Cocky. No word better described Solomon. He projected the playboy image, but only he knew the truth. Deep inside, he wanted what his brother and friends had—a mate.Fifteen hundred years was a long time to be alone. Solomon’s pure vampire bloodline and family name made him desirable, but that didn’t take away the loneliness.Lilah was fiercely independent and distrusting of paranormals out of … paranormals out of necessity. Some treated her with contempt because of her half cheetah shifter/half fae heritage. They thought she was beneath them when she was actually superior.
Someone was determined to take Lilah’s life, but who was behind the attacks remained a mystery. Solomon fought off the first assault then became Lilah’s sole protector until he uncovered who wanted to harm her.
One wanted a mate, and the other didn’t. But fate didn’t ask for their opinion. They could only fight what was meant to be for so long before the inevitable happened. If they managed to stay alive, maybe they would learn what it meant to be fated.

Solomon Filled Stars!!!
Eek!! I wanted to dance along to Ren & Stimpy’s song Happy Happy Joy Joy when I saw Solomon’s story was the next one who’s story was being told!!
Lilah s a young cougar shifter. But, she’s not your typical shifter. She’s half cougar, half fae and she’s a loner. It was just her and her dad after her mom passed away. When her fae side came her dad abandoned her. Her closest friend Don, a bear shifter who owns the bar she works at.
Lilah’s not looking at finding a mate. It’s why she doesn’t touch anybody. When Don has a family emergency he has to go home. He calls his vampire friend Tristan to come help Lilah. She thought that was going to be hard enough. Until Solomon Verascue struts into the bar and instantly looks her way and no other afterwards.
Lilah lets him know it’s not happening and yet Solomon keeps coming back. Lilah had Solomon under control until somebody blew up the bar and tried killing her. Everything changed. Solomon, Ford, Tristan and Don all agree and urge Lilah to stay with Solomon until they can figure out whose after her and why.
Solomon’s been alone for centuries and it’s never bothered him before. But with his brother and best friends finding their mates, Solomon’s finding himself wanting what they have. He’s not actively looking for a mate but the minute he laid his eyes on Lilah he was a goner.
When somebody blew up the bar his first instinct was to make sure Lilah was safe. Solomon will do anything to keep her safe and eventually make Lilah his.
But the longer they’re together the farther away they are from finding any answers. Whoever is after them knows a lot about them. Even though Lilah insisted she didn’t want a mate she knows with just one touch Solomon’s her mate and the longer they’re together it’s harder to fight it.
Lilah might’ve been young. But, she never backed down to her feelings or what she believed in. She didn’t cringe when Solomon’s mom walked in the door and tried intimidating her. Even though she still had abandonment issues from her father she didn’t let that ruin her.
Solomon oh Solomon… I’ve loved him since the very beginning. He’s a son, brother and friend. He’s a joker. He’s a protector to the ones he loves. He’s a fighter. That’s what I’ve known him as. But, in this you see he’s also lonely. With everybody finding mates he’s afraid of being alone and wants to spend his life with somebody. When he meets Lilah he knows they belong together. Even though she wasn’t sure about them Solomon would wait another century for her to figure it out.
I loved this story!!! It had everything you’d come to expect, love and need in this word of the Avynwood Paranormals. No joke!! That epilogue was epic. I legit lmao and then wanted to cry bc it was over. Can’t wait for more from this amazing world!!
I have been a fan of Solomon since the beginning. He and his brother are just amazing characters who have such loud and our there personalities, they demand attention. Sol is just wanting what everyone around him has his mate. He meets Lilah a bartender at a local bear shifters tavern. He just knows she could be the one, but she wouldn’t give him the time of day let along touch her. Lilah is a cheetah/fae shifter who is so guarded she will not let anyone close to her. Sol isn’t willing to give up and when danger comes he isn’t letting Lilah out of his sight.
I liked this book but I thought Lilah was a bit much she was pretty much rude and disrespectful to many people especially to Sol’s mom. I liked them together and all-new characters we met. The whole twist was unexpected but worked. This series keeps me so interested and entertained.
Omg I’ve been waiting for Solomon’s story and of course I was t disappointed at all. Solomon has finally found his match in Lilah but she wants nothing too do with him. I love how protected Sol was with Lilah and of course when they finally got together it was absolutely perfection. I absolutely love this series and every character and I can’t wait too read more. Another amazing 5 star read that will have you glued too your kindle.
Another riveting book in the Paranormals of Avynwood series. The storyline is well written, action-packed, intriguing, and emotionally deep. The humour, mystery, suspense, and friendships make this an even more enjoyable and interesting read. The characters are loveable; the chemistry between them is off the charts and undeniable. It is a very exciting read and comes highly recommended. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

You know a book is going to be good when the dedication is to the characters from the book rather than real life people.
Ford insisted this book be dedicated to him and him alone. His reasoning was that without him, Sol wouldn’t have been a part of my Avynwood world. Sol, however, said that was ridiculous. So, the book is dedicated to both of them. For without them, this world I created would be a lot less interesting.
I just love, love, love the world that Michelle Dare has created with this characters. My obsession with this world was originally peaked with the Ariane Trilogy series with Orion and Ariane and it has grown to a full blown obsession, where I just want to live in Michelle Dare’s head so I can live out each and everyday with the moon. Orion and Ariane are and will always be my favourite couple as they are the originals that started me down this nutter train. But I do have to be honest that Solomon and Lilah are closely behind them.
We all know and love Solomon with his quirky personality, but how well do we really know him? He always seems like he is happy to be alone and pester his family and friends when he feels like it. But things can be deceiving.
This book really opened my eyes to who Solomon really is. I really thought that the vampire we have all watched become a part of the Avynwood Family was happy and content with his life. Solomon Verascue is a fifteen hundred year old Vampire that just wants what all of his friends and brother have, someone to call his own, a mate.
Solomon and Lilah’s story is just bursting at the seams with romance, friendship, mystery, suspense, and so much more.
Another great addition to the Paranormals of Avynwood series!
We’ve met Solomon in previous books, he’s sexy, he’s funny, he’s very cocky! We believe he’ll never fall in love or get a mate and he’s fine with that….or is he? He meets up with Lilah, a woman who will test his attitude, his patience and his view of ever finding/wanting a mate.
Lilah works at Donovan’s bar. They are best friends and she loves him so much. However, he definitely is not her mate. While working one day this gorgeous man comes in and tries oh so hard to impress her. She’s not amused. But, at the same time she’s attracted to him but refuses to touch him just in case he’s to be her mate. She’s not interested nor is she ready for that…ever.
Gotta say Ford and Solomon are my favorite characters in this series. I was so happy to read Solomon’s story and read intently, non stop as Michelle Dare pulled back Solomon’s layers one by one! He’s such an amazing vampire!! Great story!!
This was my first book in this series and I liked the different presentation of the paranormals. Sol and his brother actually watched out for the safety of humans, not as an expectation, but because it mattered to them. That was a very nice, unique touch to introducing us to their world.
Solomon Verascue himself was an unmated playboy by reputation. But with everyone around him finding their mate, he wanted to find that special someone for himself too. When he wanders inside Grizzly Don’s Tavern, he finds Lilah, a cheetah shifter/Fae bartender. Among her skills, she is magical and can read minds, bringing Sol to her attention. She is a strong female, but will she give Sol a chance to prove himself worthy of her? She definitely brought out the good side of Sol! When someone is determined to take Lilah’s life, Solomon became Lilah’s sole protector. Who was after her and why?
I really did enjoy this book with its banter and light humor that draws me right in! Solomon and Lilah’s story is a delightful romance and friendship that makes the reader experience positive feelings for them. Will he find his happiness? Will he find his fated mate? Grab your copy and find out!
The eagerly awaited book for Solomon was an interesting mix of fun, danger and surprises. Solomon is always portrayed as a “goof”, not really serious ever, very snarky and thinks he is all that and a bag of chips. Ms. Dare has completed a difficult feet by showing us what lurks behind his cocky attitude. Living for as long as he has is sure to be lonely, meeting Lilah ( Connie) came out of the blue and sends him on an interesting quest to find out why the female intrigues him so much. I love the interactions between the main characters, the age difference is sure to be a big issue but Kylist and Raven overcame it so Sol and Lilah will too. I had to laugh at Sol’s antics to annoy the young lady, but I knew he would ware her down. This story is easy to read, fun, fast, has great characters and a mystery to figure out. Lots of twists and turns. OMG, his mom is a blast, I hope to someday get her and Seth’s story. hint, hint. 🙂 A great addition to this awesome series. I eagerly await what comes next.
Michelle Dare does it again. Another sexy vampire to swoon over.
He’s mine.
ALL MINE!
I have gotten to where I really get into this world so when the door opens again in I go. Solomon is the center of this one with us getting up close and personal. He will have some changes when when he stepped into the role of a protector with Lilah. That is one interesting character there. This will have them facing obstacles that have us holding our breaths at times. They also had another more interesting fight at times that has us paying attention even curling our toes. Alot of facets to this one keeping you turning the pages until there is no more.
Solomon, a 1500 year old vampire, was never serious about life or love. Then he met Lilah, a cheetah sifter and fae. She was so serious about never mating, she wouldn’t touch anyone. She was so afraid of being deserted by her mate because her father left her after her mother died in childbirth. The story is interesting and engaging with lots of love, mating, and mystery. I enjoyed all of the characters and found them to be memorable. Good read!

I thoroughly enjoy diving into the world created by Michelle Dare once again. In this newest installment, I saw and appreciated a different side to her world. Previously, Solomon seems happy to keep to himself and watch the others live life for the most part and hiding his true emotions behind his shenanigans. The tone of this read may seem a bit more subdued, in some parts, do not fret, all of the author’s outstanding humor is still there and our favorite characters make their appearances, when needed, with all of their own personalities shining bright.
When I first found this series, I will be honest, I was unsure if I wanted to read due to the main character being in High School but I was enjoying the humorous quips and writing of this amazing author. By the end of the Ariana Trilogy I could not wait to devour the Avynwood Series. With all the different personalities there is someone for everyone (maybe more than one for me!)… now I will tap my foot and wait impatiently for the next adventure.
I would recommend all to read this series because this is a world that is relatable, with characters I want to hang out and create havoc with in the good times and have at my back all the other times.

Once again Michelle Dare brings an incredible addition to the Avynwood Series! I fell in love with all these characters back in the Ariane Trilogy and I have to say I have yet to be disappointed by any book in this spin off. Solomon is a character I grew to love a whole lot through previous books and it’s an understatement to say I was excited to finally see this playboy meet his match.
What I wasn’t expecting was the softer, sweeter side that resides within him. There is definitely a whole lot more than meets the eye with Solomon and Lilah certainly brought brought that out with him. I was positively swooning every time he showed that secret side of himself with her. I was also laughing like crazy at his usual antics too though, so it’s a toss up on which I loved more.
Solomon and Lilah have a story that’s bursting at the seams with romance, friendship, mystery and suspense. Michelle Dare has me glued to the pages and staying up waaaaay past my bedtime because I couldn’t put this one down!
I just love the Versacue brothers. Its a toss up between Ford and Solomon. Sol is that sarcastic, funny, friend that’s annoying but you always want around. He has grown & grownnon me throughout the Paranormals of Avynwood series. His story is just fabulous. I loved reading about him & Lilah. Lilah is young, fiesty, fresh & can kick arse. A total match for Sol. This book sees all the usual gang back and you just can’t put the book down. Definitely Teamverascue xx
The Avynwood Series just keeps getting better and better with the spin offs that accompany it. During the Ariane Trilogy, we get introduced to Solomon Verascue, who’s Ford Verascue’s brother. Both are extremely hot in their own way of course and I can’t help but to love them both equally now after reading this. Solomon’s playboy side is fun and full of entertainment, but I got to see the softer, tamer side to him in this book and it was fan-freaking-tastic.
Sol has been searching for his mate for a long time and upon meeting the enticing bar tender Lilah, he knows that somehow she’s different from all of the other ladies he’s met. As the story progresses, so does the entertainment value. I enjoyed the banter between Lilah and Sol and watching their relationship grow from butting heads with one another to something more. Lilah is great for Sol. She’s young, feisty, independent and strong. She certainly doesn’t allow anyone to intimidate or boss her around either. Which makes her interaction with Sol’s mother that much more delightful.
A few of my most favorite characters also make an appearance in this book, which I appreciated and welcomed. Michelle Dare is a character writing genius. All of the characters in her books are awesome in their own way and bring an exciting and great element to each story. I truly enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to all.
How I love the Verascue brothers. Solomon is looking for his mate. All his friends and family seem to have found them except him. He wanders from one female to the next not finding his true mate until he wanders inside a bar and finds her. Connie (Lilah) is a cheetah fae who tends bar at Grizzly Don’s Tavern. She was abandon by her father and never met her mother because she died in childbirth. Lilah has magic and can read minds her strong wit and attitude has protected her so far but in comes Solomon. Who is this arrogant man who can break into my thoughts? Soon she realizes that Solomon is not a nobody and he will not give up on his quest to win her over. But will she give him a chance and is there someone trying to hurt her. I always love his strong the female characters in these books are and these characters keep drawing you in to the story and wanting more.
What is not to love in this story? Sol has made his mark in the readership of the Avynwood pack stories and I for one have been waiting for this one. Sol the proverbial 10 year old finally finds a woman to tame him. Lilah isn’t just a shifter but is part far and strong enough to handle Sol and the Veracuse family. This story left me with a smile on my face and happiness in my heart.
Michelle Dare does it again. Solomon’s Surrender brings to life everyone’s favorite PITA. You can try and deny it but Solomon is the plucky comic relief in this cast of ever expanding paranormals. Its safe o say he has always been my favorite.
Solomon finally…FINALLY gets his mate! I know I’m making a big deal out of this but he isn’t exactly a spring chicken. This “distinguished ” vampire has 1500 years under his belt. A long time to be lonely…
As to be expected with Sol, his story has plenty of comic relief intertwined with his unique storyline. I love the squirrel like tendencies, they make me feel like I could be a Verascue!
Though I gave Michelle Dare crap for not naming Sol’s mate Becky, I can see how, maybe, Lilah was a better choice…*coughs maybe*. (I’m sure she’s just wait for Tris to find me or even Titus…I’M SURE THAT’S THE DELAY!) If Michelle can’t get her act together, I will just have to stalk Lealla for my turn. #goals
If you are new to Avynwood (shame on you- I mean welcome!), your absolute best bet is to start with Ariane’s trilogy. The rest of you should know Sol is mine but you can totally read about him.
I loved the story about Solomon finally finding his mate! Brings in his family and friends to help with finding out what is happening. Nice to visit pack house again! Absolutely love the series.
