Olivia Wickham could never forget the cowboy she met on a cruise five years ago. The two spent a magical few days together before she was called home for an emergency, without giving him her number. She would have gotten over Tate McConnell—it was just a few nights of paradise, after all—if it wasn’t for two little things: her twin daughters, who were born as a result of those wonderful days. … Though she searched for her lost romance in vain, she never forgot his mesmerizing eyes, and the way his smile made her melt inside.
On a trip to the wilderness just before Christmas, things take a scary turn when one of her daughters is injured on a snowshoeing tour and the little family is unknowingly left behind by the guide. When Tate shows up to save them, she instantly knows who he is—the father of her children, and possibly the love of her life.
Surprised is a mild term for what Tate feels when he realizes the woman he’s been sent to rescue is Olivia. He’d searched for her over the years, her smile and laugh invading his thoughts on lonely nights. When he learns the two little girls with Olivia are his, surprise makes way for shock. Now, with a major snowstorm coming their way, Tate has to quickly get them to safety inside a cozy little cabin in the woods. Maybe too cozy, since Tate is adjusting to being a father and trying to fight his fierce attraction to Olivia. But since they’re snowbound, there’s nothing to be done but to let his feelings thaw a bit. Or a lot, since they can’t seem to keep their hands off each other every chance they have to be alone. When reality intrudes, though, real panic sets in for Tate. He’s been alone too long to suddenly be a big family man, even if it is Christmas time.
But when Tate finds himself alone on Christmas Day, he realizes being alone is, well, lonely. He can only hope he’s not too late to create his own Christmas magic.
Mary Sue Jackson and USA Today Bestseller Leslie North invite you to indulge in a heart-warming small-town western romance with a smoking hot cowboy and the woman who tames him…

Tate from Montana and Olivia from Washington, met on a cruise ship on vacation. Four days and four nights of interacting having steamy nights and all of a sudden Olivia disappears. Well that really disappears but she’s no longer on the boat and she left. Not knowing each other‘s last names probably wasn’t a good idea especially since the strong feelings that were expressed between them were very intense. Fast forward five years later and Olivia is in Montana off a toured trail snowshoe trail. Tate part of the search and rescue find her with two identical companions the age of four. This was a very intense from the first cut of tea and hot cocoa. For once it was not the woman who was hesitant about the relationship but the man. Feelings and transgressions and all this other mess understood communication affected Tate and Olivia. Now it was about how was it HEA going to occur when the characters are out of sync?

Talk about fate… Love has a way of finding a way to make itself irresistible to anyone. Even solitary cowboys who think they’re no good for anyone. When Tate and Olivia finally get together I cried. I’m so happy that they got their HEA I don’t even care that they’re not real.

A heartfelt western romance that did not disappoint. There is nothing not to like in this newest release, it was written well, had a great flow and the storyline was enjoyable from start to finish. The chemistry between Tate and Olivia was hot and their journey was relatable. The up and downs of their relationship was enduring to follow and will have you cheering for their HEA. A fantastic read from start to finish.
This is a wonderful second chance/secret baby romance, I found this to a well-written sweet and steamy story. I really liked the characters and their development throughout the story. I loved the twins, totally adorable and each is their little person. Loved Tate and Olivia’s HEA.

Tate from Montana, Olivia from Washington.
They met on a cruise ship. No last names. Now, five years later, on an emergency call, Tate sees Olivia again. With her twin girls. His twin girls.
But can the loner make room for a family?
Or will he run?
I hate when the girl is always left to raise their kids on her own.
And Tate continued to hookup while they were apart. Zero diaper changes for him. Not fair.

Olivia and Tate met each other while on a cruise and spent a memorable few days together. Neither exchanged phoned numbers or even asked for last names. So when Olivia disappeared from the ship with no word or note whatsoever, she left a very confused Tate behind feeling hurt and betrayed and no longer interested in any kind of relationship. Having no contact information, they were unable to reach out to each other and only had their memories of what might have been.
Olivia had to leave the ship because of a family emergency – the sudden death of her parents. In her panic and haste, she never thought to leave a note. Weeks later, she discovered she was pregnant with twins and had no way to contact Tate to tell him.
Five years later, Olivia and her twin daughters are living in Montana, which happens to be Tate’s home town. On an outing, one of her daughters gets injured and Olivia and her children need help from Search and Rescue. Against all odds, Tate was sent to rescue them and takes them to his nearby cabin, which is the closest available shelter. Although they had both searched for each other in vain five years ago, they now had to deal with a new set of expectations. Tate learned that she had not deserted him but had left to deal with the unexpected death of her parents. He learned also that he was a father of 4-year-old twin girls! Marriage and parenthood had not crossed his mind, and it was a bit too much for him to process. He wasn’t sure he was ready for this! The adjustment would not be an easy one. What do each of them now want for their future? Are their feelings strong enough to pull them together into a family? Or are they disappointed at the way things have turned out and ready to walk away?
This was a well thought out story that gave the reader much to think about. Indecision and doubts make things uncomfortable with all the new variables added in. Is Tate strong enough to open up and try to accommodate his new family status? Or is he too overwhelmed? Can Olivia help him understand how she feels about him and can they become the family they were meant to be? Grab your copy and see how the author handles this potentially awkward and difficult path to acceptance and love.
Tate and Olivia meant on a cruise. Spent the week in each others arms and bed. Tate is part of a search and rescue team in town. He goes out and they are both surprised to see the other. She’s dreamed of him coming to her rescue and now that he had, she wanted the happily ever after. He’s lost his mom, then Olivia when she left him on the boat and he’s been fine all by himself. He goes back to his solitary life on his ranch, guarding his heart so it doesn’t get broken again when someone leaves him. She had a tragic family emergency. She has also left the cruise with a souvenir. They didn’t exchange information so she is unable to get in touch with him to share the news. Five years later, they meet again. It was heartbreaking to see him go through so many iterations to make sense of seeing her again and becoming an instant dad to his own family. He has withdrawn within himself and can’t process this monumental change to his life. Follow the trials and tribulations to see if they can make it work out.

It was good book with interesting storyline.
Hot nights on the cruise ended suddenly when she got emergency call. But it wasn’t only shock in her life, next one was few weeks later.
They know only first name of each other and area they live.
Five years later he rescued her and four years twins girls during snow storm. Shock for both of them.
Feelings are still there but whole situation is too overwhelming for him. He is the type who buried the head in the sand when overwhelmed.
How this will play for them?
He will almost loose them again and this will shake him to the core.
The book has so many twist and turns, I did laugh and get upset. This man will drive you crazy…

In the snow storm he didn’t realize that her twins where his children. Ring alone a long time made it a little cramped but he was so glad to see her.

Finally the ATV stopped and the girls started screaming and Tate and lobster found the three. When Olivia looked up she saw the face she saw everyday for the last five years. Tate of course was upset to stay the least when he found out the girls were his. Tate was definitely not the father type and here her was. Things start to fall into place but they still have not told the girls. Tate was growing found of them and it made his heart warm. Tate spotted Olivia talking to another man and exchanging phone numbers and he went ballistic. Olivia moves into her rental even though the landlord did not fix the wiring. They get a call that Olivia’s house was on fire. Will Tate get there in time to save all his family?
This is a well written second chance romance with strong , well developed characters in Tate and Olivia. The author does a great job developing their story and bringing it to life with detailed scenes and tons of emotion. She brings drama, anxiety and tons of love and support and centers it all around the Christmas season. It’s a touching story with the supporting characters , including their adorable twin daughters helping to bring the story around. I enjoyed and would recommend this book.

I love when you think fate has plans and then boom, she throws you a curve ball. Olivia and Tate might have not seen each other for five years, but their attraction and connection couldn’t be denied, even after finding each other again. Tate had a harder time coming to terms with being a father, but man, did he frustrate me. That’s how I know a story is good; is when you feel the characters and get frustrated with their decisions, or indecisions. This was fun, and sweet and just the right amount of sexy.

A second chance story, Olivia Wickham meet cowboy Tate McConnell meet on a cruise five years ago but because they did not exchange phone numbers they had no way of contacting the other person. Now they are meeting because Olivia and her daughters Jackie and Melissa got left behind on a snowshoeing tour. Tate is the one to come to their rescue and that is how he finds out he is a Father. I enjoyed reading this story. I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
This is excellent!! The pace starts slow but picks up and then remains consistently steady. Tate has some lingering grief issues that he has decided to become a set-in-his-ways recluse, forever. She is just a breath of fresh air and the twins are a fireball of energy, chaos. The author does a great job delving down into the heart of these characters, engaging a spectrum of emotion and contemplation. Tate is such a realistic character, Olivia is so strong, smart and really mature about their predicament, I was so proud of her. Opposites attract but what’s next for this “ready-made” family, their growing pains are a very emotional journey of discovery, self-worth and choices. This is a tear-jerker but very well written, I couldn’t put it down, you won’t be disappointed! Books like this is why I fell in love with the romance genre.
