He doesn’t play fair.

This is my favourite from the Black brothers series, I love Madison and Kent, the chemistry between them is solid and they are both good for each other. I recommend this book, its steamy, enjoyable and a page turner
Final Black brother and conclusion to the series
Smooth is the third book in The Sons of Victor Black series by Cassie Verano. This is the first book I have read a book by this author so I was not sure what to expect. But the book description piqued my interest so I decided to pick it up and give this “new to me” author a try. This story is about Kent (KB) and Madison (Maddie) who have been best friends for years. She is engaged to a guy named Steve but it seems that Kent hates him and there are some underlying feelings for the reason why.
As I had not read the previous two books in this series I think I missed out on some of the family dynamics and backstories about each of the brothers and their father. Plus this books appears to finish up the series story-line. But this book can still work as a standalone if you are okay glossing over some things which may not make full sense. I thought the book was nicely written but I had a hard time getting into liking the characters a lot. I just found some of their behavior to be childish given their age. But I will try reading this author again as it may just be this book, and the fact it is the last in a series, which was causing me to not connect like I wanted to.
I received a copy of this book for my honest review. My opinions are all my own.
Absolutely fantastic! A compelling, thought-provoking, passionate, and steamy read! The story line is fast pace, well though-out, well written, witty, funny, emotionally deep, and will wrap itself around your heart. The characters are amazing, relatable; their chemistry is undeniable and combustible. This is the final book in the series and the author did an amazing job in tying up all loose ends leaving you series satisfied. Definitely recommended!

Madison is the baby sister to Nicole Cabot Black. Madi is a ballerina and is bffs with Kent Black, who is also the youngest Black brother. He’s also the brother in law to Nicole who is married to his older brother Greyson. Smooth was well written and had great character development. The chemistry between the characters is fire, the sex is hot. Kent love taking the chance that he and Madison might get caught in the act.
I loved the conclusion to the story and series. I was glad that Victor was reflective about all the bad as well as all the good in his life. I loved the conclusions of the journeys of the four brothers and their wives. I definitely recommend this book and the entire Black Brothers series.

**Spoilers** Such great end to the series. I loved Kent’s book. He definitely was very smooth. In the other books, he was portrayed at the playboy who loves to party, chase women, spend daddy’s money, and gets away with murder as the baby. But this story showed that he’s much deeper than that. Several successful business ventures on this own and developing another. I like Madison too, but there were times I really wanted to slap her. I get that she’s been friends with Kent to so long and seen his past, but as she admitted, not once has he lied to or hurt her. He was always his true self with her. And she allowed the representation he displayed others cloud her vision of who he was when they were alone. It’s understandable to a certain point, and of course her family felt the need to constantly remind her so that didn’t help. Gotta love Greyson and Zion for being on her side with that. At the end of the day, she’s a grown woman capable of making her own decisions.
You must read the rest of the story to find out all the other craziness that happens. The entire series was amazing. I laughed, cried, and got pissed. An emotional rollercoaster!! Can’t wait to see what the next series brings!
I received an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
Loved this book. Kent and Madison are wonderful together. I could not put this book down once I started. Very steamy.

Little sister to Nicole Cabot Black, Madison Cabot is a ballerina and has been best friends to Nicole’s brother-in-law, Kent Black, also the youngest of Victor Blacks sons since meeting her when his brother Greyson married Nicole.
The family dynamics alone cause issues for these two best friends, but it’s clear they care deeply for each other, but Kent has to mature enough from his womanizing ways and Madison, or Madi, (as Kent affectionately calls her) is also still engaged to a lawyer whom she has no sexual feelings towards.
This book is not for anyone seeking a sweet or clean romance. The chemistry between the characters is liquid fire, the sex is volatile and frequent and Kent likes to perform when there is a chance they can get caught in the act…..which they do on several occasions.
I loved the conclusion to the story and series, with Victor looking back on his life and reflecting on all the bad as well as all the good in his life. I loved experiencing all four of the sons, and I definitely have a favorite, but can easily read them all again and again as they each have their own strengths and drawing powers.
Smooth is the last in the Son’s of Victor Black series, and it was wrapped up nice and neat with a pretty bow on top. I enjoyed this friendship between these two and their chemistry was on fire, they made me smiled with their shenanigans. I wanted to snatch Steve on more than one occasion, you don’t get to treat me any kind of way then try to mess up my happy place. This was a great Friends to lovers trope, The ending made me very happy and I can relate to Victor Black. Great series.
The thing that I like the most about the author, she’s incredibly real. She has a way of connecting you to the characters in some way. And that to me speaks to a great writer. The story of Kent and Madison starts with them being paired in her sister and his brothers’ wedding. From that point on they are inseparable and spend every moment that they can together. The friendship takes a different direction when at the reception for his brother Grant and Alex’s wedding. They share a kiss that ignites a fire in Kent, a known womanizer, and flames the secret desires in Madison. They then ensue a tug of war with their emotions that at times had me wanting to snatch the poor girl and shake her. A tragedy happens and it starts their crazy sex-filled romance. One that has a playboy wanting something he didn’t know was possible, and a girl scared of her heart being broken by the one man who holds it.
Smooth, is a story full of love, finding each other and learning that acceptance and freedom to be the most authentic and true self you can be will always be the best version. To love freely, you must first know how to love yourself.
This book was HOT! Kent is my dude and Madison is my girl. I loved the way this story flowed and stayed on point. I actually felt the highs and lows of the relationship rollercoaster ride they went on. The way the author summed up everyone in the end was amazing. I may have hated Vic in previous books and felt Meg had no spine, but this one changed all that. Cassie saved the best for last and man was it good!
This story has enough drama that it could be turned into a TV soap opera! Madison is in a relationship that leaves her lacking. When Kent is introduced to her fiancé, he knows that what he feels for Madison is real and he can’t stand the man who is in his way. When Madison finds her fiancé in a compromising position it gives her the excuse to end things but will their ending be the beginning for her and Kent? When she finds out that his new adventure will put the center she volunteers out of a building, can they find away to be together after the betrayal she thinks he is a part of. This story has so many twists and turns that you can’t put this one down.

I loved reading Smooth: The Sons of Victor Black: A BWWM Romance because it was a such a fantastic book along with the others Cassie Verano has written about the Black Brothers. This series has Madison (Maddie) and Kent (KB) as best friends. Madison is engaged to Steve. Kent is a bit of player and doesn’t want to settle down. To say that Kent doesn’t like Maddie’s fiance is an understatement. But somewhere all in the middle of this flirting dance that Maddie and Kent are doing, they start to have feelings for each other and can’t keep their hands off each other. Their families are not liking that they are getting together and they make it very clear. Kent’s dad has been really mean throughout the whole series. He has never liked any of the women that his sons have chosen. But seeing this is the last of this series, the author does a fantastic way of tying up loose ends and writing what has happened to the characters in the other books and where there lives have led them. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest opinion. I Loved It!! The whole series is fantastic! I would personally recommend reading the series in order in order to understand the dynamics of what is happening in each book!!! Take a chance and read The Sons of Victor Black!!!
Do Best Friends Make the Best Lovers?
Kent and Madison meet when their siblings fall in love and get married. They immediately hit off and form a bond. He’s a player and she’s engaged. They are platonic best friends. Then years later, Kent starts to see Madison in a different light and he wants to be different for her. Knowing Kent and his reputation, she’s unsure if she should break off her long-term engagement or give Kent a real chance to prove he can be everything she wants and needs. This is one of my favorites from the series.

The author has again given us characters we can care about. Madison and Kent are best friends. However, they each realize that they want more. But, Madison is engaged to “Mr. Wrong” and Kent does not want to give up his “ladies’ man” lifestyle. Will they be able to overcome these obstacles?

Friends to lovers is one of my favorite tropes and #Smooth lives up to all the hype . Cassie Verano delivers the goods and then some!
Matter of fact, she made me hate as much as love some of these characters, is a true sign of a great writer .
There is so much drama between this cast that is was enthralled to the absolute very end . This is a page turner and I think you will thoroughly enjoy this book.
Enjoy.
Kent & Madison started off as best friend whose relationship quickly turned into something else. Maddie was engaged to a self-absorbed jerk, who Kent recognize didn’t value Madison’s worth.
Kent finally realizes, that he wants more with Madison, and he sets out to show her that she completely changed his way, by making him want more than just a friendship; see how all of this play out in the final installment of The Sons of Victor Black.
I received this copy in advance for an honest review, I do recommend this book, check out Kent’s Brothers books also.

I really enjoyed this series and this particular book was a great read
What can I say but Kent was indeed Smooth!!!
I loved the chemistry between him and Madison although I would’ve loved to have choked Madison’s sister because she was just too extra for me.
Kent proved that you can’t always judge a book by its cover.
