Welcome back to Matrimony Valley where florist Kelly Nelson is in charge of coordinating the town’s most unique wedding yet. She has a plan…and a plan b,c, and d.
Bruce is still numb after the death of his wife two years ago. But his daughter keeps him going, and in an attempt to spend quality time with her, they arrive in Matrimony Valley a week prior to the wedding in which Bruce is best man and Carly is the flower girl.
Kelly and Bruce rub some raw wounds in each other at first. Kelly is forthright, speaking truth when Bruce is sometimes not ready to hear it. AndBruce is so far buried in his grief, he often doesn’t focus enough on the here and now.
And of the cuteness of each of their daughters!! When put together, it’s double the adorable (and double the trouble).
Allie Pleiter shines a spotlight on the difficulties, challenges, and sorrow that come with losing a spouse too soon while offering glimpses of hope and promise of coming out on the other side of grief.
As the residents of the valley pull together to save a wedding that has every challenge thrown at it, including a winter storm and a persnickety wedding feature writer, two little matchmakers set their sights on making their parents happy. With all of that help, Bruce and Kelly just might discover that God is indeed the God of second chances.

Snowbound with the Best Man is another winner from Allie Pleiter! It’s the second book in the Matrimony Valley series, but stands alone great. It’s a story full of heart and second chances featuring two little girls set on matchmaking their parents.
Kelly and Bruce have both suffered devastating losses and are doing their very best coping with their grief. But it’s hard, so hard. Bruce is numb to everything, feeling like a zombie moving through life. He’s isolated himself from God and his church while Kelly’s done the opposite and has surrounded herself with God, friends, and her church. They have so much in common, but are complete opposites in many ways too. They’re great characters who I loved getting to know and watch grow throughout the story. And their little girls were so adorable.
I enjoyed being back in the charming town of Matrimony Valley. It’s such an inviting town full of friendly residents and cute “matrimony” themed businesses. It’s the perfect small town setting.
I highly recommend Snowbound with the Best Man to anyone who enjoys sweet, inspirational romances. I can’t wait for the next book!
I received a complimentary copy of this book and voluntarily reviewed it. All thoughts and comments are my honest opinion.
Snowbound with the best man
I really enjoyed the story of Bruce and and Kelly and their young daughters. Carly and LuLu really hit it off and wants to be sisters. They become matchmakers. Kelly is trying to put a wedding together and the best man comes early. The snow comes so will the wedding happen? I am loving the Matrimony Valley series, I could really see both of the books in the series would make good Hallmark movies. The children in both books really brings so much to the story. I am looking forward to reading the more in this series. The characters are so real.
This story is about Kelly, her daughter Lulu, Bruce and his daughter Carly. It is a wedding town, that is what the town folk are promoting it as. Bruce the best man and Carly the flower girl are in town a few days early to enjoy some time together and Kelly the town florist is helping to organize the wedding with the “help” of her daughter Lulu, the two girls take an instant liking to each other and want their parents to “like” each other as well. Two match making girls, a wedding, and an ice storm show Kelly and Bruce what is really important! Remember you only need ‘A bride, a groom, love and God’ for a relationship to work! I enjoyed reading this advance copy of the book, it will be so worth the wait!
