It’s just what Sarah needs, but fate has other plans for her when she gets a phone call from her cousin, Bonnie Malloy. It’s a plead for help that Sarah can’t turn her back on. Family is family, after all. So, she packs up with her rookie, Amanda, and makes … So, she packs up with her rookie, Amanda, and makes the long journey to a small town in Northern Michigan to visit Bonnie.
Toying with emotions promotes deadly play.
The trip shifts quickly from a friendly scout into a murder investigation when a man is found dead inside Bonnie’s toy store. The residents are busy pointing the blame on each other, and the evidence is growing more malicious as snarky politicians, shady business people, and stone-cold hired killers are added to this circus show.
Playtime is over.
Sarah’s back is against the wall as she deals with Bonnie’s explosive emotions and trying to guide Amanda – who knows more about donuts than she does about conducting a murder investigation. A storm is brewing, promising devastation in its wake.

Trouble at the Toy Store!
Sarah and Amanda travel to Michigan to help cousin Bonnie who’s receiving threats. Sarah arrived just in time to assist the local police solve the murder of Jose Lopez, Bonnie’s new boyfriend. A wonderful combination of quirky characters with plenty of suspense, drama, corruption and political intrigue. Enjoy!

Sarah and Amanda are off to see Bonnie Malloy, Sarah’s cousin in Northern Michigan. Bonnie asks for help because she is receiving threatening notes to leave her toy shop! Only when they get there Bonnie’s boyfriend is found dead in her toy store and Bonnie is the main suspect. Will they be able to help Bonnie with her explosive emotions and solve this murder?
Snow Toys For You was very enjoyable. The mysteries that Sarah and Amanda have found themselves involved in at home continue to follow them to Michigan. This book is fast paced, but not too fast to where the book is over before it can be savored. I’m sure that the next book will come with a surprise.

Bonnie, Sarah’s cousin has a personality and then some. All of which is not good, especially when a dead body is found in her toy store! Can Sarah and Amanda rein her in a bit and help find the real killer and why? You will need to read the book to find out. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book from Booksprout.
Another Alaska Cozy Mystery, but this time we are in Michigan. Sarah receives a phone call from her cousin Bonnie to help her and “save her life”.
Arriving she finds out that her cousin gets death threats and within a few hours hears that Bonnie’s Beau has been murdered.
Because Bonnie has problems with short outbursts of extreme anger, she becomes prime suspect for the murder investigation.
As per usual, Sarah and Amanda have to do their best to solve the case, and the local police is just hanging on for the ride.
Well-written and entertaining.

This was one of the best books yet in the series. They get better and better. Sarah and Amanda are a great team. Their relationship is more than friends, partners in crime solving, they are sisters of the heart. So close they know each other’s mind and what they are thinking.
Sarah is called by her cousin Bonnie for help. Someone has been sending her threatening letters to close her vintage toy store or die. Now Bonnie is described as being built like a linebacker. She has a good heart but the mind of a ten year old at times. She also had these weird episodes, if you say the wrong thing she will beat you down. .
While they were interviewing her she gets a phone call notifying that her boyfriend Jose had been killed in her store and she’s suspect number one. Sarah knew Bonnie hadn’t done it and was going to investigate herself. But after meeting the town’s one detective she decided to take over the investigation. Upon examining the evidence she knew that it was a setup and conspiracy. Furthermore that they all were in terrible danger.
Once again Sarah and Amanda, aka Junebug were in hot water. Sarah’s hidden monster The Snowman was lurking in the background. To have the kids and family she dreams about she will gave to kill him but now is not the time.
I absolutely love this series. This book was fun at times, especially when Bonnie beat the cop with a giant candy cane. It was intense edge of your seat action. I couldn’t put it down.

In this one, Sarah and Amanda have to go to Michigan to help out Sarah’s crazy cousin Bonnie. And boy is Bonnie crazy indeed. They get mixed up with an entire corrupt political machine while trying to clear Bonnie of murder charges and save her store. I totally love this series!!

Once again, we have a wild flurry of activity happening in this intriguing mystery. Sarah and Amanda have set off for Michigan to help Sarah’s cousin, Bonnie, who has been getting threatening letters. A murder in the toy shop takes it beyond threats, and what Sarah at first figured was a simple murder investigation was made complicated with the involvement of crooked politicians, businessmen, and hired killers, all mixing into whatever was going on to destroy Bonnie’s toy store! The local police were not much help either!
This was an enjoyable mystery with a good plot, great characters, and many twists and turns to keep the story intriguing for the reader. Grab your copy and follow the clues!
I had a difficult time getting into this book early in, but it got better as it went on. I admit I was hoping the innocent person being framed would be thrown in jail for the first half of the book as she was an extremely annoying character. The main cop mentioned was not much better. He was probably one of the worst I have seen in a cozy mystery before. Eventually their back stories are given in more detail and I felt more sympathetic towards them and they became more tolerable. It is a decent little mystery, and there is some complexity to what is going on, although not too unpredictable.
Sarah and Amanda are off to visit cousin Bonnie: A little too much sweet, a lot wacky mood swings. Bonnie once saved Sarah from a rip tide. A favor was owed – payback time.
They meet a lot of ugly, both local and imported. Sarah has yet to spend much time with husband Conrad since their London adventures.
If they survive all the lethal and dangerous, maybe they can get back on track for baby making. Of course, that couple seems very immersed in lethal, twisted and crazy.
Twisted action packed KU read!
The author does such a wonderful job giving us characters we can connect with. With the twists and turns in the story, you don’t want to put the book down.
