Johan Rogers is a sharpshooting family lawyer who is close to burn out. This is affecting his ability with the Magiks and his once reliable skill as a medium. On a whim, he’s come south to Edi’s shop, Crystal Sands, for a break over the summer solstice. He’s looking for fun, nothing serious, and definitely no commitment. That’s how things start with the stunning Nova. But then a side of him he’s … of him he’s repressed to be a lawyer begins to emerge. Can he get a handle on his emotions, or will Nova help him to realize his full potential with the Magiks?
Nova McGinnis is struggling to find her unique skill with the Magiks. She’s been repressed too long, and despite Edi’s help, her ability is erratic at best. It’s been nearly a month of trying and she’s made minimal progress. Frustrated, she sees Johan as the perfect distraction.
It was meant to be just a summer love affair, but things are developing into something more lasting. Will a hot love affair prevent Nova from discovering her Magik ability, or help her?

Johan has lost his center being a lawyer and a medium has counteracted and his skills are lacking so he takes a vacation to visit a friend Edi.
Nova makes candles and sells them in Edi’s shop but she is trying to find her skill in the Magiks after suppressing it for so long.
When Johan and Nova connect their souls recognize kindred spirits but someone is stopping their connection.
I really enjoyed this story and how different pagan holidays are celebrated and the Mages contribution to them. Johan and Nova were entertaining as the try to find their way and each other.
WOW!! SOLSTICE SIZZLE by Lilliana Rose is the Second Book in the Pagan Pleasure series and She DID it Again!! It can be Read as Standalone but you will joy it more if you Read BELTANE BLISS first since Edith appears.
Johan Rogers is a burned out City Lawyer that decides to comes to Great Ocean Road since he was forced to take a Holiday break. He comes to Crystal Sands to find his friend Edith Court which they are Magiks and to find his groove back. Plus looking for
Nova is Edith friend and coworker that makes candles & soaps for the shop. She is also looking to find her skill as a Magiks as well.
The day that Johan walks into the shop, there is an Instant attraction to the Beautiful dark hair beauty that has him imagining a perfect summer fling while on his Holiday.
Johan and Nova storytelling has So much Adventure and Passion that Have you wanting more. Their Sexual chemistry between the two characters are Off the Charts Hot and Entertaining at the same time. Once I started reading, I Could Not Put It in Down and devour it in ONE Sitting!
Definitely Must Read Book and cannot wait for the 3rd book!
The second book in the Pagan Pleasure series is about Johan and Nova. A fun quick read!!
Fantastic book! I will definitely be reading more from Lilliana Rose!
Solstice Sizzle is the second book in this series. It can be read as a stand alone, but I believe you will get more from it by reading them in order. I did read the first one before this one. Nova (we met her in Beltane Bliss) is at Crystal Sands in a session with Edi, when Johan, someone Edi worked with before she moved and opened Crystal Sands. Edi is working with Nova so that Nova can find out what her Magik power is. Johan is needing a break from being a lawyer, and hopefully he can build back his Medium talents that he has not focused on for too long. Johan is looking at Nova’s candles, and she tells him to get another one. It is instant chemistry between these two, and Edi encourages it. Will this be just a summer fling or will it be more? Will they help each other with their Magik Powers? You need to read on to find out. It was a quick read that kept me engrossed, but I would love more about all of the characters so far. Looking forward to reading the next in the series.
This is book 2 in the Pagan Pleasure series. You don’t have to read book 1, Beltane Bliss but it does help with knowing who Edi is. Johan is a lawyer and is burnt out from his last case. He is told to take a break, which his parents have been asking him to do also. He leaves and heads to Edi shop, Crystal Sands. There he meets Nova. She makes candles for Edi shop. Right from the start these two have chemistry. This book is a fast read but i loved it. I wish it was a bit longer to tell us what happens more with these 2.
I have not read the first book in the series, but plan to. I don’t think it was needed though. I was able to follow along.
Nova lives in a small beach town. She is a Magick but has no idea what her “superpower” is. With the help of Edi, her friend who owns a crystal shop, she is close to discovering it.
Enter Johan. A big city lawyer feeling some burnout. His strong skill as a medium in his line of work has been helpful. After years of being successful, his ability is starting to wain a bit. So he decides to take a break from city life and head to the shore. He has met Edi before and she helped him find a place to rent. She also introduces the young lawyer to Nova. Figuring a summer fling is just the thing he needs, he and Nova begin a steamy summer romance. But can either keep it at that or will their intense attraction lead to more? Will Nova come into her own with the help of Johan?
I truly enjoyed this quick read. Nova and Johan have great chemistry together. I’m pretty sure I read this book in one sitting, I had to know how it ended. Thank you Lilliana Rose. Time to go read the first book! I hope there are more coming!
Solstice Sizzle was about a lawyer who was close to burn out and went south for a trip when he run into Nova McGinnis who turns out to be the perfect distraction. The relationship was rushed and seemed more to be a summer romance. The choice between a summer fling, lust or love was the choice the reader had to choose from. The romance was witty but for me it would have been better if there were more bones in the story to pick from and build a fire between the main characters that would rock the relationship.
This was a good read. I liked the chemistry between Johan and Nova.
This is the second book in the Pagan Pleasures series, and both can be read as stand-alones, but I think you should read book 1 first. After reading the first book I couldn’t wait to read this one! Edi’s friend Johan comes to visit, needing a vacation to get his mind right. What he gets is so much more when he meets her new friend Nova! Such a great read!
Solstice Sizzle is a light hearted romance. I did not know it was the second in the series. It was a fun book, but I think reading book 1 would have set the stage for book 2. I would recommend reading both!
This book was easy to read, hoping the next book ties up some of the lose ends! Johan and Nova are two people who have both put their Majik on hold to focus more on their lives!
I enjoyed the book but you really should read book one to help. Not required but you get more from the story.
A fun magical romantic read. I really enjoyed the magic twist and how the author mixes it up with a non-magical character and a magical one. This series is great for the lighthearted weekend read.
Solstice Sizzle is the second book in the Pagan Pleasures Series. It’s a good read filled with steamy scenes and falling into something really fast.
Johan Rogers is a lawyer trying to get away on vacation. He heads down to Crystal Sands which is Edi’s shop in the first one, too find some solace. There he meets Nova on the first day and things start to sizzle.
Nova McGinnis is a woman struggling to find her skill with the Magiks since she’s been repressed so long. She can’t get a handle on them and it’s becoming frustrating. But when Johan comes into the shop he catches her eye and she’s hooked.
Together they will have to find out if it is really about lust or could it be turned into something. It was supposed to just be a summer fling but its shaping up to be more.
I liked the book but for me, it was too rushed. I wanted more time for them to get to know each other and to fall gradually but it still worked and is a great read.
Solstice Sizzle is the second book in the Pagan Pleasures series. I did read Beltane Bliss, but I think this could be read as a standalone. However, I think the story is better if read in order.
I loved the descriptive setting. Lilliana Rose’s writing is just beautiful and I felt like I was transported there. I also enjoyed the world building bits. It was interesting to see the magic system.
Nova and Johan get together quickly, and it gets steamy and drama filled quickly too. Like Beltane Bliss, I think this story would have benefitted from being a bit longer. Expending on the characters and story would have made the difference.
Still this was enjoyable and I recommend it!
*I read this book as part of a blog tour with Rachel’s Random Resources. All opinions are my own.*
Johan and Nova have both put their Majik on the back burner of their lives to focus on other things. It comes to a head when they meet through there friend Edi. I enjoyed this book as much as the first one and I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
This book is about Johan, an attorney friend of Edi’s and a medium. He’s been struggling at both of those jobs. Nova is another friend of Edi’s who makes candles and soaps to sell in the shop. She is a magik but doesn’t know her skill. Eli is helping her find it. When Johan shows up in Edi’s shop she does some match making and sends Nova and Johan off to have a summer fling. They are flinging alright…within hour of meeting they’re at it. The whole thing felt really rushed to me and things were kept simple.
This was a cute, magical story centered around Johan and Nova (who we met in book one). The story was a quick read and a very entertaining about truly finding yourself. You also get to see a little bit from Edi (book one in series) and what is going on in her life.
