As always, Cindy Gerard delivered a fast-paced, action packed romantic suspense that kept me turning the pages and staying up, too, too late.
I haven’t read all of the books in this series. They are stand alone and it’s not necessary to read all to enjoy any of them. I did read the first and enjoyed it, but Cindy Gerard has been a “must buy” for me for years, so yes…I skipped the books in the middle to get to one of my favorite authors.
The concept for the series was great, one horrendous blizzard hitting multiple states with some kind of crime going down in each location, all written by different authors. I’d never read Debra Webb before and I bought the first book on Cindy Gerard’s recommendation. I’ll probably read the rest now, but it will be hard to top Cindy Gerard who has been and still reigns as the queen of military romantic suspense to me.
I was so excited to have a new Cindy Gerard book to read! Love her books and Snow Blind does not disappoint! Action, suspense and romance all rolled together in classic Cindy Gerard style.
In SNOW BLIND, (STORMWATCH, Book 6), Cindy Gerard shows just why she’s a New York Times bestselling author. This is page-turning suspense!
Snow Blind is the last entry in the Stormwatch series. It did not disappoint. Agents Cara Graves and Josh Haskins are members of a Rapid Response team and are called to investigate suspicious chatter about a nuclear power plant in Palo, Iowa. What seems like a simple recon investigation turns out to be a terrorist attack on the power plant. The devastation from a nuclear incident could affect much of the Midwest and the Mississippi Basin. In the face of this death threat, Cara and Josh are forced to acknowledge the attraction they have for each other. With blizzard Holly complicating their operation to stop the terrorists, their future together is in serious jeopardy. This was a page turner and a thriller.
What a fantastic finish to this amazing series! As winter storm Holly crashes into Cedar Rapids Iowa, Cara and Josh find themselves thrown into a situation that they were not expecting. As they battle the storm they must stop a terrorist attack on a nuclear power plant. Time is ticking as the storm rages around them and they must work together to get the job done.
A riveting read and the perfect conclusion to this action-packed series.
Although each book can be read as a stand-alone, Winter Storm Holly weaves itself through all six books as a strong character as well as a terrific backdrop for these edge of the seat novels.
The last book in STORM WATCH series is wonderful…action-packed, romantic, suspenseful. Cara and Josh race to end a possible nuclear disaster in midst of worst winter storm in years. A growing attraction keeps things interesting as they fight to stop disaster and take care of each other!!! Cindy Gerard’s name on a book is guarantee of excellence.
Holly, one of the worst snowstorms in decades, is descending on Cedar Rapids Iowa. Josh and his boss Cara are heading there on a quick recon mission. Their mission is to find out if the chatter that was picked up by officials is true. Is someone planning to attach the nuclear plant. (Cara also has a second reason for picking Josh for this job. She must find out if her feelings for him can be dealt with. She thinks he may feel something too and they must find a way to get rid of them. She’s his boss she can’t fall for him!) Seems unlikely in this small frozen town terrorists would be plotting just two days before Christmas. However, the threat is more than real and Josh and Cara must use everything they can get their hands on to stop it. As Holly descends on the area Josh, Cara and the perps are out in the thick of it struggling to complete their mission. Cara and Josh need to stop the terrorists bent on destruction to mankind. This is a quick read that has some intrigue and some budding love and characters you’ll like.
Snow Blind
Cindy Gerard
Sent only to observe means they are not prepared to engage when they find out there is a nuclear disaster that needs to be stopped. Backup is nil since Storm Holly is bearing down on them. Can Cara and Josh work together to stop it? Will Holly be a help or a hindrance?
The last of the Storm Watch series grabs you and doesn’t let go until the end. Loved Josh and Cara as strong agents who had guts and determination to accomplish their assignment and go that extra mile when everything seemed to be working against them.
