Editorial Review
“Few criminals know how to terrorize a city quite like a sniper on the loose, and C. M. Sutter kicks off her new Detective Jesse McCord Police Thriller series with a sniper who’s targeting Chicago’s police and emergency services. The likable McCord, whom Sutter fans will recognize from an earlier book, is a particularly daring leader in the hunt for the killer, and the tension ramps up steadily as the book approaches its chilling conclusion.” Angela M., Line Editor, Red Adept Editing

Decent crime story. Well written but a little predictable and a let down on the ending even if realistic.
The social message of the book is interesting – especially in these times. First responders should be willing to put their life on the line – it is a dangerous job and, in this case, cops and EMTs should be willing to go into dangerous situations. I agree. But , in this time of defunding police because they are just scum (not my opinion but it is what I hear from many in our country) who just abuse the rights of citizens I don’t blame cops if they tell people to go pound sand. Especially in the setting of this book – Chicago.
This book was written too matter-of-factly for my taste. Not much emotion & too robotic. It reminded me of Dragnet – “just the facts.” Plus there were way too many characters introduced in the police station, etc – couldn’t keep track of them.
Great Read!
An obvious villain combined with a lot of chin jerking, cheek scratching, head jerking and extremely unnatural dialogue. Some cops with very questionable abilities. Overall, meh.
This was a book about a man taking revenge on the Chicago police and paramedics for failing to save his wife from a home invasion.
Excellent book -really enjoyed reading it -kept my interest throughout
Snipers nest is a entertaining tale of revenge. The writing is simple, think “old man and sea.” easy enough that a young reader will enjoy reading. It may be predictable, i reasoned the bad guy before the story identified him.
If you enjoy stories that aren’t about erotic behavior you will enjoy this dective tale.
Allsome hard to put down
Enjoyed this book, but the author needs a better proofreader
I love all of this author’s books. This one did not disappoint.
I enjoyed this book. Was well written. Looking forward to reading more of these books.
Enjoyable read . . . I guessed the protagonist about 3/4’s the way through but the ending was worth the extra effort just to get the outcome final lines.
Action packed reading. Would definitely recommend
Good read.
Story was realistic and not outrageously overdone for effect.
I liked it.
couldn’t down once started
Police procedural that does not detract from the fast-moving action.
This was a great book could not put it down and am looking forward to the next book.
If I ever thought being a being a cop would be an interesting career choice, this book certainly made me rethink that idea. Just rushing to assist where help is needed can be fatal if there’s a sniper with a grudge against cops and EMT’s who is luring them into traps…scary thought! It’s a good read even though I did figure out the sniper and the motive early in the story.
You never know what will happen when you turn the page. My favorite kind of reading!
