I have re-read this book (series) multiple times. It is my go-to when nothing else holds my attention.
This is the first book from this author. I liked it very much. It was a story that reminded me somewhat of Cinderella but in a good way. There was some violence and aggression, some murder but nothing gory or bloody. I guess I am not into much gruesome so that was one of the reasons that I liked it. The main character, Snow, was snarky and smart, very approachable. Chris, although I expected him to be rough him being the mob boss, was tough but nice and even kind hearted. I loved the romance, the relationship they all had with Simon, how they protected him. If you like really tough stuff like Jessie G’s Sizzling Miami series then this is not for you. I loved this book and will definitely want to read what she comes up with next.
Such an amazing twisted, kinda dark, romance love story. Love Snow, he’s amazing, and his fairy tale family is there for him. Happy ending .
Snow Falling by Davidson King was a quick M/M read for me. The story focuses on Snow, a young man who is living on the streets. His rules are, don’t give anyone your name, don’t tell anyone your secrets and trust no one. It is only when he comes to the aid of a young boy that his life is turned upside down and he has to learn, not only to trust but to let go of the secrets that have put his life in danger. To make matters more complicated, the young boy that he saves only happens to be the nephew of Christopher Manos, one of the most powerful crime bosses in the country!
This was a really sweet story and less about the mafia and more about two people meeting and falling for each other, regardless of their backgrounds. I loved how free Snow was with Christopher and how he gave Christopher a little bit of vulnerability which made him more likeable, especially when we saw that he would move heaven and hell to be with Snow.
Snow was just one of those likeable characters who seemed to make people feel good no matter where he was. He also tended to sacrifice himself a little bit more than was necessary, but everything came up smelling roses in the end.
There is a little bit of steamy romance in this book, but the book definitely focuses more on who Snow is as a person than anything else. Overall, it was a good read with some good characters.

This book surprised me so much!! I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect since this was my first Davidson King book and of course I read too many reviews making me second my decision to read it. Honestly, it was so freaking sweet with a little violence thrown in making it exactly what I was needing. Snow & Christopher were cuteness personified.
Snow was everything I love in a damaged MC. He had been through so much, but he was still tough as nails not letting people treat him like he was less than because his life had been difficult.
Christopher was N O T H I N G like your typical mob boss. Yes, he was ruthless and protective of his family and the people that he loved but he was also so damn tender hearted I was swooning all over the place.
Simon was adorable!! He instantly trusted Snow and I love that with children, they can just tell sometimes if someone is good or bad. I felt like with Simon was able to trust Snow despite growing up the nephew of a mobster because he could see the good in him.
While the murder and mayhem weren’t a top priority in this story, I did really like King’s way of adding in enough action to make the book unputdownable. I was turning pages so fast just trying to see what was going to happen with Snow and Christopher.
Snow Falling was one of those books that just shocked the hell out of me, and I will definitely reading book two even though it is a new story.
My first read of Davidson King, I’ll def read the rest of the series.
Snow got pulled into the Manos family by doing a good deed. But he earned a bitter enemy the same day.
Snow and Christopher Manos develop a relationship and Snow fits into the family’s daily life. But danger is never far away and Snow is keeping his past hidden.
I enjoyed this book. Snow was a good character with a surprising background and the story was entertaining.
This is the best series I have ever read! and since I have been reading since the 1970s…that says something! 🙂 BTW the audio books are great too!
The second book of this series was just as cute and fluffy as the first one. The Alpha/omega dragon shifters are stubborn but end up being the perfect couple. This book was all about fluff and romance.
The world Snow lives in is full of danger and betrayal. In order to survive, Snow has to be smart and invisible, but it’s hard to be invisible when the attention of one of the most powerful crime bosses is focused on you. Christopher is a crime boss, but he’s also a doting uncle who’ll do anything to protect his young nephew. When his nephew is saved by the gorgeous Snow, he can’t help but be intrigued by the man and his story.
This book blew me away. I was not expecting to love it as much as I did. The suspense was masterfully done and kept me on the edge of my seat. The characters were well developed and believable. These are men who live in the dark gray areas of the world and aren’t afraid to make the hard and morally comprised choices they need to make in order to survive and protect their loved ones. The romance between Christopher and Snow was delightful and had me grinning from ear to ear.
The audiobook was spectacular and so very well performed. The narrators not only told a story but brought the characters to life.
Overall Rating: 5 Stars. The writing was great, the plot was fantastic, and the characters outstanding.
Holy Shit!!! This is going on my absolute favorites shelf. I fucking loved – loved – LOVED it.
The only thing I didn’t like about this book was the blurb.
Honestly, I’m not kidding. I’ve had this book in my TBR list for a while, before I knew the author, and every time I’d come to read it I’d go through the blurb and think, “No. Too melodramatic.” Then I got to know the author a little bit personally and I was afraid to read it and review it in case I didn’t like it. (Anxiety is funny like that.)
The book had plenty of drama. Oh, there was tons of drama. None of it, and I do mean none, was melodrama. Everyone’s reactions were reasonable, even if the situations sometimes seemed a little weird. If I can suspend my disbelief long enough to believe in werewolves and long-dead warlocks stalking descendants of their killers through time, I can suspend my disbelief long enough to believe in the scenario that brought Snow into contact with Christopher.
By now, you’re more than aware of my strong preference for stories with murder and mayhem. Snow Falling brings that in a big way, but all the violence is necessary for the plot. There’s no point where I can say, “King hit a wall here and threw in a murder to start things up again.” (Ahem. Not that I’ve ever done that.) Everything makes perfect sense and flows logically, and I did not want to put the book down.
(So I didn’t.)
The two main characters are incredibly vivid. They’d have to be, in the wild ride that is Snow Falling. Snow, the title character, has been through absolute hell for a very long time. He still shines brightly in his interactions with all of the secondary characters, especially Christopher’s nephew. He’s not the strongman type of character I’d almost expect in this type of story, but his strength radiates from the page and I still wouldn’t cross him.
Christopher is a crime boss, and in some ways he’s what one would expect of a crime boss. It would be impossible to ignore his heart, which shows through even in the most brutal acts.
The secondary characters are amazing, standing out from each other with distinct personalities and motivations. The ultimate villain might be a little over the top, but it’s hard not to want that in a story like this.
You’re going to love this book. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series, and the one after that.
Holy..just Wow!!!
The blurb for this book caught my attention. Then I saw who the author was and I was even more intrigued. Knowing them through Facebook and what a delightful, intelligent, and humorous person they are, I had to read it. Then I got distracted and put it off. Man I could also myself. I have become a fan of mafia books when done right thanks to Davidson King and this one is perfectly done. The characters are well thought out and flow perfectly. You get hooked on them and fear for their outcome. By the end I even ended up one that was a bad guy at first. That’s some serious skill there. You will laugh, cry, and be anxious about what is happening or could be about to happen. This is definitely a thrill ride I was sad to leave at the end. If this is their debut novel, I can’t wait to see what comes next.

I absolutely loved this book very much! This is my first book by this author and I can’t wait to dive in and binge read the rest of the series. Snow has got to be one of my favorite characters ever if not my number one! His whole demeanor and way was a breath of fresh air. I fell in love with the story almost from the very first page. You have the badass with a golden heart in Christopher. With Simon’s innocence and goodness, you have a character that draws the best out of those around him as he did with Snow. There was the perfect amount of angst and action to have me reading this in one sitting. And Snow’s quick witted personality brought laughter that I deeply needed. I can’t wait to find out where we go from here. If you love MM romance with a dose of heat, suspense, action and of course two characters falling in love then you need to pick this book up.
