When Prince Harrison of San Majoria moved to the States for university, he wondered if he’d find an American to fall in love with.
He just didn’t expect a two-foot replica of his grandmother and her coronation gown to help him find the girl.
Lani refuses to hand off the heirloom replica to a foreigner who’s never seen a Maryland Heights Crimson Knights baseball game. He refuses to let her go to the next hand off alone.
She finds herself falling for him – until the actual former queen shows up in her hotel room and Lani discovers Harrison’s true identity.
That’s enough for her to walk away, because Small Town Girls Don’t Marry Secret Princes.
Unless an ancient law says she already has.

I really, really like Carol Moncado’s romances that have royals in them. You’ll want to read this one.
Excellent addition. I loved getting to hear what happened with characters we have met in previous books. This was great! I can’t wait for the next one!
Lani has agreed to help transport a miniature replica dress/doll and takes over another leg for someone who is ill when she meets Harry, who doesn’t know where to go for his leg. She decides to join him to show him where to go, and from there they both decide to make the whole journey. She doesn’t know who he is, just that she needs to be back home by a certain time to work on a movie adapted from her sister Madi’s book. As the story goes on, we get to see some familiar names, particularly among the Serenity Landing royalty as well as San Majoria. Lani’s parents and Madi also make appearances. Great, page turning story that doesn’t disappoint.
In her latest release, Ms. Moncado gives readers a sweet romantic story. This is the second book in the Beaches of Trumanville series (but can be read alone). This book focuses on Lani Beach who after a brief movie career comes home to live out of the limelight. She gets caught up in helping transport an heirloom through a request on social media. When she gets to her stop to pass it off, she is reluctant to just leave it with the next person. She teams up with Harrison to go together to pass the heirloom off. However, she doesn’t realize who Harrison really is. After some issues with an old law, Lani and Harrison find themselves having to get married. If you have followed Ms. Moncado’s other books, you will get to catch up with some of her previous characters in this book which was an added bonus. As the story continued, there were several obstacles that came before them. As you read this book, you will be caught up in a story that is unique with interesting twists throughout. The reader will enjoy this sweet romance including the secondary characters. I am looking forward to the next book in the series as well! I highly recommend you read this book and know you will not be disappointed!
Another great book by a great author. Fantastic book for longtime reader as it brings so many of her other characters into the scenes. A good weekend read sitting beside the pool of on the beach! (Or beside a nice toasty fire! )
I like the way the books Carol Moncado writes all intersect with each other and yet stand alone quite well. This new series taking place in a small town USA has been enjoyable.
I was given a copy of this book. I was not required to give a favorable review nor was any money received for this review. All comments and opinions are my own.
Great book as all of Carol Moncado’s books are. Loved the characters and the emotion throughout the book.
I always await a new Carol Moncado book with great excitement! I love her writings and this one is no exception. She delivers great, clean, fun romance!
I love the premise behind this book. Two strangers meet over a project online. It is so in tune with today’s world.
I adore that she has this new series (The Beeches of Trumanville) but we still visit with old familiar characters we love too!
Please do yourself a favor and become acquainted with this author and her characters. You won’t regret it!
Each time a new Carol Moncado book crosses my path, I think, “it can’t possibly be as good as the last one”, each time I am surprised at just how good it is. Small Town Girls Don’t Marry Secret Princes blends Trumanville’s Beach family with some of our favorite royalty. It kept me turning pages and forgetting what I was really supposed to be doing. A trip back to San Majoria gives a bit of an update on the whole family!
Another great book! I have loved getting to know the Beach family! And of course seeing some old favorites come back in the story is always great! I love the way this author interweaves the characters from her books! I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for my review but all thoughts and opinions are mine.
So whenever I pick up a Carol Moncado book I know I’ll be delighted and entertained during the whole time I read it. Well, the second book in the “Small Town Girls ” series keeps the tradition going.
I actually read this book in one day and was so delighted. It was full of fun interesting moments and also fun reconnections with many of the past characters from some of Ms. Moncado’s “Royal” series books.
I’ve never heard of people going on Facebook looking for quirky things found in flea markets. It sounds sort of interesting and fun! I’m not so sure I’d do a drive across the states, but who knows!
I love reading any book by Carol Moncado. Each one is so full of sweet relationships and wonderful images. Carol Moncado is a master storyteller!
If you LOVE reading stories that are entertaining, have fun adventures, and also has a bit of royalty and all that life can bring, then you really need to pick this book up and read it! You won’t be disappointed.
I was given this book by the publisher which did not influence my review in any way, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
Honestly, every new book Ms Moncado writes becomes one of my new favorites. Each story is full of fresh new adventures, twists and turns I didn’t see coming, and always, characters to love and cheer on. Lani and Prince Harrison’s story is no exception. “The End” always comes way too soon, and I am always excited to see what her next book holds in store!
Lani and Harrison met in such a unique way. Their attraction happened naturally but was sped up by unforeseen circumstances. I’ve come to expect fun twists that make Moncado’s books interesting and I’m never disappointed in the journey each couple takes to reach the HEA. I love catching up with past main characters and I’m looking forward to more of the Beache siblings.
*I was given an arc but these are my own true thoughts*
Carol Moncado knows how to write stories about fictional royalty. I don’t know how she keeps it all straight but somehow she does. I’ve read all of them and I sometimes have trouble keeping them all straight. Seriously, she does a fine job here and I recommend this book very much.
*My thanks to the author for a preview copy of this book. The opinion here is my own.
Carol Moncado has more fun with forgotten royal decrees, conniving politicians, and other interesting plot twists to keep you on the edge of your seat. If you’ve read other Moncado books, you’ll recognize quite a few old friends from those books, along with getting acquainted with new ones who quickly find a spot in your heart. Her books are great for forgetting the pressures of your own life for awhile, but they’re not shallow or silly. Her characters grow and mature as they weather all the plot twists. I’m ready for the next one!
