“When the auroras sparkle green and pink, the monster will return…”Agent Luke Snow knows all too well what it’s like to lose a mate. His last case ended the search and siege—aka death—of his mate’s killer. The hole in his soul remains. When his DSD team lead, Owen, sends Snow on a vacation, he escapes to his remote Alaskan home. After being gone so long, his cabin isn’t as relaxing as it should … relaxing as it should be. Nightmares and a monstrous ice dragon haunt his nights while a dark-haired human beauty torments his days.
Mackenzie Wilde didn’t think twice when her father asked her to move back to Fairbanks and take over his clinic. Life in the big city isn’t as fulfilling as helping those truly in need. Plus, moving to Alaska will bring her closer to her father and her mother’s people, the Inuit.
When the devilishly handsome Luke Snow shows up at the clinic with a wounded teen, she’s intensely drawn to him. His alpha male personality is exactly what she doesn’t want in a man. But Snow may be the only one to turn to when the nightmares become reality.

Hooked! I loved the first book but to me the second was even better. Why is it that mates keep showing up when the team is on an op. Well in this case Luke is not prepared for a second in his long life. Especially not after what happened to his last mate. But, his dragon has other thoughts. Mac is a doctor in remote Alaska, and her mother was killed by a dragon. See where this can get sticky? Oh and now the same dragon is after the women and children… again.
There is action, heartache, heat, and yeah even a few funny parts. I was glued to this book once I started it and stayed up way too late just to finish it.
I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
Very descriptive and immersive. I like the fact that it was told by a loving family member as a bedtime story as that is how it felt for me.
After reading book one, I was excited to read book two. I loved the description and couldn’t wait to dive in.
Sadly, I just couldn’t get into this book. It seemed to drag and took me forever to finish. I liked the characters and the idea of the series so I’m sure I’ll give the next book a chance.
If you love dragons then this book is right up your Alley. I haven’t personally read that many books where they were Inuit, so this book was a fun read for me because it was something different. The story line was great and keeps you glued to the pages.
It sometimes can be difficult to rate books that are co-written. I dont often have difficulty but there are times I am. There is usually one author that comes through more than the other. 2 different minds and talents. Different authors have strengths and weaknesses. Could be great at one thing but not so good at others. So, when they co-write something…it feels weird. I think the writing is ok and I liked the story but it really wasnt all that exciting to me. It just seemed too easy sometimes…the conflict of the evil ice dragon. Dont get me wrong I love dragons and love reading about them. This book there just isnt anything that stands out for me. The one love scene was mediocre at best. Kinda boring and unspectacular. I think I enjoyed the book but I wanted more oomph in the sexy times department and the adventure part….I just wanted more out of it. My expectations were high because of who the authors are and I love their work. It just didnt deliver for me. I havent read the first book. Dont get me wrong I didnt hate it but I didnt love it either. I’d be willing to read more of the series.
Luke is an Ice Dragon who has to live with the pain of losing his mate. As a member of the Dark Scales Division , Luke and the team hunt down the dragon that killed her. Grieving Luke goes to his remote Alaskan cabin to try to heal. But as he tries to heal ,he is haunted by memories and nightmares of the day he lost her.
Dr. Mac moved back home to be near those she loves and wants to help with her clinic . But neither of them expected to meet the one person who is meant to be of their life. (Even if they fight the feelings that they have)
But an ancient prophecy says the with the auroras come so does a monster who lives for fear and death of those he hates. It’s up to Luke to fight for the lives of those he cares for, especially Mac’s. I enjoyed reading Snowed Undercover, it was never boring and kept me reading until I finished it.
Imagine finding your mate and learning her mom was killed by an ice dragon. Luke and Dr. Mac have alot to overcome least of all that Luke is a shifter. This is a sweet story about Luke gets a second chance at love with a woman who was not looking for love. The story is intense as these two try to find the evil ice dragon who is kidnapping and killing woman and children in Alaska. I loved the whole dynamic of this book, the myths and legends of the Inuit people that were interwoven throughout. The characters interacted beautifully and you wanted Luke and his crew to win and defeat the evil dragon.
Loved Mac and Snows story! Snow is on a mandatory vacation trying to get over the death of his mate. So he’s avoiding everyone as much as possible. Mac is back to take over her father’s clinic and fill in his shoes. When they run into each other accidentally sparks fly. Even if snow doesn’t want them to! All the while a crazy ice dragon is on the loose killing people and Snow and his team have to stop it. This is my first read from these authors and I can’t wait to read more!
Luke Snow works for the DSD. They are responsible for going after rogue dragons. Luke meets Mac when he saves an injured teen and takes her to the clinic. She’s his mate. Hopefully, he can protect her from the beast that killed his previous mate.
Luke and Mac’s story is intense. Lots of fear and anxiousnself. Outting one’s self is always trying. I loved this book.
A magical PNR full of action, suspense, romance and second chances. I really enjoyed this story. It held my interest the whole way through. The characters were real and reliable. I enjoyed their chemistry and journey together. Plus there’s dragons!
I love dragons, so falling for these shifters wasn’t a leap at all. We met the entire crew in Dragon Undercover, and in this one we get to know Luke.
Luke needs some time alone now that the dragon who killed his mate is dead. He has to get himself together or he is useless to the team. Planning on avoiding the village he settles into his Alaskan cabin. While out chopping wood he hears a child in pain, following the sound he finds his friend Yuku’s daughter Angel with an injured ankle. He carries her to the village. Thankful for his daughter’s safe return, Yuku invites him for dinner.
The doctor who comes to check out Angel isn’t who he expected. Apparently Dr. Matt has a daughter he enlisted to take over his practice. Mac was instantly attracted to Luke, which was really out of character for her.
When Luke not only realizes Mac could be his mate, he also senses the presence of another ice dragon, a malicious one.
The ice dragon he sensed is a threat to the village he’s sworn to protect. When children are taken by this evil dragon he calls in his team.
He’s going to have to tell Mac what he is, but there’s a big problem with that related to the monster terrorizing the village.
An action packed, hold your breath, tear-jerker with an HEA.
I look forward to the next book in this series.
The agents of the Dark Scales Division head to Alaska in this Snowbound adventure that features ice dragon Luke who is recovering from the murder of his mate. He meets Dr. Mac as the aurora peeks and a murdering dragon begins to rampage. It will take all the DSD to take down this rogue. Can Luke protect his newfound mate while smoking out the insane killer dragon?
This second installment is fast paced and set in the beautiful Alaskan wilderness. The agents of the DSD are a great group and I look forward to reading Courtney ‘s story in the next book. If you love dragons, romance and adventure, read Snowed Undercover
Very enjoyable story! Luke and Mac made a great couple and really complemented each other. Love these Scales Division stories and can’t wafit to read the next one! Recommended!
(KU read)
I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest
When you boss make your vacation mandatory, Luke has not other option.
Alaska here he comes.
Mackenzie came back to reconnect with her father.
Luke thought that he had already found + lost his mate.
However, here is Mackenzie in the flesh.
Is Mac really his mate?
This is was a sweet story.
I loved the storytelling + the characters
It has all the ingredients that you need for a great book!
Since a dragon is so hard to resist this one is no exception. This also was one I was waiting for. Luke intrigues you after the tidbits in the intro. Ice dragons and especially the way this one is depicted you could drown in his eyes. He grabs you heart from the get go with the rescue but then denial will come to play. Stubborn is the name too but when he meets his match in Mac you are settling back to see how this plays out. This division is also one that captivates but it is only a part. Secrets weaved will come to surface and the reading will get even more exciting. I am glad to have waited for this one it was worth it for sure.
Overall rating: 4.5
I thoroughly enjoy when a PNR is written and it also allows snapshots of different ways of life. In this case, life as an Intuit. No, I don’t go and fact check to see if things are being presented realistically. I am reading a work of fiction and choose to stay there! In any case, this book is a wonderful addition to this series! Each book is a stand-alone, but I wholeheartedly believe if you read one, you will want to read the rest! Beautifully written with amazing characters, each storyline has its own unique challenges while keeping with the initial theme set. A definite PNR treasure! All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
