I don’t give a fuck. Not about money or fame, beauty or power. I’ve had all those things since birth, and trust me, they’re a fucking snooze. I don’t give a fuck about anyone, not even myself. I’ll do it all.

Well hell! I didn’t see all those twists coming. Hot Damn you’re really going to enjoy Rush and his dirty talking mouth. Gianna killed it, she has given the series a new life line.. This is undoubtedly my favorite in the series to date..
Wow! What a read! This book will pull you in so much that you can’t read it fast enough to see what happens next. Buckle up for a WILD ride and so many twist that you don’t see coming! Be ready to read this all in one sitting because you won’t be able to put it down!
Rush Dempsey never cared about anyone or anything until a life-defining moment pushed him towards a path he couldn’t come back from. His position in The Elite served a specific purpose which led to Isabelle Savoie and the beating heart of the secret society.
In past books, I liked how Sloth was “the chill one”. Here we learned about what he’s been doing when no one was paying attention. I liked the pairing with Isabelle, but I thought she turned around too quickly.
I have to say I struggled during most parts of the book. There wasn’t much going on and there’s lack of conflict between the main characters. The blasphemous element was a nice addition but wasn’t impactful – at least not when it came to the main characters.
I also felt some of the scenes were disjointed because the series timelines were not distinctively established within the story. As for the story itself, I was very upset about a certain thing that happened due to lack of rationale.
Sloth is the penultimate book of The Elite Seven series. From the preview at the end of this book, I’m really hoping the series will end with a bang.
Note: #TeamEnvy
Sloth such a deep and difficult sin to understand. I have had so much fun with this series, traversing the 7 deadly sins!! I am excited and sad that we only have one more sin to explore in this riveting adventure. This series is dark and sexy, twisted and crazy. I honestly never know where the authors are taking us. I feel like I got into a car and someone took of going 120 miles an hour and I can’t get out. This series written by this group of authors had been brilliant. This is the story of Rush and Isabelle and these two are like dry kindling set on fire. It’s so intense and I wasn’t expecting Sloth to be so swoony and incredible!! If you haven’t read this series yet you need to make this a binge read!! It’s incredible!!
I’ve never been so… obsessed? infatuated? Fixated on a series in my life and Sloth drew me deeper into the dark web of The Elite Seven world.
Rush, true to his namesake, took me for a ride that sent a thrill through my whole being. The perfect contradiction, always aware regardless of the sin given to him, however his patiences is construed as laziness, when in reality he is 3 steps ahead and enjoying a joint while he waits for you to catch up. He is his own religion, and his alter of worship is the “innocent” church mouse, Isabella. She is the perfect follower, never looking beyond what is shoved down her throat, till Rush shows her a good time. Rush and Isabella are the epitome of the yin and yang of darkness and light. He shows her the dirty while taking the light into his soul to anchor himself, where she gives selflessly to him and indulges in the dark side of passion.
Another perspective of the brotherhood is shown through Sloth’s eyes, and we move even farther towards a violent but highly anticipated end! Plus… SOOO MANY QUESTIONS ANSWERED! I am so ready to see how Greed will wrap this up, but also am not ready for it to be over yet. The conflict is real within me.
If you have been following this series, you DON’T want to miss Sloth.
In this 6th book of the series, we follow Sloth. What do we learn about him? We get to see why he acts the way he does. Of course, it broke my heart to see why he resorts to doing what he did/does. What is his home life like? Who is Isabelle Savoie? Who is her father/ What happens when the good times roll? Oh holy smokes! When I had to stop reading, I rushed through what I needed to do in order to get back to reading this book. I did not want to put it down! This story was beyond what I expected! I cannot wait to see what happens in Greed…. To Brotherhood!!!!!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
Sloth is simply stunning and blew my perception of sin, and purity, out of the water!
When Rush is told what he must do to join the Elite he doesn’t hesitate in order to find out who is actually responsible for what happened to his mother, but once he meets Isabelle he changes his mind almost immediately. Isabelle challenges his perception of beauty and purity on every level, and makes him re-think his denial of a supreme being.
Eventually Rush must save Isabelle from those she should have always been safe with, but then again they are the Elite: corrupt and prideful to the core.
When Rush and his brothers come to the final conclusion, will they survive, or will the generation before them perservere?
I don’t really care about anything. Not about money or fame, beauty or power, I’ve had all those things since birth, trust me they are a snooze. I don’t care about anyone, not even myself. Sloth is the sixth book in the Elite Seven Series. I highly recommend that you go back and start with Lust and read through to this book if you have just now discovered this series. DO NOT start with Sloth or your going to be lost. While each book is the story of a different character they are all interconnected with the even bigger story and the pieces are still trying to falling into place. I have loved every book in this series and Sloth is not different.
Sloth is the story of Rush Dempsey or as he is known in the Elite Seven, Sloth. He has been a mystery to us all through pretty much this entire series so I was so excited to get. I didn’t know exactly know what to expect from him. He is the quieter of the group and just really doesn’t give a flip about anything or anyone. What I discovered is that he is twisted and so smoking hot. This book like all the others, is filled with twists and turns that you never see coming. I have no earthly idea how everything is going to pull together and this series end. I will tell you that Rush is a dirty talker and he and Isabelle have some seriously amazing chemistry. I don’t want to give anything away about the story line. But you will get some answers and still have some questions. I am so ready for Greed but on the other hand I am going to be super sad to see this amazing series end. It has been such a fun ride.
Sloth by Giana Darling is book 6 in The Elite Seven series. This is Rush Dempsey aka Sloth and Isabelle Savoie’s story.
I don’t know where to start with my review but let me just say this book will blow you away. This book connects the dots and answers questions for this series and I loved it. Sloth and Isabelle made a great couple – He was the take charge alpha type while she was submissive and innocent all the way- so sweet and beautiful. They were each other’s ying and yang. The plot is a delicious, dark treat that has the reader fully immersed in the storytelling. As always, there are twists and turns, angst, gritty moments, drama, steamy, intense , suspenseful, and romantic scenes that had me feeling this story from start to end. I enjoyed reading this book and can’t wait to read more from this author and this series.
My Rating: 4.5 stars ******
If you have not started The Elite Seven series then start now!!! I have been waiting for Rush Dempsey’s story since the beginning and I knew G Darling would slay it. Not only did she do that, but she served him up on a platter and had me licking out of his hands.
This book is everything I love about dark romance – it pushed me outside of my comfort zone, made me fall for the tortured and apathetic hero, had me gasping during every steamy scene and wanting to participate in every devious act. G Darling writes like a poet and she delivered a beautifully broken sinner and a saint wrapped up in the dark world of The Elite. You all need Rush “Sloth” Dempsey in your world. 5 HOT and DEVILISH !!
Oooh! I’ve been waiting for this story. Deception is the name of the game with Sloth. It may look like Rush is slothful when in fact he’s brilliant and sexy and the mastermind behind taking down the Elite’s evil old guard and getting justice for an old transgression. Sloth is sorely under estimated by almost everyone but the sweet and pure Isabelle. She sees behind his facade to the real man and she can’t resist his pull although the evil Elite have other plans for her. One look at Isabelle and Sloth/Rush has to have her purity and light to counter his darkness. It took me awhile to warm up to their fast romance but their hot chemistry and Isabelle’s wonderfully personality won me over. They have a sweet and sexy connection that was awe inspiring. This story answered a lot of questions with heart breaking results and helped take down the ones that deserved it. Love that the brotherhood strengthens with each story and along with the fabulous Holy Virtues (the E7’s women) that makes a family. I still want to know what happened to Evie, Pride’s sister. Can’t wait for the Greed! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC.
4.5 Cranky Stars
I was so excited for Sloth and Giana Darling didn’t disappoint bringing his story to life. He just always seems to be around and willing to help anyone out and he oddly knows a lot about the workings of the brotherhood despite being very blasé about it.
Rush Dempsey AKA Sloth only joined the Elite Seven to have an inside look to take them down. His father is part of the elite organization and Rush believes he had a hand in the death of his mother. Rush and Ward never got along because Ward viewed him as the “lazy” son who was babied his whole life. When he was given his task and that was to get the quiet church mouse Isabelle Savoie out the way so the elite can take down the Archbishop Savoie Rush didn’t expect the quiet virginal girl to spark his interest. Now armed with a purpose and the perfect girl he will take the Elite down at any cost.
Isabelle Savoie was groomed in the church. She lived by her fathers’ word and the word of the holy book. She wasn’t really allowed any outside friends or influences. If she stepped out of line, she had to pay for her sins. When her father tells her, she needs to attend this dinner with someone very influential she doesn’t realize what her father intends to do. She turns to Rush to rescue and corrupt her to make her less attractive to the wrong person. Isabelle is about to enter a world like she has never seen and fall for the boy everyone seems to covet yet fear.
Oh my god!! Rush Dempsey YES! I like that he was just a shadow always around, but he was gathering information. The way this whole book played out made so much sense but I’m curious to see how Greed will play out. Also, that ending!!! I just love how Sloth would show up for any of his brothers. I felt so bad for Isabelle and I was so glad she found an avenging angel in Rush. I’m sad to see this series come to a close. Only one more story……
Oh Emm Geee!!! Giana Darling you slayed this! Sloth is the BEST of the Elite Seven series yet! I know I normally rant and rave and seriously ramble. I can’t find it in me to do this for Sloth… there’s so many twists and turns in this book I’ll for sure spill some good details! I’m thrilled with the insane sexual tension between Rush and Isabelle. These two were stronger together than separate and they excelled together.
I haven’t felt like I’ve really gotten to know Rush so I’ve been really excited about his story. And good God was his story fabulous! Darling had me feeling panic and some crazy tension. As we wind down on the 7 deadly sins series, the shit starts to get real. Sloth is slick with tension, danger is on every page. Darling gave us one of my favorite storylines of the entire series. We have lies and deceit coming out of the woodworks left and right. It left me feeling!
I received an ARC of this book with the hope that I would leave an Unbiased Opinion. I was not required to leave a review, positive or otherwise, and my opinions are just that… my opinions.
This series has been so completely captivating so far that saying I had been eagerly waiting for this book is a huge understatement. Rush who was given the identity of Sloth in The Elite Seven, was definitely a mystery that I wanted to see solved. He’s a hacker and coder, loves to smoke marijuana, and seems to be unhurried and far too chill. We definitely find out he’s been underestimated, and wow, did he have everyone fooled. Who knew a dirty talking alpha was hiding in Sloth this whole time?!
Isabelle is virginal church mouse, the Archbishop’s daughter, and part of Rush’s task. She may appear meek and mild, but there’s an underlying strength hiding under that facade. She’s the light to his darkness…a yin and yang that works.
Fighting against cruelty and evil, not only do Rush and Isabelle find a bond, but the brotherhood of The Elite Seven becomes stronger, darker and deadlier. Although I expect the unexpected in this series, the twists and turns still blew me away!
The sinners, the holy virtues, the tasks, the revenge unlike anything we’ve seen yet, the passion, and the incredibly hot and steamy scenes kicked this whole series up a notch. The ending is nothing short of jaw dropping and intense, which has me wanting the next and final book ASAP!
Sloth (The Elite Seven #6) by Giana Darling tells Rush Dempsey aka Sloth’s story. He has been the one brother who seems to be in the shadows when needed. His life has been a secret throughout the other books and we don’t know much about him. We finally learn who he is and why he is part of The Elite. Sloth is the son of the senator who is a member of The Elite. We learn that Rush’s mother’s death is a direct result of The Elite. He has decided to not only join The Elite but destroy them. His task is to defile the daughter of the Archbishop and the church. This task is the catalyst to secrets revealed and lives destroyed. I love Rush. His name definitely doesn’t fit his name. He maybe a pothead but he has it going on. This story answered some questions, tied up some loose ends but left me with one big question. How!!!!!! There was so much going on in the story. I especially liked the relationship between the girls. A 4 star read. One more book and the series will be over. Really going to miss these guys. I really would love to continue to read more about them. Hate to see them go.
“Brothers over sin.
The message was clear: No. One. Fucks. With. My. Brothers.”
Goosemotherfuckingbumps.
GIANA DARLING KILLED IT!!! She brought all the twisted pieces together, threw down the gauntlet, and cemented the brotherhood. Outstanding addition to The Elite Series. I was hooked from the very start. This is book six, Guys, make sure you’ve read the other books first.
Sweet Jesus, Sloth is ! I’m not one for lusting after the youngins, but I couldn’t help myself. I stole that cradle and laughed all the way to hell. Dirty talking, panty melting, heart snatcher. Ah. I need him to take me to church to repent.
“I can be your God, darlin’, but my religion is about worshipping every inch of your body and having you pray at mine.”
Is it hot in here? Where’s my vagina fan when I need it. Ok, so. On to the story. Rush is hot. Okay. I’m done. This book dives into every dark crevice, reaching in and grabbing all the answers we so desperately want and need. This series has been a huge mystery since the first book, tons of unanswered madness, manipulation, revenge, and definitely sorrow. Sloth’s book is like the knockout punch. Made me want to jump up and yell at the top of my lungs. YOU FUCKED UP NOW! I was all kinds of hyped up, on cloud ten, watching all the beautiful destruction happen. I absolutely loved every single moment of this one. I think Giana Darling added all the right emotions and punches to quench our thirst. An amazing addition to The Elite Seven!
From what we had seen so far from Rush he appeared to be laidback and casual, but he is so much more than that. He was content to sit back and learn from what the other members of the Elite had experienced so that he did not repeat their mistakes. We learn more about his background which gives us a better understanding of the man.
Isabelle is the Archbishop’s daughter who has always conformed to the expectations of others, but she is tired of being a pawn and wants to take control of her own life and choices and believes Rush can make that happen.
Dark and twisty this story takes you a wild adventure filled with secrets, lies and revenge. Isabelle and Rush had a great connection and chemistry, but I also liked how the brothers came together. Some questions were answered, more questions raised, and it leaves us wanting the next book in this series.
Wow this book was awesome. Sloth is the 6th book in the Elite series and I could not put it down. While I did not read every book in this series I was easily able to follow along with the story line. With all the twists and turn and secrets being revealed I was hooked from start to finish. It was dark and angsty violent and mysterious. I loved Rush and Isabelle together. Their scenes were hot and steamy but the chemistry was there from the start and I loved their sweet interactions with each other.
This story was so much more than I expected. It was intense, gripping and captivating. Definitely worthy of a 5 star status I loved it and would highly recommend it.
Rating: 4.5 Stars
Ms. Darling includes a warning. If you have sensitivities in regards to certain subjects, this may not be the book for you. My one piece of advice to you would be to not start the series here. This current book to the Elite Seven series has a great deal of shock value to it but it all builds from the stories that came before.
Different authors write all the books in this series. The only exception is the last book combines the creativity of two of the authors. Maybe you follow one, a few, or even all of them. Or maybe you want to check out six new authors that you’ve never read before. They will not disappoint.
Rush Dempsey has had his share of pain. His father has power but it’s still not enough. It was interesting to see what task our author came up with for Rush – in part you’ve been warned. Isabelle Savoie has also had her share of pain. She has a parent that uses his power for more than what it should be used for. It’s what happens with these four people that you will understand why a warning was needed.
It took me six books to finally hear what these authors were trying to tell me. These men may have been given a task that must be completed but instead they’ve found the person that will bring them salvation. They may be young but they seem older in other ways. For Rush, he stood up and protected an innocent person and found something he never expected – sounds like real life. And if you’ve followed this from the beginning you will be enlightened by what gets disclosed but shocked by the outcome. It will be interesting to see what Greed has in store for me. I’m sad because I know it will be the end but I’ve discovered a lot of great authors and hopefully their stories will never end.
I was not compensated nor was I required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own.
Sloth!!!!! Omgosh Rush is fire, is hot, is sexy, is EVERYTHING!!!! Giana you are so amazingly brilliant!!!!!! YESSSS!!!!!!!
