From #1 Bestselling author Morgan Rice comes a sweeping new fantasy series.
17 year old Ceres, a beautiful, poor girl in the Empire city of Delos, lives the harsh and unforgiving life of a commoner. By day she delivers her father’s forged weapons to the palace training grounds, and by night she secretly trains with them, yearning to be a warrior in a land where girls are forbidden to fight. With her pending sale to slavehood, she is desperate.
18 year old Prince Thanos despises everything his royal family stands for. He abhors their harsh treatment of the masses, especially the brutal competition—The Killings—that lies at the heart of the city. He yearns to break free from the restraints of his upbringing, yet he, a fine warrior, sees no way out.
When Ceres stuns the court with her hidden powers, she finds herself wrongfully imprisoned, doomed to an even worse life than she could imagine. Thanos, smitten, must choose if he will risk it all for her. Yet, thrust into a world of duplicity and deadly secrets, Ceres quickly learns there are those who rule, and those who are their pawns. And that sometimes, being chosen is the worst that can happen.
SLAVE, WARRIOR, QUEEN tells an epic tale of tragic love, vengeance, betrayal, ambition, and destiny. Filled with unforgettable characters and heart-pounding action, it transports us into a world we will never forget, and makes us fall in love with fantasy all over again.

Great read.
I didn’t like this book. I am interested in sci-fi and fantasy, not romance novels.
Book 1 is so good to that I had to purchase the second as soon as I finished the first. Book 1 definitely kept me on my toes because the plot wasn’t predictable.
Still reading all the follow on books. 13 of them. I’m on #8. All of them are good so far.
I think this book is good for young adults. The characters are good but could be a little more developed. I didnt completely connect. I did like the fact that the characters make stupid decisions and have tragic outcomes. This makes the book more realistic. The whole series spans a little longer than necessary in my opinion but overall. A decent read.
Too much something good happens, no, it is destroyed. Over and over.
good read , fast moving and unpredictable. looking forward to the next book.
Always love a good heroine!
A very quick read. Kept my attention and fun
Fast-paced and well-plotted but ultimately for the “younger set.” The setting is a curious mixture of ancient Rome and medieval Europe: the characters wear tunics and togas but walk around in a “castle” with stained-glass windows. Lots of clichéd dialogue about freedom and liberating the people from tyranny. Not very demanding of the reader, but reasonable escape fiction.
Awesome!!!
i liked the book it was easy to read and kept me going. For the most part it is unpredictable along with some scheming and back stabbing going on. A touch of romance that is intertwined with the plot. It is more action packed and adventurous. For how well the book went I felt the ending really was a little flat, I expected a few more questions answered … but in all it is a good read.
I read the Whole Series it was INCREDIBLE & ADDICTIVE AS HELL i cried at the end because it was over Hopefull the Author will eventually go forward with the children. One can only hope
I got this book first, and at the time I didn’t read it. I started reading when I realized I got the 2nd book of the series. I started reading and now I can’t put it down!!
The author needs an editor. Period. Story kept me interested until the end, but the writing had me rolling my eyes. Can’t give this more than one star.
Morgan Rice. Her stuff always seems to me like it was written by a precocious 11 year old…..
This book had you turing the page after page. It also had you sitting on the edge of your seat as you read. A great author as well.
I really got into this book. I could not stop . Read it in two sittings and had to get the next book just to find out what happens
Easy flow to the writing, good character development, great adventure.
Couldn’t, get off the ground with this. Kind of juvenile.
