‘One big romantic mug of hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and a splash of Christmas perfection!’ LUCY KNOTT, author of Wishes Under a Starlit Sky
All she wants for Christmas… Scotland!
At first she’s horrified, but perhaps it’s the perfect way to forget all about her cheating ex.
And when she meets grumpy (but ridiculously gorgeous) pumpkin farmer Noel underneath the mistletoe, Leah begins to believe that at Christmas time, anything can happen…

I’ve not read anything by this author before but she’s definitely on my go to list of favourites now after reading this book!
This reminded me of Carrie Elks style of writing, funny, endearing characters and some of the depictions make you laugh out loud. How Leah ended up with the Farm in the first place was hilarious in a way that you could imagine how it happened, everyone’s had too much to drink and done crazy things.
The chemistry between Leah and Noel was palpable and the slow burn romance leaves you breathless with a will they won’t they.
Who wouldn’t want a little Gizmo in their life. I wanted to scratch his ears too! The references to gremlins were funny too.
The verbal sparring and banter between the main characters together and the stall holders at the market were inspired and the descriptive text made you feel like you were there looking at what was being described . I wanted to see the pumpkin farm and the Christmas market!
This is the perfect book to snuggle up with and lose yourself in. It leaves a warm and snuggly feeling even after you’ve read the last page. I thoroughly recommend it!!!
I enjoyed this book and learning about tree farms, small Scottish villages and pumpkin farming.
This is a fabulous Christmas book that is packed full of incredible characters that you want to get to know. I loved this book and if I could I would definitely go to Elffield market, Leah’s Christmas tree farm and Noel’s pumpkin farm. I cannot recommend this uplifting heartfelt story highly enough .. it was truly delightful.
One night, after catching her cheating boyfriend and indulging in a few too many drinks, Leah bids on a Christmas tree farm…and wins. When she wakes the next morning it’s all chaos.
Considering her boyfriend (now ex) was her boss and she exited on a rather fantastic scene..she decides the farm might be a way to start over … until she gets there and it’s nothing like she imagined.
Very cute and fun read. It took a bit for me to get into it and there is a certain tongue ring that gets way too much attention IMHO but a perfect feel-good Christmas read.
A clueless heroine, a helpful, hunky Scotsman, a run-down Christmas tree farm, and a struggling village market with matchmaking vendors. What’s not to love?
Loved this book. Loved the characters and how their relationship built not on romance but Leah’s need to run a Christmas tree farm and turn a profit in December. Both have secrets, but she spilled hers at the beginning and when she learns of his secret, she can’t believe he is the wonderful guy she thinks he is…if he’d do THAT. Still, one of the most romantic turns is the night they meet up unexpectedly in the barn and their conversation turns to gentle romance. He is described throughout the book as sexy and hot–and then he says quietly, “please kiss me” as if he cannot wait another second to be closer to Leah. Ahhh!
Warm, happy story that is perfect to curl up with a blanket and cocoa or wine. This will get you in the holiday spirit and leave you smiling.
Another delightful, escapist tale from the excellent Jaimie Admans. Wonderfully drawn, likeable characters and a guaranteed warm fuzzy feeling by the end. A hug in a book – it would make a great festive film! Lovely, magical Christmas must-read. Highly recommended.
I loved this book! What a great, feel-good Christmas-y story.
I loved everything about this book! It was the perfect holiday read with compelling characters, a wonderfully Christmasy setting, a well-developed and captivating romance, and so much heart. The story had some lovely messages about family, community, rising to life’s challenges, and rebounding from a loss. I chuckled (the tree puns are very clever!), got teary-eyed, and couldn’t turn the pages fast enough to see how everything worked out for Leah, her newly acquired Christmas tree farm, and Noel, the hot Scottish pumpkin farmer who’s always there when she needs him. Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm should be on everyone’s must read list this holiday season! I give it FIVE Peppermint Firs + a Chihuahua in an elf costume (shout-out to Gizmo in the book!).
We have all done regrettable things after a few drinks but in this story Leah takes it to the extremes when she bids and ends up buying a Christmas Tree Farm after a few to many glasses of Prosecco whilst trying to forget seeing her boyfriend with another woman……
The farm looks nothing like it’s pictures , it’s fallen into disrepair and Leah knows nothing about Christmas Trees apart from how to decorate them so this is going to be an uphill battle as she learns the ropes and how to grow Christmas trees in the Scottish countryside …..oh and did I mention the pumpkin farmer next door !! Things are about to get interesting….
This book really captured my imagination, it flowed and I loved the characters. I even think I learnt a bit about growing Christmas Trees which I’m sure may come in handy one day but all joking aside this is a fun entertaining read with just the right magical mix of love and romance and it’s a perfect read to start the holiday season.
This was my first read from Jaimie Admans and oh my goodness…eeeek, is all I can say about that; while I load up my Kindle and bookshelf with the rest of her books!!!! Spoiler alert… I absolute-tree (I know, i’ll work on my tree puns) bloody loved it.
Where to start? Where to start? Oh gosh, I just adored it. From start to finish it was one big warm, cosy, festive, joyful, romantic mug of hot chocolate with extra whipped cream and a splash of Christmas perfection.
Firstly, I would now like to ask Santa for a Christmas tree farm. Secondly, a chihuahua would also be rather cute and lovely and lastly, Santa, please can I have a Noel? Thank you kindly.
I think it’s safe to say that whenever you go through a break up you end up with a long list of things you wish to do. I could certainly relate to Leah wanting to make a change and challenge herself. I loved that she had a fiestiness to her but that she also didn’t hold in her vulnerability; allowing herself to cry and feel hopeless at times. Sometimes you just need to embrace those feelings, let the tears fall, then stick your wellies on and breathe in the fresh air to make yourself feel better and face the day. It’s OK to be vulnerable and it’s OK to cry. I enjoyed that about this book, it was very comforting and heartwarming and made Leah all the more relatable.
I felt like I was off in a daydream every time I picked up this book, like I was vicariously living through Leah and rooting (better?) for her to make all her dreams come true. I was silently mumbling words of encouragement willing her to stick (now they just keep coming) out the rough days no matter how hard they were because I could visualize the dream and the magic of Peppermint Branches and truly believed in her so much that she could bring it back to life.
As for her and Noel: does me wistfully looking off into space with hearts in my eyes count as a review? I thoroughly enjoyed there banter and kind of liked that they gave each other as good as they got. At first Noel was a little abrupt and I didn’t like him being mean, but I really loved that Leah held her own and took charge at times. They could both be as stubborn as the other and I liked that about them both. I loved that Noel had such a big heart; how he helped others and how much of a hard worker he was. And seriously? Who doesn’t want to be woken with pumpkin spice lattes and pumpkin cake? Their interactions were fun, cheeky and totally had me swooning.
I’m now looking up pumpkin farms and Christmas tree farms that I can go to this festive season as Roscoe Farm and Peppermint Branches were utterly delightful.
I highly recommend picking up a copy of this fabulous Christmas read today. It’s magical!!
Good concept, too much detail and not enough romance!
This story of a city girl who tries her hand at farming and finds a seemingly endless supply of support from her handsome neighbor started out well. The basic plot is good, the main characters are well-developed with interesting backstories and there are some really great scenes, like the heroine’s first arrival at her new property and the storm at the book’s climax.
But it’s got way too much detail and lost my interest multiple times. In this case, yes, the devil is in the details because they just made me want to put the book down without finishing. I did make my way to the end, finally, with the aid of strategic skimming. I would have liked it much more in a more stream-lined version that focused on the romance and budding friendships.
Thanks to HQ Digital and NetGalley for providing a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm by Jaimie Admans a charming five-star read. What a lovely and sweet read, it was sweet but also a little sparky and that just kept the story going and gave it a great depth. Leah as a character, just kept me hooked, she made me chuckle and I could imagine her as a good friend, one you could laugh over drinks with when you do stupid stuff (cough, cough). This is a great story and its also a great Christmas story, don’t miss this fabulous read.
I was so egg-cited to start my third Christmas-themed romance read of the year! Tell me I’m not the only one who is excited for the holly-days. What can I say? I’m a sentimental sap who is pining for all things festive. *snorts*
Sorry! I’ll stop with the puns now. Just my little homage to Noel.
*giggles*
*clears throat*
Depending on your POV, some of your best or worst decisions can be made under the influence of a glass or two of Prosecco.
Whaaa? Don’t look at me like that. We’re talking about Leah here, not me. My lips are sealed. *blushes*
Now, where was I? *taps chin*
Ah, yes.
Now, I’m sure we’ve all had a ‘waking up after the night before’ moment, but I don’t think many of us awaken to find out we’d purchased a Christmas Tree farm, and all responsibilities that entails.
A new beginning is exactly what Leah Griffiths needs. The last couple of years have been tough to say the least and if anyone needs to find their happy, it’s Leah.
Set in the picturesque Scottish countryside (I’m biased, I know), SATLCTF is ridiculously romantic, festive and full of Christmas spirit. My tender-hearted, over-productive tear ducts can attest to this fact.
I only have one quibble with the story, I have lived in Scotland for 41 years (shut it!), and I have yet to meet such a fine specimen as Noel. Honestly, he is hazardous to your ovaries. *smirks* Add little Gizmo into the mix and it’s cuteness overload. Ovaries exploding in 3, 2, 1…
I honestly wondered if Jaimie could top It’s A Wonderful Night, as that story holds such a special place in my heart.
What can I say? SATLCTF shines all on its own!
Jaimie Admans has done it again! I don’t know how each of her books is more amazing than the last, but they are. Snowflakes at the Little Christmas Tree Farm was charming, funny, and romantic – a total delight.
I loved Leah and Noel and found them both really relatable. I completely understand Leah’s desire to take a huge leap and change things up. I thought she was equal parts brave and crazy (in the best way possible!) for moving her entire life from London to Scotland to follow a dream that involved something she actually knew nothing about – Christmas tree farming. I have to admit grumpy heroes aren’t typically my thing, but I sensed right from the beginning there were deep layers beneath Noel’s initial attitude toward Leah. He proved himself again and again, and he ended up being the sweetest, most sensitive, squishiest cinnamon roll of a man underneath that grumpiness, and I absolutely adored him. I always love Jaimie’s men, but Noel might just be my new favourite!
Dear Hallmark, please get on making a movie of this wonderful book. It has all the ingredients of a holiday classic – strong main characters, hilarious and quirky side characters, a beautiful setting, a swoony romance, and even an adorable dog with lots of personality. I’d love to see these characters brought to life on the screen. Until then, they’ll live on in a special place in my heart, along with all the characters from Jaimie’s previous books.
