It was meant to be the holiday of a lifetime; six months at Blue Sky Ski Resort, working over a winter ski season and rekindling a relationship that had slowly grown cold.Until the day Pippa came home to find her boyfriend in bed with another woman. Now, determined to seize the opportunity, she travels to Canada by herself to find meaning in an existence suddenly turned upside down. But as Pippa … But as Pippa is about to find out, a ski resort is a dangerously seductive place for a single woman; a world apart from the rules of normal life, where she can be anyone she wants. If she allows herself.
Noah hasn’t been back to Blue Sky in ten years, and it’s the last place on earth he wants to be right now. And yet he finds himself returning to the place of his childhood to unravel a tangled relationship with his father, and to live up to his mother’s legacy. Throw in a resort on the brink of disaster and a wicked step-mother causing mischief, and Noah doesn’t think that life could get any more complicated.
Pippa and Noah could be perfect for each other, but fate has other ideas. And when they both catch a glimpse of something they didn’t even know they needed, how far are they willing to go?

This is the first book in the Blue Sky series. I thought it was a good romance story. It was well written and I enjoyed the storyline. I enjoyed reading about Noah and Pippa.

Interesting and entertaining story and characters. Each character has a journey to make and is an enjoyable read. There are characters to love and not love. Twists and turns along their individual journey. Including a romance!

This is a new Author to me,I will be looking for more books to see what else is out there by Darcy.A well written story that held my interest throughout. Pippa gets off early and comes home to a surprise causing her and her boyfriend to break up. Pippa decides seeing as she paid for their trip to Canada she will go by herself. Noah hasn’t been back to Blue Sky in ten years he now decides it is time to do so, he meets Pippa. Their way will be bumpy before they get their happy ending.
Pippa has been betrayed by her long time boyfriend and decides to take time for herself on an extended work/vacation at a ski resort . She meets Noah and they click. I really liked the journey of self discovery. Pippa just wanted a break, but she gained so much more. She learned what was most important to her. Noah wanted to do what he had to do and leave his family’s resort. He discovered his true feelings for the resort and Pippa. I liked the mix of romance and investigation. I think the problems and questions with the resort helped Noah realize he loved it more than he thought. The scenery was written very well. It was so easy for me to picture everything. The emotions at the end of the season were felt. It reminded me of leaving the beach when I was a child. I was so happy that they didn’t get together immediately after a separation. It was realistic in that they followed through with other obligations and during that time and realized how much they loved and cared for one another. Very enjoyable read!

Noah is back in a place he doesn’t want to be. Pippa is trying hard to forget her past that includes a cheating ex. When they meet they believe that they are just workers at the resort. Pippa doesn’t know that Noah is one of the owners until his step mother barges in his home. To top it all of they get Pippa caught up in their scheme to get investors for the resort. To go along will involve her becoming Noah’s fake fiancé. Can she keep up the story of being his fiancé without compromising her heart?

This story was ok. Pippa ended up in Canada after she walked in on her boyfriend in bed with another woman. She travels to Canada and meets Noah although at first she didn’t know him as Noah. They have some bumps in their relationship due to secondary characters and circumstances such as his step-mother and her ex. One thing that stuck with me was the anal play. I felt there was way too much of it. The book started with that. I am not a prude by all means but every time they were in bed, that is what they wanted. I can only handle so much and when they finally did, she was on top and there was no hint of pain or anything, straight to pleasure. I have read enough books and there should have been some issue especially if she wasn’t preparing herself for it. Other than that, it was a good book. Would I read it again, probably not.
