An accused parrot, a dead babysitter and mountains of stolen chocolate.

When a young au pair sneaks a bite of one chocolate bar, she grows sick and dies from it. From this point on, everyone becomes a suspect in her murder, especially Hillary, who attempts to do some snooping into the case, if all to clear Spot’s name from chocolate thievery, this time of the deadly kind.

Another great cozy mystery set in a small town. Wonderful characters and small town atmosphere add to the book’s charm. I enjoyed how the heroine even though she isn’t in law enforcement and vows to stay out of it, just can’t help herself. The character who steals the show is the parrot who always seem to be one step ahead of everyone. The dialogue is amazing. This book is funny, witty, and full of surprises that keep one tuned in until the reveal at the end. If you like quick easy to read cozy mysteries then you will like this one.

Chocolate to Die For!
Another great Rosemary Harbor mystery for super sleuth Hilary and her feisty parrot Spot to solve. A wonderful cozy mystery filled with warm friendly characters and unique twists for an enjoyable experience. Quick easy read. Enjoy!
I received an arc copy and am happy to leave my honest review.
Hillary’s pet, Spot is threatened by the chocolate store owner across the street. Seems that Naomi believes that Spot ate ten gallons of chocolate because she found one of his feathers inside her locked store. There is no way he could eat that much chocolate. Naomi wants Hillary to surrender him to Animal Control. This can’t happen, it is one of the few links she has left to Matthew, her deceased husband. Later while delivering baskets with Preston, the Cheif of Police, Spot flies off and then comes back…with another piece of chocolate in his beak. When asked where he got it he said “dead body”. When they go look, they find the body of Karolina Mikhailovsky, the woman that Naomi’s husband was having an affair with. At the S’mores Event, Hillary sees Teddy, Naomi’s husband, throw a packet in the fire. She pulls it out and it is letters he wrote to Karolina. At first, nice and loving, later one more threatening. Who killed her and why? Was it Teddy? Was it Naomi? You will have to read the book to find out who did it. I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of this book.
This is a short read that is a continuing story from book one. Rosemary Harbor has it secrets. Will the main characters be able to find out who is responsible for the goings on in the town. Keep up the writing.

In this one, Hillary is in trouble thanks to Spot. When the neighboring chocolate shop is missing 10 gallons of chocolate, the owner blames Spot as a feather was found on the floor in the store. Hillary insists that Spot, her dead husband’s favorite pet parrot, could never have eaten that much chocolate. Then come to find out a nanny who used to work at the chocolate store is found dead. Hillary, as much as she tries to stay out of it, is in the middle of the investigation. She has to clear Spot’s name after all.

The second book in the “Rosmary Harbor Mysteries” takes us back to Hillary and Annabelle’s gift shop and their naughty, charismatic parrot.
Starting off with a small mystery – a theft of lots of chocolate, that somehow was blamed on the parrot, the book soon steps up to murder.
Hannah and her circle start sleuthing again.
a fun to read short cozy mystery that can be read alone, but is more fun, if the first book is known to the reader. Well-written and highly entertaining.

The small town setting is great and I love the parrot, even though he is mischievous. The supporting characters are great, however, Hilary was a bit much. She takes offense to things that she has caused or that are none of her business and she’s nosy as heck. Preston has the patience of a Saint and I wonder how their relationship is going to progress.

So far I’ve not been disappointed with any books by this author. This book is no exception! I recommend getting any book you can by Ms. Meadows…you won’t be disappointed!

Hillary is one determined lady. She is in the middle of a murder investigation again and the Chief of Police Preston, is trying to keep her safe. The best character of all is of course Spot. He is the craziest parrot anywhere. Spot and Hillary are good at finding evidence and helping the police. This is a fun series and the characters are great.
S’more Event continues a few weeks after book 1. Naomi seems to find herself involved in the latest investigation. Secrets and gossip seems to thrive in this small town. Hopefully Naomi will be able to keep her name out of the town gossip after this investigation. I can’t wait to see what happens or if something happens between Naomi and Preston. This book is a quick read and good addition to the series.

Hilary is at it again, she doesn’t want to be involved in any murders but she can not help it if she stumbles upon a dead body! This was a good read although I felt it was a bit shorter and the developing relationship between Hilary and Preston. There were some good red herrings in this that kept you guessing who the killer really was and when revealed I thought it was a great twist of how it occurred. I can’t wait to read the next book and hopefully Hilary decides to pursue Preston and think of herself rather than Annabelle.

When Hillary’s parrot, Spot, is accused of stealing a very large amount of chocolate from a local shop, she knows that she has to find out what happened. Could a parrot really eat gallons and gallons of chocolate? When a local resident is found murdered, Hillary, much to the chagrin of the local sheriff, is once again drawn into the investigation. I absolutely love the store opened by Hillary and her daughter where they create speciality gift baskets for all occasions and Rosemary Harbor sounds like a delightful small town. S’more Event is a fantastic addition to this enjoyable series and I’m very much looking forward to the next book. I highly recommend this series by Wendy Meadows!

The crazy parrot is at it again. This time he was blamed for theft of 10 gallons of chocolate. Though guilty of a sweet tooth and petty chocolate theft, that quantity would have been impossible for him.
An angry chocolatier urged that the troublesome bird be surrendered to animal control. Since the bird had been hand raised by Mathew, deceased husband to Hillary, the threat to the bird was very emotional.
Luckily, but unhappily for the chocolatier, Hilary pointed out the large quantity of chocolate could not have been lifted in a vat by the bird, but more likely by the only other person to have a key – philandering Daniel, soon to be ex husband to the chocolate shop owner.
A tangled take of many betrayals by cheating spouses, a dead nanny, and secret stash of hidden chocolate lead to the culprit – with the help of the crazy parrot.
Small town mysteries and family mayhem in a compact and entertaining package. a great KU read!

There are two things I loved about this story: it was a mystery and chocolate! The story was suspenseful and kept the reader guessing about who dunit until the last pages. I love the way this author tosses out seemingly unimportant little bits of information that later become integral to solving the mystery. Highly recommend.

Love chocolate and so does Spot apparently. Just how much can he really eat?
Great addition to new series. This is book two. Fun , easy, fast read, enjoy in one day, even just a few hours.
Thought I had it figured out and got fooled. Never saw it coming. Nice job. Although I think my theory could have been plausible. The cheating husband is still a cad!
Love watching the characters grow and seeing where this is going.
This is my honest and freely given review. I did receive an ARC book.
Hillary Sheridan and her parrot Spot just can’t seem to stay out of trouble. In the second book of the Rosemary Harbor mystery series, Spot once again finds a dead body. It appears that not only does Spot have a sweet tooth for chocolate, but he enjoys stealing it from unsuspecting individuals. When Hillary decides to follow Spot and try to stop his thievery, they come across a nanny that had eaten chocolate, became sick, and is now dead. The nanny would never have eaten chocolate with nuts in it due to her allergy, so Hilary knows that something is just not right.
After promising Preston she would stay out of things, Hillary can’t keep her promise and finds herself knee-deep in a chocolate mystery. This book is filled with madcap adventure, humor, mystery, and a pretty spoiled rotten parrot.
