Love every book so far.
Another fun read! Loved this series and looking forward to the spinoff!
Really enjoyable. Wonderful characters that have a great camaraderie. Lots of witty banter. Some steam and a little angst thrown in.
The next installment of the Ponderosa Resort series is a short novella for Gretchen Laslo and Gable Judson. Both needed an escape from messy situations when they find themselves unexpectedly stranded at a snowy cabin. The attraction was immediate (being a novella) but didn’t seem rushed. I really enjoyed the storyline and could see how easily it could be extended into a full length novel.
Loved the characters and plot. Great read. Thanks.

My Review:
I adore Tawna Fenske’s irreverent and clever wit and deft comedic style with the same level of fanatical fervor as I do her vibrant, quirky, and highly endearing characters. Her agile storylines are easy to fall into and keep me smirking and fully engaged from beginning to end while also observantly and thoughtfully tapping on relevant real-world issues and concerns. I have reveled in each of the smartly plotted and keenly crafted installments in this series and am already eagerly anticipating the arrival of the next one. I do believe I am irrevocably and zealously addicted.
Another sexy sweet read in the series!
Gretchen and Gable were fire in an icy world! A brief meeting lit the spark and when they were snowbound together, the attraction just grew and grew. This series is full of great characters with intriguing drama and this time out was no different…
Gable was hiding from the world so the offer of a secluded cabin was just what he needed. When Gretchen landed on his door, he took the unexpected accident to enjoy her company without the trappings of his life. And Gretchen? Well, she was what she seemed. Genuine, quirky, beautiful, slightly nerdy and irresistible, she was just what he needed. And he for her. Now if only their secrets wouldn’t mess it all up…
Schmexy, funny and quirk-filled, this is another laugh out loud Ponderosa Resort romance!
*I happily reviewed this story
This is a fun novella in the Ponderosa Resort Series. Gable Judson is Hollywood royalty who is looking to get away from a scandal by staying in his buddy James Bracelyn’s cabin. Gretchen Laslo is Jonathan Bracelyn’s half-sister and needs to stay in her brother’s remote cabin to finish her dissertation. Of course, when both of them show up, a huge storm brings down a tree and they are stuck together in the small cabin leading to laughs and sexy times. We meet some of Gable’s family, who will be featured in a new spinoff series.
Smart, sexy and lots of laughs!
This novel was another wonderful addition to the Bracelyn’s stories and the Ponderosa Resort series. Gabe (Gable) and Gretchen each plan to hide away in the family cabin for their own personal reasons. After an initial meeting, they surprise each other when Gabe shows up in the middle of a snow storm at the remote cabin. That makes you think, oh no! It’s going to be a predictable plot! But it doesn’t end up that way! Gretchen is a fun, strong woman, while Gabe is endearing and sympathetic. The two together are magic!
A wonderful story with heart, creativity and a feeling that a spell was placed on the cabin and it’s accidental residents.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.
This story begins with James college buddy Gabe needs to disappear for awhile and he gives him the keys to cabin far from the Ponderosa Ranch Resort. Gretchen happens to show up at James & Lilly’s place to borrow some dill for her famous salmon chowder. Gretchen is Jon’s half-sister. She is related to a Bracelyn. Gretchen meets “Gabel” and invites him to have some soup. He takes the invite and so begins the attraction between Gretchen and “Gabel”. But he does leave shortly to go to the reclusive cabin as planned. But who gets woken up later in the cabin with a gun pointed at him with Gretchen holding the gun?
Gretchen is supposed to stay at the cabin while she does her research on a sighting of a Sierra Nevada red fox nearby by an abandoned cult compound. But she finds
“ Gabel” sleeping in her cabin instead. So begins the adventure of Gabe and Gretchen. Did I mention Gretchen has people names for appliances and that Gabe is keeping a huge secret. There is a snow storm, building a blanket fort inside the cabin and as always lots of humor and heat . Tawna made this Novella very entertaining and hot during a snow storm. A quick read stars!
Looking forward to new series with Gabe’s brothers.
It’s a little serendipitous reading a book about being stuck in a snow storm while one is in the middle of a snow storm. I love the idea of being stuck in a cabin with a good looking man without television, internet, and sometimes electricity. It gets creative, personal, and steamy. There’s always a little drama, and the Bracelyns make an appearance. Tawna Fenske’s books always make for a fun read.
4-4.5 stars.
Loved this so much! As usual with this series, this was fun, flirty, lovely and hot.
This time we have Gretchen and Gable. We saw a little of Gretchen in a previous book and I loved this new addition.
These two were great separately and together. LOVED Gretchen and her honesty and view of the world, as much as her independence. Gable was fun and smart, and even though he had a very low opinion of himself in here, he truly was a great guy.
This was such a fun read, a total must of this series.
P.S.: LOVE that we’ll get more of the Judson’s. They sound like a fun gang!.
*Thank you to the author for providing a copy for which I’m giving my honest opinion*
Snowbound Squeeze will heat you up this winter! This quick and steamy read is perfect for those cold nights when you’re curled up with a comfy blanket and some cocoa. With secrets between them, this steamy romance will have you laughing with Gretchen’s quirky names for objects, and swooning from Gable’s charm. A delightful addition to the Ponderosa Resort series!
This was a very fun, relaxing, comical story. It was fun to go back to childhood with the blanket fort in the living room. It was comical to hear about the grandma’s, especially mustard gramma. It was relaxing because both Gabe and Gretchen were able to let go of their issues for a couple of days in the cabin. But unfortunately reality finds its way into their relaxing, fun times.
Both Gabe and Gretchen have issues in their real lives and they both appear to be bearing the blame for things that were out of their control. Will they be able to overcome these issues and self-blame?
It is such a joy to see more characters coming out of the Ponderosa family. Cord Bracelyn seemed to breed like a rabbit, but these side characters add even more flavor to the series. I’m looking forward to the Judson’s coming to town and seeing what they do with the cult compound.
What can I say about a book that starts with the most unique meet-cute I’ve ever read! Gretchen and Gabe meet while she’s borrowing dill for her salmon chowder…which she invites Gabe to come try. That right there shows the signature fun and zaniness in both the Ponderosa Resort series and author Tawna Fenske’s writing.
Gretchen is just a quirky as the rest of the Bracelyn family, even though shes not a bio Bracelyn herself. She’s enchanted with the handsome, slightly secretive Gabe and his romantic gestures, but notices that he doesn’t share much about himself. There’s an interesting trail of breadcrumbs to who he is, but even this reader was surprised to hear his whole story.
Even though this story is a fast read, it doesn’t feel rushed or incomplete. We get just enough cameos of past characters to give series readers a chance to see how they’re doing, but not enough to confuse or overwhelm new readers. It’s a definite stand-alone read, and possibly the beginning to a new series!? Gabe and Gretchen are a couple to cheer for.
Tawna Fenske has done it again. She’s written another wonderful book to add to her Ponderosa Resort series, and this time it’s Gabe and Gretchen who have found their happy ending. This series is filled with interesting and quirky characters, and you can always expect a little heat and a lot of heart. Gabe is a wounded soul, hiding a heartbreaking secret. Gretchen is guarding her heart after a harsh betrayal. The story, however, isn’t full of angst and sorrow. Instead, we watch as two people get to know one another, sharing who they really with one another. I loved Gretchen’s habit of naming appliances, and sympathized with Gabe over his desire to be seen without the typical preconceived notions most people had of him. I also couldn’t help but long to make a blanket fort of mine own, though it definitely wouldn’t be as romantic as the one Gretchen and Gabe shared — darn! As mentioned, this book is part of a series, and can be read on its own, but I’d highly recommend getting to know the other residents of Ponderosa Resort, too!
Snowbound Squeeze
Book 8 A Ponderosa Resort series

Amazing! Very joyful, funny, sexy, and enjoyable novella! Adorable!
“The snow really is beautiful, white and fluffy and drifting like bits of white fur.”
“Sometimes, the ends justify the means.”
Recommend!
What a great wintertime story for warming things up a little from the inside out. This was a really fun read about two people who while somewhat reluctant, find a way to make the best of their time together. Okay, they find more than one good way to fill the time! This is a novella so it is fairly quick to read and fun. The tie in to other characters that I already enjoy as part of the Ponderosa Resort Series were a fun part too. One of the other things that I really enjoyed about this story was that the setup for the forced companionship didn’t seem as unrealistic as some of the other stories I have read.
If you are looking for a great winter story that is a fun & easy read – you should definitely check this one out!
I really enjoyed this story and loved Gable and Gretchen. From Gretchen with her many amazing quirks and naming her appliances to Gable and his mustard grandma, so many things to like about these two. They were each trying to escape different things and ended up snowbound together. Gable was very romantic making Gretchen the blanket fort and snow mint chocolate chip ice cream. As always, I enjoy the Bracelyn’s and unknowingly two of them put these two in the path of each other and helped Gable get to Gretchen to make things right in the end. I really liked Patti and Colleen and I’m hoping we get to see them in a future book. Of course, we must have a moment of silence in honor of Sarah, Gretchen’s ice cream maker that was a casualty of the Great Tree Crash of 2020. Looking forward to reading Dr. Hot Stuff.
What can I say about this book (or this series, for that matter) without repeating myself ad nauseam? …?
Okay, then I’ll just go ahead and say it. Again. And again, if need be: I love this series so much!
Snowbound Squeeze is such a fun, quick read – Gretchen is an awesome heroine I would love to be friends with, and Gabe (sorry, I just can’t bring myself to think of him as Gable) fits right in with the rest of the Ponderosa Resort heros: sort of a mess, vulnerable, swoon-worthy, funny.
My personal highlights of this story include (but are not limited to): Sally the Chainsaw, the blanket fort (love!), Jim and Bob, and – of course – the posse to the rescue.
