***Book 1 of a 4 book series.***Stephan Coleman knows what his future holds as the president of a not-for-profit foundation and he knows what he wants out of life. All that changes when a simple lunch with his college friend, mentor, and fellow Dominant, Daren, leads him to buying a slave. Thrust into a situation he never thought he’d be in, Stephan can’t walk away. He is compelled to help this … compelled to help this girl in the only way he knows how.
Brianna knows only one thing: she is a slave. She has nothing. She is nothing.
Can Stephan help Brianna realize that she is much more than just a slave?

A realistic portrayal of the psychological damage inflicted by the human sex trade. A gut-wrenching indictment of the horrible cost to the victims’ sense of self.
The story line was promising but I found the way it unfurled frustrating. What the main female character went through was appalling and damaging but she came across as almost whiny, making me less sympathetic and more annoyed. While her rescuer was a very intelligent man, he didn’t do something as obvious as getting her professional help in addition to his own brand of assistance. Lots of potential that was not realized. .
Twisted with spice
I found this book to be predictable and quite boring. That is a death knoll for bdsm books. The dialogue seems repetative and the characters are like cardboard cutouts. The story seemed far fetched and I kept wondering, ” If this girl has been so traumatized, why isbn’t she getting some professional help.” Not a good read at all. Then the proverbial ending which tells you to buy another book to find out what happens. Nope, not buying it.
It was very haunting, that made you cringe at the thought that sex slave are a real threat. I keep turning the page to see what stress level she was going to have to deal with next. Well written.
Did not like this book at all. I wouldn’t bother purchasing the other books in this series…it didn’t draw me in to the storyline. It’s a depressing and disgusted plot.
OK – I do care for the abused slave the genre, but as a change from this, it’s a nice story about a guy who saves a really abused sex slave who has a lot of PTSD from that life. The slave is poorly defined – at times she knows her history and seems quite competent, then at others, the author writes as if she lived in a void her whole life, lacking knowledge of the most basic things about life. Its also a cliffhanger, which I hate. I feel that book 2 would just be more of the same – some healing, then some stupid illogical steps back into darkness. Not a consistent story. It’s also kinda creepy that the girl is just 18 and the guy is in his 30’s.
Bri is a slave and Stephan saves her. She can’t trust nor fall for the false intentions people show. She believes in her master and becomes more of herself that what she was. It’s a love that won’t die.
Book is not for the faint hearted. Ana’s recovery was slow and emotionally
Painful. Still a great red
Interesting premise but the pace was a little slow
I truly loved this book. It was hard to read as in pulling at your heart strings. I can relate to a lot of this book. I ended up buying the complete series by the time it was said and done.
Not my usual read, but it was decent.
The characters were not very developed.
poor
I originally got from Amazon as a free kindle E book and let me tell you I couldn’t put it down and ended up buying all 3 other books in the set. It is about the story of a Wealthy Man young in years that enjoys the BDSM lifestyle and only plays with willing participants, until Stephan hears from his Mentor about a young Brianna who is being held unwilling in an abusive sexual slavery situation. Stephan feels compelled to save this girl and goes and buys her from her cruel master and the rest of the book deals with building trust and trying to help her integrate with a calm gentle environment and overcome her trauma from being with Master Ian. Stephan Desires Brianna, but comes to Love her and with patience and affection , structure and communication he begins to process of helping her with her panic attacks from situations of flashbacks and Stephan little by little try’s to help see she is a human not a mindless drone and eventually he lets her know she is not a slave and is free to leave but he doesn’t want her to ever leave and eventually wants her to be his submissive as they overcome her fears
Made me read the rest of the series, made me emotional
An interesting concept, compelling enough to want the next chapter
It’s an easy read. I actually thought this book great. I bought the next book in the series but haven’t been able to finish it. I feel like the second book is just a repeat of the first. Idk I need to try and finish the second book. Smh
It’s a different kind of book, I don’t usually read this kind of book. I will read the series.
Technically a self contained book but, the ending leaves you needing more. It was a good story. I’d recommend it but say plan on wanting to get more of the books in the series.
