I have been so lucky to read some wonderful stories by this author and I really enjoy her writing style. When I first read the blurb for this book I wasn’t too sure what to expect but it really was a wonderful read. Different to anything that I have read before and it didn’t take me long at all to become completely captivated by what I was reading. The author did an amazing job in creating this fantasy world for the setting to the story and the characters were well thought out and developed well over the book.
I didn’t read the first book in the series but I absolutely would love too. I loved getting to know Milenda and Jaali and seeing them fight to be together and going from strength to strength. I could really feel the connection between the two of them.
I thought that Snow Jewel was a well written story, I really enjoyed it and I am looking forward to more from Ms Reis in the future.
A great read about differences. When the Elders threaten her life, Princess Milenda must flee with her husband Jaali to the icy Isvald. Arriving back home after so long, the place isn’t what Jaali imagined and faces a world of differences and prejudice towards Milenda. Will Jaali be able to make it work or will they end up in more trouble?
A great read. Well developed plot with twists and turns that I just couldn’t put down. Well developed characters like Jaali being brave for Milenda while struggling with his feelings or Milenda facing a new place for love but still standing up for herself.
A brillaint example of worldbuilding with fantastical creatures and different languages and people which were beautifully written. The use of magic and goddesses was spellbinding each time.
I loved the visual detail throughout the novel like the sea and icy mountains with little houses as if you were actually there. I also adored the use of contrasts with ice and desert or cold and warm which was a lovely touch. Overall, a great read and I would give it five stars.
Snow Jewel: Fantasy Romance (The Jewel Chronicles Book 2)

5 out of 5 star
The story Snow Jewel: Fantasy Romance (The Jewel Chronicles Book 2) by Natalina Reis is a wonderful book that I loved reading. I enjoyed reading about the land where the characters find themselves. I loved reading about the characters of Milenda and Jaali. They are a couple whose love is very strong and would do anything for each other. They have a special connection of both body and mind. They are traveling to Jaali’s homeland. Milenda is a strong, beautiful woman. While so much about the place she is traveling to is different than where she has been, she hopes for an open welcome when they arrive. What she gets is just the opposite. Jaali can’t remember a lot about his homeland, however, wants to reconnect with his family and have a safe place to live with Milenda. The prejudice that is displayed toward Milenda is sad, does it also put both her and Jaali in danger? Is there anyone that this couple can trust? All the way through this book you can feel the deep love and affection that Milenda and Jaali have for each other. It warmed my heart and had me believing in soul mates. There are scenes when actions are taken that had me frustrated and also angry at how some can be so close-minded. Another character that I enjoyed reading about is Mjusi, Milenda’s flying lizard who she loves dearly. This story does have twists and will keep you turning pages to find out what happens next. Read to see if Milenda and Jaali find a safe place to live a quiet life. This is a book that draws you in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put down until I had read the final page. It is well-written and a book I would recommend reading. This is the second book in a series and am hoping for more stories to come.
Snow Jewel is the second book in the series. I did not read the first story Desert Jewel, but I will be reading it because I have enjoyed Snow Jewel so much. Natalina Reis has a deep connection with her characters. It seems as she draws from personal experience or very close relationship that Milenda goes through in the story. This world is a land of snow and ice. She is not accustomed to this world but she is willing to live there. This is Jaali (her husband’s world) and she is a Princess here. This story takes on a relationship of interracial husband/wife. There are dangers that are not known and trust becomes an issue. Will her relationship strength with her husband or will the powers that be separate them?
This is the second book in this series and I loved it just as much as the first one. I love the fantasy journey it takes me on with action and romance. In this book Milenda and Jaali’s love is put to the test. This is a story of determination and fighting for what is yours. This book pulled me in right from the beginning and kept me engaged until the last word. The emotional roller coaster and twists and turns had me losing track of time. This is a must read.

This is the second book in the Jewel Chronicles series and i suggest reading this series in order because the characters are introduced in the first book and there is some important information given. This book is different than any book that i have read in a long time. It’s fantasy mixed with romance and a little bit of suspense thrown in. It had me from page one and i couldn’t put it down. I am looking forward to reading more by this author.
I would recommend this to my Fantasy loving friends.

Snow Jewel: Fantasy Romance by Natalina Reis is the second installment of The Jewel Chronicles. I suggest to read the first book in the series to better understand the storyline and the characters in this story. This story is a fantasy interracial romance full of action and drama. This story is about Milenda and Jaali, their love for each other is very strong and and will go to any extent for each other. As they both travel to Jaali’s homeland, Milenda wonders if she be welcomed by Jaali’s family. The attention she receives is different to what she wanted and expected. This story touches on racism and how it affects Milenda’s and Jaali’s trust for people, even Jaali’s family. Will Milenda and Jaali find a place that they can live happily and freely without prejudice? I enjoyed reading this series, although I normally don’t read sci-fi fantasy, but the story is rather engaging and will suck you in with the well written storyline. I look forward to reading more from Natalina Reis.

If your looking for a book that will take you on an interesting ride this is it. The author created a world that was breathtakingly beautiful and complex. The characters faced many difficulties and did amazingly well with holding on to each other. I wasn’t expecting to be so entertained while reading this story. It was almost like watching a novella. Who can Milenda trust? Judged by the color of her skin. I was surprised with how the author handled the situation being judged just because your skin is a certain color is hurtful and disappointing. It leaves you with so many negative views on not only yourself by others around you. I truly believe that that is how hatred is made. I liked Jaali and Milenda their bond was nice and you could feel their love through the pages. The details in this book were great I could picture the moments while reading.
I love coming across rare but interesting books. Books that grab my attention and won’t let go. This was the case with Snow Jewel by Natalina Reis. I was thorougly impressed with her writing style and the way in which she portrayed the characters
I was enthralled with the mere subjects of interracial couples and having them deal with everything that they have to deal with. It’s a hard world within itself, but to add that particular subject makes it even harder and more interesting. I was shocked that the author was able to write this story and have it flow so seamlessly.
I loved the characters, and even though they had to fight for what they believed in and what they wanted, the outcome was completely worth it. I loved everything about this book, and am glad that the author wrote it the way in which she did. I definitely consider this a 5 Star Book!
The Jewel Chronicles Book 2: Snow Jewel written by Natalina Reis. I have not read book one in the series and after reading Snow Jewel I wish I had read it first. I want to read the back story of how Milenda and Jaali met and became where they are now. I had issues getting into this story at first but once I got into it I was good to go. This story was well written and the characters are so unique.

Snow Jewel is the second book in the Jewel Chronicles by Natalina Reis. Although you could probably read this book as a stand alone, I would recommend you read the first book in the series first. You will be better informed as to the back story while reading this book. Natalina has brought this story to life with the wonderful creatures, special powers and amazing world building. The story is full of fantasy, action, mystery, intrigue, suspense but also touches on the issues of prejudices and intolerance. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. I read well past my bedtime just because I couldn’t put it down. This book also left me with a small book hangover, I find myself thinking about things I have read and wondering what would happen if……
I hope we get more about Milenda and Jaali in future stories because I’m just not ready for their story to be finished. I would highly recommend this book to everyone, but especially if you are into fantasy.
Snow Jewel (Jewel Chronicles #2) by Natalina Reis was a unique, intriguing read that had me hooked.
Not my first read by this author, so I knew I was in for a original, otherworldly read. I was not disappointed, though I didn’t read the first book, there was enough info given in this wonder, were I got what was going on, and the situation as to why they were on the run. The info was given at the right time, and this actually read like a stand-a-lone. But I will be checking out the first book, because I want to see the start of Milenda and Jaali’s relationship.
This was quite the read, and full of raw emotions and the power of a mob mentality. I can’t lie I was wanting the gods to go apocalyptic nuclear on that town’s people. I was getting angry, and the way they wanted to “fix” Jaali..I was seeing red. I felt for him and for Milenda when it appeared hopeless, but they did have some powerful deities looking out for them.
Since this is a fast and quick read, and it being the second book, I’m not going to say anything about the plot. I will tell you that the writing was easy to follow, even with the random words that represents the languages that are present in that world. The flow match the plot and tone, the timeline did move fast, but it made the situation realistic, and not just a quick fix.
Overall I very much enjoyed this book, and as I said I will be going back and reading the first. Please take my super high recommendation that this series is worth your time. It’s something special, and in my opinion relevant. I can’t wait to read the next instalment, cause I think it’s going to be epic.
Happy Reading

Snow Jewel by Natalina Reis is the second book in the Jewel Chronicles series. The story continues with Milenda and Jaali and their challenges. Will their love conquer the prejudices that they face? This can be read as a stand alone book but I recommend reading in order. There was a lot of information in the first book which helps in the understanding of the second book. I enjoyed the continued development of the story and the changes in location and the descriptions of the scenery and the characters. The story is progressive in dealing with prejudices of people that we have built misconceptions. I liked the writing and was drawn into the story. Looking forward to reading more in the future.

Wow these two people go out of the frying pan into the fire. They flee from Natale because they won’t accept their marriage since they are a mixed couple. So they decide to go to Isvarld which is Jaali’s homeland. He hasn’t been there since he was abducted 12 years ago. When they see Milendas dark skin they immediate hate her. It seems they can not be left alone to be happy and live their life anywhereThe emotion between the couple is so sweet. They are always snuggling, touching or loving on one another. Also telling each other frequently how much they love one another. They are clearly devoted.
His sister is a witch. I would think she would be happy to see him but Nooooo! All she does is think up ideas to make Jaali’s life miserable. Worst sister ever! Jaali’s life in his homeland is worse then it was being a indent. Poor guy!
This is the second book in the series. While this was Interesting It seems kind of slow. The last book had so much action and adventure. This one not so much. The story was fine and the characters remained true to form. I just found myself losing interest at times although the whole Mjusi thing was cool.
I will be the first to admit, dragons, made up languages, and sci-fi aren’t really my cup of tea. However, Natalina Reis is a one-click author for me. I often don’t even read the synopsis of the story before I dive into her books because a lot of the time, I am blown away with the intricate story between the covers, that I don’t want to get wrapped up in the shortened and brief explanations using words like dragons to describe the story.
The worlds that Natalina brings to life with her novels are something I can only imagine are both beautiful and frightening. I love her ability to make you feel as if you are sitting in the snow freezing or scorching in the heat, right along with the characters, much like she does in Snow Jewel.
Snow Jewel is book number two of the Jewel Chronicles. I have personally read book one, Desert Jewel, and loved it. I could see where you would be able to read them as standalones, but I wouldn’t and you really do get a much more enhanced read by reading both, and in order.
This is not your average love story. There are also some underlying lessons to be learned while reading. Prejudice is rampant, and danger lurks. Milenda and Jaali would really move mountains for each other. They have a deep-rooted love that just shines off the kindle screen (if that’s your thing) and radiates to the reader. In Snow Jewel they find themselves traveling to the homeland of Jaali. Jaali is hoping to introduce Milenda to his traditions, and to his people. They hope for that warm welcome and that Milenda is going to feel at home. What they get is quite the opposite. Milenda is a visual reminder of tragedy that has plagued Jaali’s homeland and their past. Will they be able to convince the people that Milenda is actually the opposite? Can they keep their love for each other strong in the face of danger, and survive?
You will be consumed with this tale, long into the night or well through the afternoon, when you should be doing something else. I know I did, and it was so worth the sleepy hangover I had the next day. I can’t wait to see what will come next in this series and from Natalina Reis.
Snow Jewel by Natalina Reis is the second book in the Jewels Chronicles series and carries on from the first book Desert Jewel. You need to read the books in order otherwise you will miss out on so much of the story. Natalina writes characters that you feel a connection with and the world in which they live become real and vibrant. The journey is full of action and danger, love and determination and keeps you intrigued from go to woe. Will their relationship stand the test of time and all the obstacles put in their way? To find the answer to this you need to grab a copy.

Snow Jewel:Fantasy Romance (The Jewel Chronicles Book 2 ) By Natalina Reis is the second book in her The Jewel Chronicles Series. If you haven’t read the first book in this series I highly recommend reading it. I was hooked from the beginning till the last page. This story will take you on a emotional rollercoaster ride with a few twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat trying to figure out what happens next. Get ready to be taken on a journey of determination and also some fighting for what is yours.i feel like this is a definite must read. I love this author and her ability to grab your attention from the beginning till the end. I can’t wait to see what she has for us next.
SNOW JEWEL is book 2 in “The Jewel Chronicles” and I recommend reading this series in order. The author is a very detailed and descriptive writer and Book 1 had so much great world building that I think you would be doing the series a disservice by reading it out of order. I actually read DESERT JEWEL about 1.5 years ago and it had a different cover. I was surprised to see new covers and now I get to see what the author envisioned the characters to look like. We are not that far apart in our imagination.
SNOW JEWEL tells the other side of the story. We get to see where the Jaali is from – which is a place where Milenda is not welcome. A reversal of roles so to speak. With good, there is bad and there are situations in this story that are no so far off from today’s non-fictional world. It’s human nature, I suppose – although I wish it could be different.
Once again, this tale is told in a wonderful way. The story is well crafted and I was thrilled to read about the characters and creatures in this new book. Side note: I think everyone should have a “magical” flying lizard.
I have enjoyed everything I’ve ever written by this author and look forward to her continued writing.
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book as I jumped in without reading the first in the series. But boy I wasn’t disappointed. I will definitely be going back to read book one for the details I missed. This book was well written and well developed. I really enjoyed this author’s writing style. Loved it and definitely recommend this!
I give Snow Jewel: Fantasy Romance (The Jewel Chronicles Book 2) by Natalina Reis, 5 stars.
*This review may contain spoilers from book 1.*
Princess Milenda and Jaali now are on their way to meet his people. They have to be welcomed, right? It has to be better than the way Jaali was treated by her people. Turns out, maybe not. All they see is her skin and what her people have done to them. Luckily, the gods are with them. Will they be able to escape this frozen place? Will they ever find peace?
This series is so good. I always forget up just how good it is, until I start the next book. I literally could not put it down. I love the princess and Jaali. They are wonderful characters written so well. The gods are something too. But what really makes this book great is the story itself. It pull you in immediately and weave a story of love, adventure and imagination. The author is a wonderful storyteller and I hope she writes many more books.
I highly recommend this book to those who like love stories that are not quite simple.
