When the Sage Gardens Social Committee arranges a murder mystery weekend at a winter resort, Samantha convinces Walt, Jo and Eddy to join her, as the group that solves the murder wins a cruise. But the cruise becomes the last thing on the four retirees’ minds when they are snowed in and then Eddy stumbles across a dead body. Then things get even worse when the body goes missing and the four … four friends find that they have a real murder mystery to solve. But how can they solve the mystery without a body?
Will the ‘Sage Gardens Sleuths’ find the dead body and the murderer before the snow melts and the murderer disappears? Or worse, will they land up in danger with no way to escape?
This is book 10 in the Sage Gardens Cozy Mystery Series. The main mystery is solved in each book, but the series is best enjoyed when read in order.

Sort of a muder she wrote book
Fun read. Finished it in one day.
fun read
Quick, refreshing easy read!
Very disappointing. Overly simplistic plot, and the story DRAGGED….
“Snow Can Be Deadly” introduces us to a group of friends, Samantha, Jo, Eddie and Walt, all residents of the Sage Gardens retirement home. Samantha convinces her friends to join her on a mystery weekend at a luxury resort. There will be a murder mystery performance and the guests of the resort, divided into groups, have to solve the murder. The winning group gets a free cruise for each person in their group. Eddie, a retired policeman, and Walt, a man who is obsessed with cleanliness, preferring to stay home, reluctantly decide to accompany Samantha and Jo on the mystery weekend. They travel by bus with other residents of the retirement home and finally arrive at their destination. Walt, having brought all kinds of cleaning supplies, immediately cleans the room he will be staying in and inquires from people who work in the hotel if there are any bedbugs. Eddie explores some of the resort and finds what he thinks is a dead body. When he reports his find, the body is gone. Bart, the head of Resort Security and his team search for the body and tell all the guests that Eddie must have had too much to drink because there is no body. Eddie and his friends then look for the dead body. Readers wonder if there really was a dead body or if it was just an actor practicing his part in the murder mystery. Readers learn that an actor named Howard is missing and learn that Howard is not well liked by the actors or some of the guests and has gotten drunk and disappeared before. Then a blizzard occurs and the guests are unable to leave the resort because all the roads are closed. I was surprised by the ending. I enjoyed looking for clues and wondering what was really happening on that mystery weekend. It is a very fast, fun read.
Very good book.
Just couldn’t get into the book
It was a light cosy read.
A great read
It felt like a plot for “Murder Mystery Theater”. Should be converted into a stage play.
A mystery in a mystery.
Starts off pretty calm and typical…when it picks up, it’s great!
Great Cozy Mystery!
