I should have never looked into Raphael or the mysteries around him, mysteries I might never be able to solve. Stonewalled, I’ve gotten stuck when it comes to him. My roommate, my… mate. Not that he knows what he really is to me. The less he knows, the better. But without being able to find him answers, I have to get back to my job. I’m at the beck and call of the Tribunal and I’ve been lax with … lax with my duties.
It should have been a routine, but when someone makes enemies as dangerous as I do, nothing stays that way. As the world spirals out of control, I can’t help but think this has something to do with him, the mate I don’t want and the partner I’m forced to keep close. With unanswered questions swirling around me, only one thing is certain.
I’m Kaliya Sahni, a Tribunal Executioner and the last nagini.
Someone wants me dead and I walked right into their trap.

Banet has done it again, written a story that just ohhh throws you for a loop and twists you in a circle. Ohh I can’t wait for the next one. Kaliya and Raphael are so complicated and deep. I love them! I want to know more there’s just so much going on, and so much to follow. I love a good twist. There was so much action I finished this in a day. I was riveted and didn’t want to put it down and my only disappointment was that it ended! Hopefully I won’t have to wait to long for the next book.
This story picks up a few months after book 1. Kaliya and Raphael are trying to figure each other out and adapting to living together. Kaliya gets a call that she needs to do a routine inspection, but nothing is ever that simple. I really like that we get to learn more about Kaliya’s history and see Kaliya and Raphael working together. I loved the Seeing Kaliya, Sorcha and the guys hanging out together. I really think we need a little novella of girls night out with Sorcha and Kaliya 🙂 I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series!
No matter the story or the characters, Kristen Banet never fails to deliver! So many authors write books that are the same, but just the names have changed. Not Kristen ! Each story is its own. The imagination and magic she puts into her writing is fathomless. What I love most about her books and is so in this series, there is a continuation of the main story in each. You gradually learn more and more of the story and characters, yet each book also has its own adventure, mystery and drama that leaves you satisfied at the end, but at the same time , yearning and looking forward to the next installment. No cliffhangers! The mystery of Kaliya and the slow burn romance are just so enticing. I highly recommend everyone to read Snared, as well as every other book written by this masterful writer!
I’m a big fan of this author and I am loving this series so far! It honestly just keeps getting better and better! I love the world, the storyline, and the characters! I can’t wait to see what happens next!
The mysteries surrounding Kaliya and her reluctant charge, Raphael, come to a head in this second installment of this off-shoot Tribunal Series, though no true answers are found. Instead, the pair (who actually start talking and trying to understand each other here) are thrust into an unexpected conspiracy – with Kaliya right in the middle.
A prison break, memory spells, deadly battles and hints of intrigue – it all comes out to play and dance with this duo, while some of their closest and strongest allies are off world for reasons of their own. It’s dangerous, exciting and, of course, very, very bloody.
In true Banet style, by the time the final paragraph ends, we are even more invested in the lives and adventures of these characters – and left wondering what the next steps are going to be. The mysteries from book 1 only grow deeper here, and more insidious, dragging up the past and showcasing possibilities that may, or may not, be connected. All that is backed by the simmering drama between Kaliya and Raph… and what she hasn’t told him yet.
Frankly, I love it, and I can’t wait to see where things go from here. Oh, and Sorcha! I want to know more about her! I need HER story too, she’s an equal bad@ss in a world of bad@sses, and I kinda love her.
