My body had never been touched by a man. Then I was sold to seven of them. The city was my only chance to survive, but I didn’t make it an hour before I was caught. They stripped me, punished me, and then auctioned me off. Not to just one man, but to seven battle-hardened brutes hungry for a woman to claim and ravish in the most shameful ways imaginable. But even as these rugged mercenaries set … rugged mercenaries set about mastering my virgin body and teaching me what it means to belong to them completely, they offer me something that I never thought I’d have…
Though they bought me for their use, I have become much more than merely their property. They paid for me with money, but in my heart I know they would protect me with their lives.
Publisher’s Note: Sold includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don’t buy this book.

Trissa lives in a dystopian society after society has fallen and women are rare. So rare that one in the Wild is unheard of. But Trissa lost her freedom over three oranges.
After she is taken, she more or less stages a coup unbeknownst to her.
And she then becomes the property of seven men. Well, nine with Matthias and Elias.

Intense and compelling, this reverse harem, dark romance has both an over-the-top feel to it while also offering a harsh and scary scenario that is all to plausible. The storyline is exciting and filled with drama, action, danger, suspense, humor, steam and BDSM elements. I thought this was a very good read but I feel it will not be for everyone.
Again, Ms Renard wrote an amazing story. How does one come up with a story line that is a reverse harem, post apocalyptic, steamy and romantic all in one? Well if you are the author, you can do it. While the title says it is a dark romance, I really did not see it to be dark. I loved the all the characters (except the evil ones) in this book. The female character was a very strong individual and her warrior mercs were dominant but full of unique personalities. I do not want to spoil the story line for any reader, but I will share that some of the twists as the story moved forward started me crying. That is how much I loved the characters. Ms Renard spins an amazing story in this book. If you are a fan of her books and haven’t yet bought this one, you really need to and when you start to read it, make sure you have lots of time to finish it. I found it to be an impossible task to put it down until the end. If you have not yet read one of her books, give this one a try if you enjoy this genre. Well done Ms Renard!!!!
Wow, this was an intense ride that kept me on edge the entire time I was reading it. I never quite knew what was happening next and where things were going, but daaaaang. So good.
Trissa is wild, for sure. I think she’s smart, but it’s all in how to survive in the wild and not in how to deal with the world she lives in. After she’s been captured and sold off, she’s truly ignorant, which is bad, it just means she’s never had the chance to learn those things. And it’s obvious.when she thinks income tax is the worst cuss word ever. She is cunning, but doesn’t think the consequences through at all. Incredibly impulsive.
I like all 9 involved guys, I think Mattias and Silver are my favorites. I kind of like Tore too.
Very good story, massive roller coaster, loved it all, even when I hated parts of it.
~Caught red handed~
Exciting dystopian world, where we meet mercs with many motives, beginning first with the sharing of Trissa. She is trained by men of other ilk, however, and they firmly set the pace for the dominant warriors who have bought her for themselves. But that is not the only challenges Trissa has in store for her nor for the multiple masters who have inserted themselves firmly into her life…
A different and dark but by no means less engrossing read!
Loki Renard has once again brought her own unique style and flair to a reverse harem storyline with characters full of personality that come to life off the pages. This was a well written erotica with heart. Stern and loving rather than dark. If you are tired of the every day reverse harem with the standard storyline that just inserts different names, by all means, let Loki Renard show you how it’s done. This one is so worth more than five stars.

It has been a long time since I have read such a magnificent dark reverse harem romance, this romance is set in dystopian/post-apocalyptic United States & it certainly kept my attention until the last page was turned. I found the characters to be well-developed with well-defined personalities, individually each of them are quite unique & display realistic emotional feelings. The plot scenario is conceivable & well-written with some devious undertones & unexpected occurrences.
There is: a strong-willed independent young woman (Trissa), the male mercenaries who become involved in her life (Pharaoh/Mattias, Silver/ Seraph, Alexios/Gladiator, Cowboy/Rick, Zen/Steve, Keanau/Tattoo Face, Nordic Man/Tore), the two male eunuchs/slaves (Mattias & Elias), twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, adventure, action, some humor, danger, enemies, threats, riots, invasion, war, conflict, dubious consent, escape attempts, strange profanity, emotional turmoil, fear, defiance, defensiveness, public humiliation, loss, grief, betrayal, punishment, spanking, ideas, unexpected surprise, dismay, submission, contentment, graphic steamy scenes & a satisfying ending.
I really enjoyed reading this dark romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre.
I really liked this story. It was reminiscent of older Ms. Renard stories which I love. The world building was very well done. I loved the twists and how the leadership got upended. Trissa maintained her tough personality throughout the story in spite of the men trying to guide her. This is a story about a dark time in a post-apocalyptic world, with lots of sex, heat, discipline and death. A well written dark tale.
I did not want to close the pages on Trissa and her world
Sold takes its reader on an emotional journey that is both delightful and entertaining – So many of the RH books are the same “got ya” “men beating chest” “woman capitulates” “yadda yadda” – just different names and altered scenes – That was not the case here not even close!
I truly wish this was a bit longer read (yes that is me being greedy) there were so many possibilities within this story as well as back story lines. Exceptional characters that I wanted more of it – I loved Trissa, for the most part, (there were a couple times I wanted to spank her arse )she was funny – a touch feral and quite wily – heavens did she bring it – she was strong-willed and at no time did she truly capitulate she took time to process the events and choose the correct response – she was honest with herself
The men were an enticing and fervent buffet of personage – Again this is an area I truly wish we had gotten more of. We do get to spend a little time with each character and we touch briefly on who they are – Trissa’s nicknames helped greatly in attaching personalities and physical descriptions – I just wished we had gotten a bit more backstory
Overall a wonderfully engaging post-apocalyptic read – This does contain scenes that are dub con – as well as some domestic discipline – this is a dark romance after all
Sold is a dark, reverse harem romance. Trissa was born into a world where she’s far outnumbered, extremely rare, and not just wild, but free. While in the city, trying to find money and security, she’s discovered, taken, and sold to several men. Her whole life is about to change, but will Trissa keep her wildness, or will her new owners break her spirit?
Holy smokes! This book was amazing, intense, full of fierce independence, facing the consequences of your actions, and realizing that fate might be more involved than we ever realized. Trissa is such a strong character, full of life, full of rash decisions, and I love that she refuses to curb her wildness. Her men were all unique, all dominant, all giving her different things that she needed and craved. This book will take you through all of the emotions, action packed, full of political drama, and their passion was scorching the pages. Dark romances always get my heart pounding right from the beginning, with dubious consent, being overtaken by strength and numbers, punishment scenes, and definitely having some darker tones. I really enjoyed this romance and look forward to more books from Ms. Renard!
This was my first reverse harem book. I rather enjoyed. I loved the dynamic between the characters and the interesting plot. Women becoming a commodity in a dystopian future is very original. How Loki Renard keeps all these interesting and intriguing stories in her head amazes me. I recommend this book for anyone who has an open mind to such things as I do.
WTF, oh my god this is one of the best books I have read in a long time! Ms. Renard always delivers but this time she has outdone herself!
I loved every aspect of this story, the fantastic, well rounded characters, the flashes of humor, a strong female lead, and a host of hot blooded alpha males. Yes there is smoking hot sex scenes, some with dub/con, but beyond the sensuality of this story is just the overall emotions it invoked. I smirked, I cheered for our gal, I lusted after the men, I ranted and I cried.
A one point in this story I was absolutely gutted! Why, why, why? Because life does not come easy or without a cost, without pain there is no joy, without loss there is no gain and with lust/love there is sacrifice.
The world they live in is harsh, especially for women, but one moment in time can bring about great changes, good, bad and ugly.
Give yourself a gift and take a few hours to read a story that will lift you up, rip your heart out and leave you speechless!
This is a post-apocalyptic world where females are few, so they “kept” and “cherished”. A woman that has been always been free gets caught and pays a price. Then, add some mercenaries, bad men and a murder create and you get story that is awesome. There is alot of sex and spanking with some soul searching. I love the way Loki writes. All her books have different plots with strong characters. I’m now going to reread all my Loki books again.
Good God this was fantastic I loved every word, every emotion I cried I laughed and cheered and I absolutely loved Trissa, her determination and her fight to be free from captivity she was so strong and her attitude was refreshing. I loved all the men but Mattias was my favorite he just took my heart. Full of hot scenes and punishments and intense hot scenes. This will be one of my favorite it is very different and I loved every word. It is so well written from page one and the character development is outstanding. A must read
I have always appreciated the writings of Loki Renard and she certainly didn’t disappoint in this book as well! Trissa is a “wild thing” who lives alone in the wilderness, trying to avoid civilization where females are rare and enslaved. But Trissa ventures into the city and is captured. Her journey from loneliness to love is a very interesting story, and one I highly recommend!
Too many men, but the story was good, I was actually happy when some died lol.
Mattias was my favorite of all the men. Poor Trissa just wanted to sell her oranges
but got caught and the king took her over.
This book completely surprised me all the way through. It is much more than just a really really hot and sexy story. There’s adventure, happiness, grief, and of course the men every woman want to meet. Trissa is more than you could ever imagine and she doesn’t give up for anything or anyone. Her men are strong, courageous, and know what they want. There are many surprises throughout the story along with great characters and a strong storyline. You absolutely want to read this book.
Another little gem from the talented Loki Renard! I have to say that, for me, this book wasn’t necessarily dark. While it had some dark elements, it came across as almost sweet which isn’t a bad thing. Most of the men really care for the heroine and don’t want to break her but rather tame her somewhat for her own safety. I really liked Trissa. She is a strong heroine who has had to overcome a lot in life. I really enjoyed the humor in this book. Trissa’s use of “bad words” is definitely something! I loved that all the heroes in the book brought something unique to the table and had separate relationships with Trissa. As always, when it come to Ms. Renard’s books, there is plenty of steam. Overall, I would definitely recommend this book to all the fans of scorching alien romance.
