I don’t give a fuck. Not about money or fame, beauty or power. I’ve had all those things since birth, and trust me, they’re a fucking snooze. I don’t give a fuck about anyone, not even myself. Until my father proves evil can exist in the most holy of places. For the first time ever, something like interest stirs in my soul.He wants me to enroll at St. Augustine. Join The Elite. Court the virginal … Elite.
Court the virginal daughter of Archbishop Savoie.
Prove that I’m worth the family name?
I’ll do it all.
And I’ll do it so well, no one will know what’s coming.
People are so quick to underestimate the wicked and lazy.
They forget idle hands are the best tools for the devil’s work.
I am Rush Dempsey.
I am Sloth.

This series is incredible. The characters are awesome and their stories are so deliciously wicked. Giana Darling’s contribution of Sloth is one of my favorites. Rush Dempsey is an enigma in previous books. In Sloth, his true nature unfolds…and I love him! His task is to defile church mouse Isabelle and bring down part of The Elite, but Isabelle isn’t as mousy as she seems at first glance, and Rush is intrigued.
Their story is sexy and suspenseful, graphic and intense. It was a fast-paced read, and I hated for it to end! Giana Darling has an enviable talent for writing and that talent shines in Sloth. 5 stars!
Sloth as knocked it out of the park. A lot of my questions were answered and more were raised. Rush aka Sloth is definitely yummy and his connection with Isabelle was intense for sure. She is the light to his dark.
I found myself wanting to fight the battles right along side with him. And I my heart also broke for him with his is father treated him. Sloth is everything I wanted from this series.
A new generation of Elite who embody their sin while balancing right and wrong.
Definitely can’t wait for the final installment of this series to see how it ends.
This is the 6th book in the Elite series this is Rush’s story or Sloth and Isabella the lady who’s going to steal his heart.
This was a fantastic story by Giana and one that kept you flipping pages just to see what happened next and holy smokes those hot as hell dirty dirty sexy times will make you want to go to confessional
This is a must read and If you’ve been reading these stories in the series you won’t want to miss this one.
This is just my opinion and my review.
“I was a faithless soul, with blasphemous thoughts and a sacrilegious goal.”
Corruption, perversion, and limitless power.
How do you make the sin sloth sexy and alluring? Rush Dempsey, that’s how. At first glance, he’s apathetic, indifferent, and unmoved, however like all of our sinful boys, he’s anything but. Giana Darling delivers another impossibly seductive and deviant hero in SLOTH. Rush existed ambiguously in the back ground of the series, and little did we know that he would be such a compelling character! Driven by tragedy and seeking the truth, he’s cunning, complex, and ruthless. He’s a man on an impossible mission, and he’ll need all of his brothers to bring down the Elite.
The Elite Seven series continues to get better and better! Expect more of the unexpected, jaw-dropping revelations, and so many twists. Prepare yourself for an intense connection, heat for days, and a little revenge. You can’t miss this series! One-click the Elite Seven today! Enjoy xo
Excellent! Rush Dempsey was captivating in his quest to bring down The Elite. This story was such a page turner and ramped the series up toward the last book we’ve been waiting for. I loved the twists and the redemption of every single sinner because even though they’ve done bad acts…these guys aren’t evil. They are more like avenging angels razing through a corrupt organization. I can’t wait for Micah’s book.
Sloth is yummy! I’ve been wanting to really meet this guy once I started seeing him in action in all of the other books. Who was this dude who always appeared right when his brothers needed someone? Who was this man who happened to know a lot more than everyone else? And what made him tick? I love Sloth, his motivations, his passions, and his huge change of heart.
She looked breakable; a China doll. Something a callous man could break easily in his rough, strong hands.
I licked my lips thinking about doing just that.
He comes across as indolent and irreverent, but there is so much hiding beneath the surface. He’s brilliant, compassionate, fiercely protective, and incredibly sexy. Isabelle is a lucky girl. Every beautiful thing about Rush was there for the taking, waiting for someone to come along and bring them out, and this stunning woman with a heart of gold was the answer. She’s the light to his dark, the saint to his sinner, and the perfect complement to his soul.
I could live there in that kiss, plundering that silken mouth, tasting the sunny essence of her on my tongue.
I wanted to fight every battle with Rush. I cheered for every one of his triumphs and can’t wait for him to truly overcome every hardship and heartbreak he’s ever had to deal with. He and his brothers more than deserve a happy ending and I’m so happy he’s got such a fantastic girl by his side.
There was something about the bad boy across from me that called out to my soul.
I just had to be brave enough to call back to his.
The story of The Elite has become even more complex than I could have imagined and while we get a ton of answers and revelations in this book, it’s easy to see that there is so much more to come. The biggest foes have fallen, but one evil stain still remains. With one banger of an ending, I can’t wait to see how this series concludes with Greed!
Mind games, power plays, mystery, vengeance… Well done, Giana Darling!
The parts to this puzzle are coming together and Rush has proven that he’s much more involved than would be assumed. Isabelle is the perfect balance for him! I loved Rush’s thoughts:
“A man with knowledge was a man with power.”
“I was a faithless soul with blasphemous thoughts and a sacrilegious goal.”
“I liked the way she settled something restless in my soul while animating factions of it I thought were long dead.”
OMG, this book was sooooo good!!! So many twists and turns, the Elite Seven just keep getting better and better! The chemistry between Rush and Isabella was explosive!
I have loved every single book I’ve ever read by Giana Darling, and they just seem to get better with each one I read. I love her writing style and storytelling, and just the way she always seems to be able to spin each story, which makes you not want to put it down until you’ve finished it!
This one, as with all that I’ve read by her, is a must read!
This one had a bit of insta-love which I wasn’t loving. I wished we had more time for them to develop. This is why it is 4 stars and not 5. But other than that tidbit the development of the romance was great. Another super sweet romance for the series, only this one has involves steamy scenes. I will definitely check out this author. Other than the length, which is common throughout the series, the writing is awesome and I am interested to see what else she has put out. Crazy book with a lot of answers. Definitely moving into the end of the series. Envy and Sab’s story gets an ending and I am so excited to see what Greed will have for us!
Every book in this series gets better than the last. Darker than the last. And quite frankly more wacky than the last. NOW I NEED THE LAST ONE.
Rush Dempsey doesn’t care about much in life except finding out the truth about what killed his mother. He knows that the secret society, The Elite has something to do with it. It isn’t until his father mentions that Rush is a candidate for the very same group that he is compelled to do something again. Rush knows that getting into to The Elite will be the only way to destroy it. His task to become a member of the group is to desecrate Archbishop Savoie’s daughter, Isabelle on the alter of the church. Rush’s task becomes easy when Isabelle is pushed into her hands and taking down The Elite is in sight. No one expects the laziest member of the group to have planned so carefully.
Sloth is the sixth book in The Elite Seven series. Sloth brings together a lot of the previous stories, so I would definitely recommend reading the rest of the series first. Rush is motivated from the very beginning to end The Elite and expose their secrets. His character, from the outside seems like to least likely to do so, however; Sloth is just a cover for patience. I enjoyed Rush’s relationship with Isabelle and the fact that it didn’t seemed forced or even too tied to his task. The romance is sweet and sexy with plenty of steamy scenes. Isabelle was courageous on her own and I was glad that she was able to use Rush to get out from under her father. For a book about Sloth, this installment was really action packed as Rush and his brothers begin to bring down The Elite. I was impressed at how well all of the stories have fit together so far and can’t wait to see if Rush’s plan will work in the last book, Greed.
This book was not at all what I expected. I had no idea that these books all intertwined with one another. It was suggested by other readers to read this series in order, but I felt that G did a fantastic job of filling you in on the Elite’s backstory.
Each book covers one of the 7 deadly sins that are assigned to each generation of an elite group. If you’re into corrupted societal family rings and an H with a vendetta against the mission of his forefathers …then look no further. You’ve found your next binge worthy series.
So we are now at Book 6 in the Elite Seven….yes the end is near, which I’m very sad about. This series is fast becoming one of my favourites. When you think the previous book in the series was your favourite, the next one comes out and that’s now your favourite! Sloth aka Rush has been pretty elusive in the previous books, keeping a distance in the background, smoking his weed…but he’s always been there for his brothers. We do get some background history into why he wants to become part of The Elite and we do get more unanswered questions and delve deeper into this epic saga.
Rush is an absolute “dirty talkin” darlin! I loved him so much and I really enjoyed Giana’s writing, it was fabulous, drawing you in from the first page. We get two epilogues, so expect a bit of a cliffy…..eeek bring on Greed!
Well done Giana!
A tragic and chilling beginning and a true plot for revenge started this sixth installment of the Elite Seven series. I was hooked and dying to see where things would go next.
It was a wild ride from start to finish, and I was on the edge of my seat through much of the drama. Darling wrote an incredible story.
The ending left me with even more questions as I prepare to begin the last book. This series has been intense and amazing. I don’t want it to end, but I need to see how it will.
This is an amazing series that you wont want to end. Sloth is so not his name but he intends to do what he must to find out the truth of the elite his mother and other disturbing stuff that he finds and to avenge his brothers and their woman who have been affected by it it all he will bring them down with his brothers help. His church mouse is so quiet and nothing like the other woman but in her own way she is strong and once given the confidence she can stand up to her father to. I loved this series so much cant wait for book 7 the final book.
I have loved all of these books, and Sloth was no different. We are finally getting more information on the Elite and man what a dirty and dark secret it is. Which if you have read the other books it shouldn’t surprise you at all.
In Sloth, we get Rush and a beautifully sweet girl Isabelle who is a church mouse. These two are as opposite as could be. But love will always find a way even when you have evil like these people around you.
I loved this book; I am having a hard time deciding which one is my favorite.
We are back with book #6 in the Elite 7 with Sloth aka Rush and his roll during all the craziness in this twisted secret society series! I loved the writing and the story line and so a lot became clear during this book. I really liked this book along with the others in this series and I’m so ready to dive in to the next one!!
This was not my favorite of the series but it did answer a lot of questions and leave more that need answers. I thought Sloth was a unique character compared to the other sins as he wasn’t as physical. He worked his magic in his own way . I love his tenacity. The whole protect your brothers theme throughout the series is something that I enjoyed carried through. When Rush and Isabella hook up you know it is the perfect relationship light and dark. Each of the dark sins so far (except Envy) have found their light. I was glad to see Sabella again. Can not wait for the last sin Greed.
Always the one in the background. Sloth gets his task and it seems simple. Until he meets his mark. His dad gets in the way and ish gets real. It was an interesting read. Didn’t think church mouse had it in her. Now that I know so much, I can’t wait to see the ending!
I enjoyed book 6 like I enjoyed the others in this series. These “bad” boys with their sins are impossible not to love. I’m into this brotherhood and their ladies! An easy interesting read that adds another layer and gives one more piece to the puzzle. I like that I don’t have to really work for this series because the characters and the themes are straight forward and laid out for you. I can’t wait for book 7 and the conclusion.
