From #1 Bestselling author Morgan Rice comes a sweeping new fantasy series.
17 year old Ceres, a beautiful, poor girl in the Empire city of Delos, lives the harsh and unforgiving life of a commoner. By day she delivers her father’s forged weapons to the palace training grounds, and by night she secretly trains with them, yearning to be a warrior in a land where girls are forbidden to fight. With her pending sale to slavehood, she is desperate.
18 year old Prince Thanos despises everything his royal family stands for. He abhors their harsh treatment of the masses, especially the brutal competition—The Killings—that lies at the heart of the city. He yearns to break free from the restraints of his upbringing, yet he, a fine warrior, sees no way out.
When Ceres stuns the court with her hidden powers, she finds herself wrongfully imprisoned, doomed to an even worse life than she could imagine. Thanos, smitten, must choose if he will risk it all for her. Yet, thrust into a world of duplicity and deadly secrets, Ceres quickly learns there are those who rule, and those who are their pawns. And that sometimes, being chosen is the worst that can happen.
SLAVE, WARRIOR, QUEEN tells an epic tale of tragic love, vengeance, betrayal, ambition, and destiny. Filled with unforgettable characters and heart-pounding action, it transports us into a world we will never forget, and makes us fall in love with fantasy all over again.
Book #2–ROGUE, PRISONER, PRINCESS–is also available!

Was an easy read but I felt like I didn’t finish the book, it was just ended and there needed to be more. Other than that the characters and story line was good.
Again. A Morgan Rice winner of a book! Strong characters with gripping quests and challenges. Gritty and captivating.
What a crap book. I liked the imagination the worldbuilding, but the writing was pure crap. Don’t waste your time with this one.
Different fantasy book
anything Ann Rice is awesome
i hate a book that doesn’t finish what it starts
Easy to read, good (though somewhat predictable) characters and storyline. I am looking forward to reading the next book in the series.
So good I fly through the pages and immediately ordered the next books in the series
I like the book. Different story like .can’t wait till the next book
Great female lead with gritty action.
There are no words to describe this book
The pace is fast and the characters apparently fall in love just as quickly. Superficial without a lot of character development. I have the 2nd book to read but not sure if I’m committed enough.
I loved this book!
Morgan Rice is amazing storyteller, and there is excitement from beginning to end.
There were a lot of grammatical errors, including misspelling her own character’s name.
This is the first book that I read by Morgan Rich! This book was so wonderful and so interesting and so enthralling that I have since decided to read every book that Morgan Rich has ever written!
couldn’t stop reading
I don’t think I finished it. If you love the same plot with different names and places, then Morgan Rice is the author for you!
What a book! Was hooked immediately and couldn’t put the book down except for sleep. Once I finished this book I immediately searched for the next book and was so happy to find it on my public library’s digital collection. Hope I can find the rest of the books in the series as well at my library.
First of all, loved this storyline. It’s a cross between roman and tudor times.
The main character, Ceres, has come from a terrible lifestyle with her mother treating her poorly and selling her the second she can for luxury items. Ceres, however, does not wish that upon herself and so she takes her life in her own hands and defends herself. She finds herself on the run and eventually working as a weapons keeper for young Prince Thanos. She is a woman in a man’s world.
There are a few storylines to follow in this story – and it seems the author has left it open for these storylines to be continued in future books.
I have to say i was pleasantly surprised by this story. It’s been a while that I have wished for more time to read and to not let other things take over my reading time. Morgan’s writing is descriptive and fluent, and I had my heart stolen away by one character in particular.
If you adore stories of strong women overcoming adversity, a powerful and intruguing story, then this book is for you.
