From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Kristen Proby… she takes jobs teaching yoga in each place she lands in. She’s happy being free, and has no interest in being tied down.
When Noah King gets the call that an eagle has been injured, he’s not expecting to find a beautiful stranger standing vigil when he arrives. Rehabilitating birds of prey is Noah’s passion, it’s what he lives for, and he doesn’t have time for a nosy woman who’s suddenly taken an interest in Spread Your Wings sanctuary.
But Fallon’s gentle nature, and the way she makes him laugh, and feel again draws him in. When it comes time for Fallon to move on, will Noah’s love be enough for her to stay, or will he have to find the strength to let her fly?
The Kristen Proby Crossover Collection features a new novel by Kristen Proby and six books by some of her favorite writers:

3.5 Stars. I liked this book but I had a few issues. The good – I liked the characters and the supporting cast, the town etc. Even not having read this series since the original 3 books it was very enjoyable to see all the people and the town of Cunningham Falls is a great setting. The meeting was cute and both MCs were likeable. A bit insta-love but it is a novella so it worked fine.
My not so loves -1- I don’t like it when the blurb doesn’t match the book and this blurb says Noah “doesn’t have time for a nosy” woman. That never happens. He never pushes her away or tries to avoid her. I’m fact HE pursues HER from the beginning. No problem there but I don’t like when my expectations are different bc of the blurb. 2- I just had trouble suspending my belief at times here. The H runs a bird sanctuary and he appears to be quite well off financially but – how?? How does he earn a living or have all this land and $? How is the sanctuary supported or how is this an actual job and one that employs multiple other people? So confused. 3. I’ll leave out so not to spoil specific events
Overall, ok read but not amazing.
Okay, so there is no point in hiding that the Kristen Proby Crossover Collection had me on board from the very start. An all-new Kristen Proby story?! GIMME! But the draw was strong for several of the other authors as well for is romance junkie ! I mean, really, it’s got an amazing lineup of authors who are sure to deliver outstanding reads. And if I had to describe Soaring with Fallon in one word? Perfect. I mean, yes, its Kristen Proby, so I expect a fantastic story with amazing characters and she absolutely delivers that to readers with her latest release. But after reading the other two books in the Crossover Collection, I was kinda expecting short and fluffy—neither of which is a bad thing by any means—but I should know better than to pigeonhole this particular author because she is always surprising me. I have been reading Kristen’s work for a lot of years—when Come Away with Me was her only release—and I fell in love with her writing. I would argue they are some of my favorite reads. So I know better than to underestimate her ability to create truly amazing books and somehow I still did right up until I got sucked into Soaring with Fallon.
And what I deduced while reading was that yes, while Soaring with Fallon is a lighter read overall, it was in no way a fluffy romance as I anticipated it would be. The characters well developed and progressed beautifully. I loved that she wrote a hero that is as abrasive as he is sweet. Noah won me over immediately as I am sure he will anyone who picks up this one. But it was Fallon that really got to me. Its easy to love the sweet, sexy, the all-around great guy that was Noah and while Fallon was indeed sweet and a great person, she didn’t have the upbringing behind her that Noah was afforded. Her story made me unbelievably sad, and I wanted so badly to see her HEA with that real storybook prince—which is exactly what I got and it left me on cloud 9!!! The plot is sweet and heartwarming and delivered smoothly. The pace is a little slow but that’s not a bad thing considering I followed this one up from a truly dark romance. The only real drawback for me as a reader is the story setting as I am not a huge fan of small-town romances, but it’s Kristen Proby and we’ve developed that that trumps all else in my book. I found this small town, dual perspective romance equally heartwarming, intriguing and sexy and would rate it as 4.5 stars.
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
It was a great book!
Fallon was afraid that her life was just going to pass her by in a sea of meetings and conference calls.
The corporate ladder was weighing her down.
Now, she does what she wants, when she wants.
Life is more relaxing this way.
Noah is the owner of a birds or prey rehabilitation center.
When he receives a call that an eagle is injured, he was only expecting to find an injured eagle.
What he found was Fallon who intrigued him from the beginning.
As they got to know one another, their connection deepen.
Is Fallon ready to give up her Nomad life + settle at Cunningham Falls for good ?
Will she give love a chance ?
Loved the characters + the storytelling!
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
I can’t wait for the next book in this series.
No one can write a small town romance like Kristen Proby!!!
I totally fell head over heels for Noah King and Fallon! She even had me falling for an eagle too
Soaring with Fallon is part of the Kristen Proby Crossover collection and it is so fun seeing different characters introduced and running into old familiar faces.
I absolutely loved this book and it is another 5 star review for Kristen!
This is my first book to have read by Kristen Proby and as soon as I picked it up to read I was totally enchanted by her storytelling. Every word and every sentence became such a pleasure to read and utterly devour. The characters of Fallon and Noah became so realistic to me as their story came to life on the page, and I felt every fight and battle with emotions that they both faced to reach their HEA. Their romance is a slow burn that soon becomes an all consuming passion.
While reading this book it left me begging to know where their story would take them, I quickly became so captivated by their story. I just couldn’t put down this book to get on with my household chores, as the writing and storytelling is just to good.
As a couple Noah and Fallon have great chemistry and even with a troubled past they get to find what it’s really like to have a family that love and support you no matter what, and get to see what the true meaning of home is. Their story is very quirky and fun but it also covers some very deep and emotional trauma that only adds to the background of the story. This book has everything a romance lover could ever want and definitely didn’t disappoint me in any way.
This was the second book in this series I read, the other one was by another favorite author of mine, Samantha Young. It was fun reading this one after Hold On, because I always getting to have a peek back into the world of characters I’ve enjoyed from other books. This one started off similar in that I assumed it was going to be a very short and sweet story. However this story-line was longer than I guessed at first, and I was definitely glad for that. I enjoyed the time that Fallon and Noah had to get together and get to know each other, and finally to fall in love. There were several road blocks in their way, and each one seemed to be a perfect fit for what the characters needed to overcome to get to their happily ever after.
I am hoping to read more of the books in the series at some point, because I want to know more about the different characters that I know I met in this book. My only issue at all, is that in both this synopsis and the synopsis for the other one I read, it makes it seem as if the man is going to hold out more than he does. The guys really do seem to know exactly what they want, and that it is this woman, almost as soon as they meet them.
Noah was the perfect hero for this story. His love for Fallon was quick and intense and all consuming. Fallon was the wanderer. Moving from place to place and never really setting down roots. Until she came to Cunningham Falls. She started making friends…real friends. And she met Noah. Who gave her the beginning of those roots. And before she knew it, she was planted deep and found her person, her friends and her place. Wonderful story from Kristen Proby.
Soaring with Fallon is the next installment in the Big Sky series and is also book 1 of 7 in the new Kristen Proby Crossover Collection. The Crossover Series features additional books by Sawyer Bennett, KL Grayson, Laura Kaye, Monica Murphy, Rachel Van Dyken and Samantha Young.
Proby starts this new series with two names we are familiar with from previous Big Sky books- Fallon McCarthy and Noah King. Fallon is a beautiful, independent, yoga instructor that has been on her own since the passing of her grandmother. She has traveled the country to find a place where she belongs and finds true friendships in this small Montana community. Noah King is a handsome, zoologist that was born and raised in a big family in Montana. He is also the owner of Spread Your Wings sanctuary and meets Fallon on a rescue call for an injured eagle.
These two characters by Proby have wonderful chemistry that sizzle the pages. They bond over their mutual concern for an injured eagle and their relationship “soars” from there, finding companionship, friendship, family and adventure along the way. While this book does include some of our favorite Cunningham Falls couples, this can be read as a stand-alone as well. I highly encourage reading the entire Big Sky series because each book is better than the last. You just can’t go wrong with any of Proby’s books.
**On another note, I’m not a bird person AT ALL! I actually have a phobia to birds of all sizes, but this is probably the only time I’ve wanted to pet and hug an eagle. Proby just has that unique ability that will connect you to the book on a higher level .. even with an eagle!
Soaring with Fallon by Kristen Proby is another novella in her crossover collection and book 4 in her Big Sky series. Each novella is a standalone and each novel in the Big Sky series can also be read as a standalone.
Fallon lost the only family she had several years ago and decided it was time to live in all the places she’s dreamed of living. A couple of years ago, she landed in Cunningham Falls, Montana, and instead of moving on, she’s stayed. It’s feeling like home. And for once, she’s not feeling the need to move on. Noah grew up in Cunningham Falls, went to college, and promptly returned home. Everything he knows and loves is here, including his bird rescue business/mission, Spread Your Wings. When fate throws them together, will Fallon want to move on or will Noah convince her to dig her claws in and stay?
I’m a HUGE fan of Kristen Proby’s With Me in Seattle series. I’ve loved every book from book one on. And maybe it’s because I’ve loved that series so much that I found it harder to fall into the Big Sky series. I’ve enjoyed the books, don’t get me wrong. But not on the same level. With that said, I did enjoy Fallon & Noah’s story. Both characters are strong and sure of themselves. They are happy alone but happier together. And Cunningham Falls just seems like a place I’d love to live. Small town. Everyone knows everyone. And the pace is just…a lot more laid back. Like I said, my kind of town!
NICUnurse’s Rating: For a quick, entertaining read of contemporary romance, I do recommend Soaring with Fallon. I enjoyed watching two very strong, very independent characters learn that loving someone doesn’t make you weak or less than, and that settling down in a happily ever after doesn’t mean you give up your dreams. It simply means you work together to make both people’s dreams grow. I give Soaring with Fallon 4 stars!
I am so very lucky that I was able to be an ARC read for this book and 3 other stories in this series. I have now been introduced to 2 new authors (who I love and must find more of their books). These stories are standalone but there are people that are connected. I love how Fallon and Noah met. I’m a huge sucker for the instant connection/falling in love. I won’t reveal the story but let me tell you that you get steaming hot sex, your heart might stop a moment with something that happens, you’ll laugh and you will fall in love with the King family and all their friends. Kristen…there is a huge hit with this series and I want to move to Cunningham Falls.
This book/series is a definite must read!!!
Wow, I loved this story!
Meet Fallon, she’s been moving all around for a while now, but she’s been in Cunningham Falls now for about 2 years. She’s likes it in this quaint town, teaches yoga classes, and just feels comfortable here. When out on a hike, she finds an injured eagle, she calls Spread Your Wings, run by Noah King, when he shows up to take the injured eagle, Fallon see’s how hot he is!
One thing leads to another with these two, that throws them together, and they begin a hot, yet adorable relationship!
I loved this story, Kristen is an amazing author, each of her stories get better and better! 5 shooting stars for this one! Grab it asap!
Soaring for Fallon is the fourth book in the Big Sky series by one of my all-time favorite authors, Kristen Proby. I have read the first two books in the series and somehow missed the third. Kicking my ass for that. I also read her Love Under the Big Sky series but back to this one. It is also part of her Crossover Collection with six other authors. This is the third of the collection I have read and have loved them all. It’s so much fun!
Fallon is one of the newest residents in Cunningham Falls. She moved to the small town two years ago and is the yoga instructor to many. She has a hard time making friends since she doesn’t plan on staying around for long. She likes move around the country but Cunningham Falls is different. She likes the small town and it’s people. She doesn’t really have close friends but has many acquaintances through her studio.
Noah King was born and raised in Cunningham Falls and plans to stay until his last breath. He runs the Spread Your Wings birds sanctuary and when he got a call about an injured eagle, his life was forever changed. It was his chance to finally see her up close. He has seen Fallon around town but he wasn’t looking for love. His work and his family were enough but now that she came into his life, he can’t imagine it without her. He knew that from the moment they spoke.
But, does she want to stay in one place? Is Cunningham Falls enough for her? Will it make her happy?
I absolutely loved this story. Noah is so damn sweet, flirty, and sexy. Fallon is beautiful inside and out. Together, they are so much fun!! They are comfortable with each other and it’s sweet. He wants to make her feel like this could be her home. Forever. His family and friends do too. And speaking of them, it was awesome to see what couples were up to from the previous series’ and also from this crossover. They way they interconnect is brilliant.
Overall…it was a story full of heat, love, family, friends, yoga, birds, and ice cream. I loved every minute of it! I laughed. I cried. I got hot and bothered.
Quotes:
“You know, one of my favorite things about being an adult is that I can eat ice cream for dinner and no one gets to tell me I can’t.”
“Fallon,” he says quietly. “If you don’t get your fine ass out of my bed right now, I’ll pin you to it and fuck you into the mattress.
I spring from the bed and kiss him as I hurry past him on my way to the guest room. “I’d like to request a rain check for the mattress thing,” I call over my shoulder.
“I’m going to do things to you tonight that you never even knew were possible.”
“Spread Your Wings”
Another Kristen’s book to love!
I love her characters, her plots and her books. I love all the feelings I get from her stories and I love I always end them with my full of hope and love!
And it wasn’t different with this book!
Noah King is sexy, such a gentleman and he cares about people and animals. He is sweet, honest and he does whatever he can for the ones he cares about. His heart is always in the right place and he has no doubts about his feelings, so when he realizes what he wants, there is no wonder or questions, he is sure.
And coming from a big loving family, it’s not difficult for him to let his feelings show, he just needed the right person.
Fallon, on the other hand, is introspective. Not used to a big family and a solid group of friends, she always saw herself as a burden, not a blessing.
But when she goes to the sweet litlle Cunningham Falls, she starts to realize maybe there it’s a good place to get roots. She has friends now, she has connections, she has a place she loves and then she has what she didn’t even know she wanted and needed: Noah.
After meeting him through an injured eagle, she becomes to question her previous choices and the way she’s been living.
But being just like the eagle she and Noah saved, all she needed was the right care, lots of healing and true love, so she could , spread her wings and soar. And just like eagles, have a mate for life.
It was such a sweet story, with amazing and strong characters fighting for their dreams and nurturing their loved ones, in the best Kristen Proby fashion.
Soaring with Fallon was a magnificent read. It is part of the Kristen Proby Crossover Collection (which I am very excited for). I have enjoyed reading all of the Big Sky books and was intrigued to read about Fallon and Noah. These two have made appearances throughout the series but now they were front and center. Fallon and Noah were great characters. It was enjoyable reading about their relationship and how it progresses. They had wonderful interactions and chemistry. And they were pretty special on their own as well. Everything about them was great. I was fully invested in the book. Kristen is really extraordinary with connecting the people in a small-town. I loved seeing the couples I’ve read and enjoyed making appearances. I adore the family atmosphere she presents in her stories. Overall, this was a spectacular story by an awesome author.
I loved this book, Kristen Proby did not disappoint and now I can go and read all the books from this crossover series. Even though they are all stand alone I want to read all of them. Fallon is fun and light she is just extremely easy to like when reading this story. Noah is great and I love that he is so understanding and always there for Fallon. These two are so alike and different it is great to see their relationship grow. The eagle in the story is so great also. I highly recommend this book for anyone to read.
Living life as it comes isn’t for everyone. For Fallon – the corporate world was suffocating and confining. Determined to not let a job define her, Fallon walks out on the job security and heads to Montana to find happiness. With a new job as a yoga teacher, Fallon is determined to make the most of life and all it has to offer.
While enjoying a hike, Fallon comes upon an injured eagle and isn’t exactly sure where to turn. That is when Noah walks into the picture. As the owner of a bird sanctuary, Noah has met his fair share of people, but none have left the impression quite like Fallon has done. As the two begin to spend more time together, the realization that there is an undeniable attraction present becomes harder to ignore. Neither is looking for anything permanent, so where will they turn when the attraction leads to more?
Get ready for another visit to Big Sky country!! Soaring with Fallon is the latest release is the Big Sky series by Kristen Proby. Noah King is not your typical hero. With ambitions related to his business, Noah has little time to give more than a fleeting glimpse to anyone that wants more than a quick fling. When Fallon came bursting through the haze, Noah knew that his life was headed towards a future that he never saw coming.
Proby has written a novel that you can devour from beginning to end. Fallon and Noah will lead you through their story, and give you hope in finding that happiness that everyone longs for in life. Get ready for a steamy romance that is unexpected and full of humorous moments. It’s a story that will leave you with a smile on your face when you close the last chapter. A great addition to the Big Sky series!!
Fallon was happy moving from place to place she has never has a reason to stay in one place well that was until she arrived in Cunningham Falls and she started making friends. Noah runs the local animal sanctuary and when Fallon comes across an injured eagle it’s Noah who turns up to take care of the bird. Two people not looking for anything become friends and friendship soon turns into so much more, have Fallon and Noah found a match made in heaven could the two people not looking for a relationship found one with each other guess you need to read the book to find out…..
Soaring with Fallon is a beautifully written love story with wonderful characters who you can’t help falling in love with. I loved the honesty in this book, the friendships and the love the residents of Cunningham Falls have for each other. Can’t wait for more in the Big Sky Series
This was such a sweet and fun love story. After Fallon lost her grandmother, the only real family she had left, she uproots her entire life to travel the states living in different places on her bucket list and moving on every 6 to 12 months. Until she comes to Cunningham Falls to open a yoga studio and can’t seem to leave. Noah has lived his entire life in Cunningham Falls and runs a Wild Bird Sanctuary from his childhood home. neither is really looming for love, but after Fallon finds and injured Bald Eagle on her hike and calls Noah’s sanctuary for help, they both feel the chemistry between them.
What I love about the majority of Kristen Proby’s books is that there isn’t some apocalyptic instance in every book that causes a huge climax and then chain reaction for the main characters to realize they are in love after fighting it the whole time. No KP’s books are real life love, yes the chemistry is strong and instant but the slow burn, with everyday problems and obstacles it what pulls you into the story all the more, leaving you rooting for the characters and believing in their HEA.
Sometimes we think our lives are going to go one way and then something or someone causes us to change paths. Fallon never really stayed in one place too long after her grandmother died never really finding her home. Noah never gave much thought to falling in love. He had his business and his family. He didn’t think he needed anything else. It took an injured eagle for these two people to realize their lives were meant to be together.
Kristen Proby does such an amazing job with Noah and Fallon’s story. Their chemistry is perfect. You can feel how much these two characters belong together. What was so real is that they were honest with each other. They held nothing back. If something bothered the other they called them out on it. It was dealt with and not ignored and allowed to fester. Noah and Fallon are a perfect match for each other. Sometimes you don’t know what is missing until you find it.
“ , ? , , ’ . .”
by Kristen Proby was absolute PERFECTION! Noah and Fallon’s chemistry and connection was beautiful and breathtaking. This is Kristen Proby at her finest and I devoured her words like they were the last ones I would ever read in this lifetime. She brings magic to every single page and every single character. I was in love when I saw the cover and read the synopsis, but after consuming this sweet, steamy, and whimsical romance, I have no other words but to tell you that you MUST grab this gem as soon as you can. It will make you smile. It will make you laugh. It will make you believe in happily ever afters. This is a story that I will be reading over and over again.
