This review is for both books. Sociopath’s Obsession & Sociopath’s Revenge.
I’m fully invested in V.F. Mason words. This was my second time reading this duet and I can say that I enjoyed it as much as I did the first time. There’s just something so addictive about D and his obsessive ways that I couldn’t help but fall in love with.
The plot is a little bit irrational, but we are talking about fiction here, right? So I think it was ok. In the end, what really matters is whether you enjoyed the story or not. And let me tell you, this one was oh-so-enjoyable.
My favorite book of this duet was definitely Sociopath’s Revenge. I think it was because of Kristina, I really liked her character and this is the book where they finally got their well deserved HEA, so that’s that.
If you’re looking for a dark-ish reading with an obsessive hero, give this duet a chance.
This was the continuation and conclusion to the story that began back in Sociopath’s Obsession.
So when we left things and after that shocking conclusion, Sapphire was alone pregnant and heartbroken with some big decisions to make regarding the future ahead.
But things aren’t quite what they seem on the surface and there’s still so much more to come.
There are some big surprises for both Sapphire and Damien as the past meets the present in dramatic fashion.
There are also new players added to the mix and this one was really explosive.
This was set five years after the first book and I wasn’t actually a fan of the big time-lapse or the inclusion of Rose.
Though I’m sure I will take to her more when I get to experience her story next, here she did irritate me slightly.
I just found her annoying overall especially when she was acting all team, Damien, like she was the only one that cared about him and lecturing Sapphire on how she treated him.
It just got my back up slightly the way she was warning Sapphire off and I thought she needed to but out.
I have a low tolerance for take over toms and she smacked of this.
I also thought Damien should have pre-warned Sapphire about Rose I can’t believe he didn’t even mention he was living with a woman that was never going to go down well when just dumped on someone you’d think he’d give the love of his life a heads-up so she doesn’t jump to conclusions.
Despite the above, I still enjoyed this one a lot and definitely recommend.
This really was a gripping series that I enjoyed massively.

The second book in the Duet and it is also a tie in with Pakhan’s Rose. A lot of loose ends get tied up. What I liked about the book was that is was about personal growth and making decisions that make are best for you and the people you love.
And the reunion everyone was waiting for.
This is the conclusion of the Sociopath duet
We pick up a few years later, but don’t worry we do a little back and forth time travel by way of memories, so nothing is missed.
Sapphire and her daughter have settled into a new life, new identities. They are safe and have a chance at a solid future. But for Sapphire, it is without the one man who completed her.
Damian is battling with his inner Sociopath and not everything is going his way.
The injuries he sustained from the shooting were pretty severe and proper help didn’t find him for quite a while- sooo not telling.
Conrad knows where his Sapphire is but refuses to endanger them by revealing their whereabouts to Damian.
When he finally is offered the chance to see his Sapphire, to hold her once again, to meet his little girl, he finds himself unsure for the first time in a long time.
Love isn’t always enough and reclaiming his Sapphire and uniting with his child may not be on the cards for him.
We get to meet some new characters that IMO are a fabulous addition to our merrily psychotic cast.
Past sins are revealed
Plots become even more twisted
Those we thought lost, return – and not all are welcome back.
Things get dangerously out of control for Damian and Sapphire
I really enjoyed how the loose ends came together.
The story line was easy to follow and I enjoyed that we got Dom’s POV as well as some of the other major players.
Yes, there are multi-POV and it works!
I’m looking forward to reading Dom’s story next
A Great Conclusion to this series…5+Stars…
You must read the first book in this series before reading this one. This is a great conclusion for the story. I had no idea how Ms Mason would end this book. There are so many twists and turns. I was on the edge of my seat the entire book and could not put it down. I love Dominic and Damian and how they survived their torturous past. Read this series today if you like dark romance.
Sociopath’s Revenge is Book 2 of the Sociopath duet. Book one (Sociopath’s Obsession) must be read first to avoid spoilers and for the book to make sense. As with all V.F. Mason’s books, I loved Sociopath’s Revenge. I fell in love with the dark, cold, protective, and yet loving Sociopath in book 1. This book is written as a dark romance and it picks up right where book 1 ended. Sapphire remains a survivor who is resilient and strong as she strives to protect her daughter and stay in hiding. Even though Sociopath and Sapphire were separated for years, they are still tethered by that unbreakable bond. Dominic is similar to his brother with the darkness, a thirst for vengeance, and his obsession with a woman. He is another one of those characters that you love to hate. All three are caught in a web of suspense, action, intrigue, as well as twists and turns. Sociopath’s Revenge is told mainly from 3 POVs- Sociopath’s (Damian), Sapphire’s, and Dominic’s. I also enjoyed the introduction of the secondary characters of Rose, her father Don, and part of the Russian mafia as well as the further development of Connor. If you have read Pakhan’s Rose, you will see a few repeated scenes from other’s POV.
I love seeing how everything unraveled in this book. Also how it all came back together. Can’t wait to read the next series!
