This is book one is the So Far, So Good series. What better way to learn how to be sexy and social then is from the hot, jock/playboy. Meet Elizabeth Wilde, she is a gamer but wants to find love and connections with real people. Meet Austin, the hot jock that is willing to help Elizabeth out but our guy Austin is not the picture perfect guy that he shows the world. It is a deal that for four weeks and five thousand dollars, both Elizabeth and Austin will get what they want out of this arrangement. This is a very well written, smooth flowing story that is absolutely hilarious at times as it is steaming off its own pages. I cannot wait to read more in this series. Enjoy!

I wasn’t sure what to expect going in to reading this book, but I ended up really enjoying the relationship and dynamic that developed between Elizabeth and Austin. This story resonated with me on so many different levels, and I would really like to see how their relationship flourished after college before the epilogue.

HOLY COW THAT WAS GOOD. This was so much better than I could’ve hoped for. I really, really loved it. When I read something by a new author, I never know what to anticipate so I kept my expectations low and went in blind. This did NOT disappoint. It’s not your typical hot jock/shy nerd sex tutor romance. While it’s unashamed of its level of heat, it also has a slow emotional burn that focuses on so much more than just the physical between these two. The level of depth the author managed to put into this relationship blew me away, and I was rooting for Austin and Elizabeth to find happiness together.
The story follows Elizabeth, a smart, introverted college student from a wealthy family. Her confidence has been blown to pieces from years of being told she’s not normal, so she finds relationships difficult and physical intimacy impossible. Deciding to take matters into her own hands, she researches which guy on campus would be the best option to help tutor her on all things sex-related. Knowing that he’s strapped for cash, doesn’t get emotionally attached to the girls he sleeps with, and selfless in bed, Elizabeth makes Austin an offer that will change both their lives.
The writing is really great, but it’s the emotion that drew me in. Though they present themselves to the world extremely differently, Austin and Elizabeth have a lot of the same underlying insecurities. They connect on a level neither one expected, and nothing about their relationship feels like a transaction. It’s nuanced and complicated – so well done by the author. If you like New Adult romance – or any romance really – READ THIS BOOK. This one’s going to stay in my mind for a long time to come.

Awkward and sweet, adorkable Elizabeth approaches Austin to be her tutor. Oh, the star athlete isn’t helping her academically but physically. Too caught up in her head and over analyzing everything, Elizabeth wants to be normal. She wants to be able to date and have sex without being awkward and strange. After researching online reviews of local guys and how they rate in bed, she selects Austin and approaches him. Austin thinks its a prank but discovers Elizabeth is serious. Thinking he could do worse to make some cash, he dives in. Neither of them expect what they find; that underneath it all they are kindred spirits. Elizabeth and Austin’s relationship put me through the wringer. All the awkwardness and shyness, all the passion and chemistry just sucked me in. I fell in love with the characters and Amelia Kingston’s writing. Can’t wait for more!
This book is amazing and I couldn’t put it down!! The storyline kept things moving and I loved seeing the characters develop as we went along. I truly felt like I was on journey with them. Definitely a must read!!!!

Ok. Seriously. How could you not fall in love with Elizabeth and Austin?! Two seemingly opposite characters that first come together through a “business transaction”. But they’ve both have something that the other can relate to: not being loved. Whether it be that they feel incapable of being loved and reciprocating it or whether they were never shown it growing up, these two have made it through life by adapting to what they’ve been shown. Elizabeth ignores any rude or degrading comments her family says about her, and Austin doesn’t allow anyone close enough to be loved and pushes them away. Together through this weird relationship, Elizabeth and Austin learn that love is possible for them regardless of what they thought. They love each other for who they really are, weirdness and all.
This book was such a pleasure to read. It was well written, the characters were very relatable and likeable, and the book had so much emotion involved in it. I highly recommend it.

I loved this! It grabbed me from the first page, kept me til the last and enthralled me in between. Well worth your time to read it.
Austin & Elizabeth both have issues. They learn a few about each other but not all of them come out. Both struggle with love because neither have had it. Both mask it in different ways. When push comes to shove, they are more alike than you would ever guess. Very heartfelt read. Money can’t buy love of happiness. It’s what you do without anyone knowing is what matters most

What a sweet love story. There are so definite laugh out loud moments as the heroine is painfully awkward at times. I think we all feel that way to some degree. If your on the fence about. This book just buy it. You won’t be disappointed.

I absolutely loved this book. It had humor, quirky characters, steamy love scenes, 80’s movie love, and a unique love story. I loved the characters of Elizabeth and Austin. Their chemistry was cracking right off the pages. Elizabeth was that quirky, awkward girl who wanted to lose her dreaded virginity and Austin is a popular, handsome football player who exudes confidence. You would think that a love story that involves paying someone to have sex with you would be distasteful but the story became charming. There was a bit of angst because both had things that they had to deal with but all in all it was an enjoyable read.
I almost don’t like reading books like this. Books that worm their way into your life, books that absorb you wholly. I find myself thinking about them during the day, and miss out on sleep because I just can’t put them down.
So, That Got Weird is beautifully written. The characters are three dimensional and their chemistry is palpable. The story was engrossing, though perhaps not suitable for those that may get offended by swearing and graphic descriptions of intimacy. I, on the other hand, inhaled the book and am thoroughly looking forward to Elizabeth and Austen’s next adventure. Thank you for a great read.

This is the first book I have read from this author ad I cannot wait to try more. It had a good interesting storyline that quickly pulled me in and kept me reading right until the very end. I liked both Elizabeth and Austin and the more I got to know them the more perfect they were for each other this was a super read.
Compelling, engaging and not a light read. The characters have depth and their jagged edges are a perfect match in this somewhat YA story.

Painfully awkward. That’s how I would describe the characters’ dilemma. It was a deliciously painful romance I really enjoyed the book and characters.

This book caught my eye from the word go. I was intrigued by the premise of the book and could not wait to get my hands on an ARC. Nerdy gamer girl Elizabeth needs help, big time. She’s socially awkward and has to up her game with men. What better way to do that than to proposition the hot jock Austin. The deal – 30 days to teach her all she needs to know about the opposite sex. Could it get any better? But of course it can because as these two start their working relationship things heat up and they fall hard and fast for each other. Their road to happily ever after is not a bump free one, they must get over the personal baggage holding them back and once they do it makes their forever so much sweeter.

Nerdy gamer Elizabeth is looking for some experience with men and offers a “business “proposal” to jock Austin to spend one month tutoring her on how to act with men and ultimately have sex. I have read this trope before and it’s always fun to watch the transformation from teaching to love. Elizabeth and Austin’s story added a little more angst than usual since they both have some pretty serious issues from growing up that make them both question that love is real. The chemistry is immediate and it catches them both off guard, yet they don’t let that stop them. Of course there is conflict as their past fears and insecurities rear their ugly grads, but even so I enjoyed the way they just took it head on as if they both knew in their heats they were destined to be together. Fantastic read and loved the epilogue!!

Seriously, I loved this. I had reservations at first, but figured I’d give it a try and I’m so glad I did. It wasn’t the most original concept – shy, awkward girl pays sexy, popular jock to teacher her how to have sex – but Amelia Kingston put her own fabulous spin on the concept. I laughed (a lot), cried (a little) and smiled throughout a lot of the book. Seriously, if you’re having any reservations, read it. It’s such a sweet story.

The characters are good, a bit quirky but raw from the hurt they had to deal with. I like their dynamic.
