted to run over with a tractor, but he quickly stole my heart. After certain events humble him a bit, he turns into a really likable character I found myself rooting for. The chemistry between him and Charlie is palpable and hot!
If you’re in the mood for a quick and fun read with a point, I highly recommend Some Like it Hops.
