Ky Three years ago my father walked away. Away from our MC club, all his responsibilities, and me. We haven’t spoken since the day he handed me the keys to the kingdom. Shoved them down my throat was more like it. I hate him, and the new family he’s playing house with. He left his entire life behind for a woman he barely knows. But I’m strong, resilient, and don’t need a damn soul to survive. At … damn soul to survive.
At least, that’s what I thought…until she walked into my bar.
Kira
Someone is watching me. I can feel it. I wake up in the middle of the night freaked out of my mind, paranoid a stranger is there. My skin prickles every time I leave my house, because I know someone is following me.
I’m afraid. Alone. And there’s only one person left to turn to.
The stepbrother I never met. The man my stepfather speaks so highly about, but never sees. He’s the president of a notorious motorcycle club, and exactly the kind of person I need to protect me.
Little did I know, Ky Parish, freakin’ hates my guts.
Slashes in the Snow is an enemies to lovers, stepbrother romance, romantic suspense (emphasis on romance) with dark elements. Reader discretion is advised.

4.5 stars for Slashes in the Snow by M.Never
“Well, that’s the thing about remarkable people. They never know they’re remarkable. But everyone else can see it.”
This is my first book from this author and it for sure will not be my last . I honestly do not know where to start with this review . This book is romantic suspense and it is filled with both . “I’m sorry, I love you, I want you, I need you, I’d fucking kill for you.”
Kira has a problem and goes to the one person who she thinks she can trust . Her step brother she has never meet, Ky. Ky wants nothing to do with his father’s new family that he abandoned him and the club for . Ky hates his dad and the man he has become . After meeting Kira or as he calls her Snow he can’t get her out of his head . She wants her and wants to help her even if he doesn’t understand why. Kira thinks someone is watching her but can not prove it . Little things have been happening but nothing major , it is just enough to scare her. SO Ky agrees to help by staying with her and keeping watch. Soon these two develop feelings for each other . Ky tries to push her away by hurting her . Soon he realizes what a mistake he has made. He loves her and she loves him. “I want to show you exactly where my love lies.” AS soon as these two are on a good path truth is revealed and Ky hurts Kira more than she thought possible. “Tears may fall, but strength can rise.” Just Kira is trying to work through the hurt , truths bring Ky back . Can these two move past what is going on between them in time or will the danger they are in find them . “Let it hurt then let it go.”
This book was filled with suspense , sexy sex scenes and so much more . I loved every second of it . YOu can go wrong with this book .
‘On a scale of one to ten how wrong is it to crush on your stepbrother?’
Ummmm if my step brother was Ky I would be crushing on him too! After he stops being a jerk of course.
M. Never does it again. She gives you a story that will make and break you with much steamiest encounters that heat you up in the best way.
Ky’s hatred runs deep for Kira and her parents because her stepdad is his dad. He feels abandoned.
Kira needs help with a stalker and with no one else around to help she go to Ky.
The storyline takes twist and turns with Ky sprouting off hurt words time and time again.
I honestly didn’t know who I wanted to pull for more. They both deserve some love.
This is one of my top ten reads of the year and I will be reading this over and over!
When a mistake can bring something, or someone remarkable.
I enjoyed Snowfall, the book leading up to Slashes in the Snow. Ky and Kira are great characters. Ky is lost and angry, while Kira is scared and needs to trust him.
Ky, aka Slash, is the president of the Baum MC club. Kira is the stepsister he refuses to acknowledge after his father walked away from the MC and him, to marry someone so very different. Resentment and anger fill him. Enter Kira and the feelings overflow and she beats the brunt of it all.
She’s in danger but no one believes her. She goes to Ky for help because his dad talks about him all the time. He’s not what she expected when he turns all his wrath on her.
There’s romance and passion brewing all the while danger dances on the perimeter. The past is thrown out for all to see, threatening everything. Lives are at stake and the past will haunt them. Sometimes fighting is worth everything.
“Though tears may fall, strength can rise.”
I enjoyed Slashes in the Snow and the twists and turns were unexpected.
his book was received as an ARC in exchange for an honest review
This was my first book from M. Never and my first book about MC bikers. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Ky and Kira have amazing chemistry even with the circumstances they have towards beginning. I love how honest Ky is and how sassy Kira can be. While Ky comes off like a jerk in the beginning, he you become really invested in him and how much he feels for Kira as the book develops.
Slashes in the Snow kept me wanting more and I become just as invested in Gerard and Kristen’s relation. Fantastic character growth, lots twists and turns to keep you hooked,
This book I definitely recommend!
My new fav M. Never work. Great chatacters, awesome twist, a definite reread!
Let me start out by saying that I started reading this book on a Sunday evening and did not go to sleep until the extremely early hours of Monday morning because I couldn’t stop reading. So for a real quick background you will want to read Snowfall: A Slashes in the Snow Prequel. It’ll help you to understand what an awesome guy Gerard (Gambit) Parish is, and what kind of bond and love Gambit had with his only son, Ky (Slash) Parish. It’ll also help you to understand why Ky feels extremely hurt and anger with his father…to the point that he hates the new family Gambit married into as well.
When Gambit left, Ky had to pick up where his father left off as president of his MC. He had to learn to live life alone since he resented his dad and his new step-family. His MC was then the only family he believed he could trust to have his back.
Kira found herself living alone in her family’s house while she was finishing her last month of school before her college graduation. She would then move to Paris with her mom and Gerard. However, living alone is so much harder than she thought it would be due to the feeling that someone is watching her. Kira is afraid she’s being stalked and no one believes her at the police station so she goes to the only person she feels she could trust to protect her, the stepbrother she’s never met.
Kira and Ky clash from the moment they meet. She has no idea of the hate and hurt that Ky holds against her and her family. She only went to him because Gerard said he was the beat person he knew. Ky always runs hot and cold towards Kira, she just doesn’t understand why he is so mean and hateful to her. But all that tension and sexual chemistry…it’s only a matter of time before things combust.
M Never definitely knows her sexy when it comes to spinning a story and creating the hottest characters. Ky was a complicated man with many layers to him. He definitely grew as a person throughout this story, and realized what a gem he found when he met Kira. Kira was so patient with Ky, but didn’t take his crap at the same time. I cannot wait to see if she continues with this series and tells us about all of the other MC brothers and their stories.
After reading the short prequel Snowfall I could not wait to get my hands on this story. I love MC reads and enemies to lovers (plus this author) so this was my ideal book. I love this author for the simple reason that she knows how to balance her books so that as a reader I always want to turn the next page. There is enough pull (suspense) to get me to keep reading and I never put her books down. Just like this one, I read them in one sitting, I cannot help it!
While the book starts out sort of harsh, the story line lightens a bit and what we get is an almost instant love story with the two main characters fighting and pushing each other until neither can take it and lust (and eventually love) consumes them.
Ky is an angry man, with every right to feel that way. I liked his gruff exterior and his sweet center. I could really feel that he was hurt by his father and understood his reasoning for being so standoffish against Kira. I liked his personality as he had some great lines. Kira, on the other hand was very sweet and even though she stood up to Ky, I felt she was a bit too soft. I wanted a bit more bite from her. There were amazing together and balanced each other out though. I loved the development of the characters how they both were cautious with each other but could not avoid their attraction.
This story had action and suspense along with the push and pull and passion; and the mystery of the “stalker” and all the action around that was fun to read and well written. I did wish there was a bit more resolution with Ky’s father from Snowfall. I think there was a missed opportunity to have more closure with that aspect of the story line.
I would say to any reader on the fence that this is a fun, lighthearted read with action and passion. It is not what I would consider dark or violent. It was just an awesome read. I would add that reading Snowfall (before or after) will only add to your experience with these characters and just might answer a few questions that you might have regarding Ky and his father. Happy reading.
Slashes in the Snow ticks off every weakness I have in what I love in a book.
Hot stepbrother?
Biker hottie?
Love and hate romance?
Jerk-ish hero?
A sequel to Snowfall: A Slashes in the Snow Prequel – but totally can be read as standalone, no confusion – the first scene captivated me. We all love that first meeting of main characters and M. Never gave us an intense and sizzling introduction.
Ky Parish, an MC President of the Baumer Mafia MC was harboring some deep hatred for his father, the former Prez of the club, (view spoiler)
Kira Kendrick needed her stepbrother’s help. [ She can feel someone’s watching her every move and she’s not comfortable about it anymore. She’s scared but she doesn’t want to alert and worry her mother and her new stepfather about it so she seeks Ky’s help. (hide spoiler)]
In she walks inside the “The Lion’s Den”, the club’s owned bar looking for this stepbrother her stepfather was all praise about.
Everything took off after that and the chemistry between the two main characters is palpable as well as undeniable. The attraction between them is too much but there’s also so much pain Ky has harbored.
Not totally “club centered” but the author did pull a total WTF twist in there that I didn’t see coming. It was a great climactic drama you wouldn’t expect hitting you in the face and I loved it!
You’ll be drawn more as the plot thickens and things get *almost* beyond FUBAR.
This book kept me on the edge of my seat while waiting for more bomb-drops (figuratively speaking, sorry) this author seems to be fond of!
Great character growth, climactic events and twists and turns that will make your head spin, this book is one I do recommend!
Ky and Kira are step-siblings whom have never met. When Kira is in danger she has no choice but to approach Ky for help. Ky is now the president of the MC, after his father handed the title over to him in order to move on and marry Kira’s mother. Ky has not spoken to his father since he left the MC, and now has a misplaced hated for his dad’s new family. This is a well written flawless story, which is filled with suspense, danger, explosive chemistry and love. I was totally captivated throughout this addictive page turner and I cannot wait to read more from this exceedingly talented author, whose work I highly recommend for all enemies / lovers stories.
4.5 Cranky Stars
Slashes in the Snow is the story of how Kira AKA Snow and Ky AKA Slash meet. Sorry not that Slash for all my guitar loving followers.
Ky is now the President of the Baum Squad MC. He was given this position when his father Gerard renounced his title to marry the love of his life. The relationship between father and son is rocky so when Kira shows up at the Lions Den asking for help, he immediately wants to laugh. He feels Kira is part of the reason why his father abandoned him so why help her. When he starts to notice that maybe just maybe something is really happening with her, he offers his help. He stays at her palatial mansion and the sparks he feels he thinks are purely sexual. Little by little the woman he dubbed Snow, because she seems as pure the driven snow, chips away at his harden exterior and he starts to contemplate letting someone love him.
Kira’s life is happy and safe and she’s mentally healthy. Her mom is married to Gerard and it gives her hope from the once bleak past she endured. When she starts noticing things are amiss in her house from clothes being moved to windows unlocked, she starts thinks she is losing her mind. With the parental units out of town she turns to Ky. When he shuts her down, she realizes she’s in a fight for her life. Kira starts to fall for the naughty bad boy with a sarcastic mouth. The boy who gives her rides up and down the Malibu coast on his Harley will end up being her saving grace.
I was on the edge of my seat at the end there. I refused for it to end any other way. The chemistry between these two was explosive. You felt every touch and every kiss. I was honestly screaming just do it already. Ky is rough. His temper is something to behold. Kira was strong and knew how to handle herself. I wanted to hate Hawk. I know he was just helping his Prez out but dude keep the nose in your business. My only complaint with the sex scenes was the oddly placed “big” words and descriptions. The book as a whole I enjoyed and I can’t wait to see more of the Squad.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie’s Book Reports.

If you read the prequel to this book then you know the back story of how Kira’s mom and Ky’s father fell in love and ended up married. Now you are going to get the story of Kira and Ky. Told in duel points of view this book is nothing short of amazing. It will go down as one of my favorite M. Never books. Kira has a problem. She just knows with everything that is in her that she is being followed and her parents are out of the country for a launch in Paris of her moms makeup company. Left with no choice she goes to Ky for help. However the moment she walks into the bar she is denied access to him and all these guys are surrounding her until Ky stops them. He hates her and she has no idea why. I fell in love with these two characters and this story just sucks you in so hard your not going to be able to lay this book down. These two have some amazing banter, explosive chemistry and most of all watching them fall in love just melted my heart. I was so sad that my time with these characters ended. I can’t wait to see what M. Never gives us next.

What a ride! You better hang on tight for this one and enjoy the ride!
Though tears may fall, strength can rise.
Kira seeks out her stepbrother, Ky for help. She’s never met him but her stepfather always speaks highly of him. Kira feels like someone is stalking her and is scared for her life. Ky declines to help her sending her on her way. Guilt eats away at him until he changes his mind. He offers to help but is it already too late? Who would want to hurt a genuinely nice woman?
This book will keep your mind wandering and guessing on who the stalker is. While all the action is unfolding you witness a pure relationship bloom between Ky and Kira. The passion between the two is hot and sweet that it will have you wanting so much more from them. I also love that Ky and Kira never once cared that they were step sibilings. They just let their emotions take over.
Promises are made and hearts are broken. A huge fact is uncovered about Kira. Just enough information to have Ky running in the opposite direction. However, Ky opens his eyes and realizes that he can not live without Kira. Just when things seem to get back on track. Danger lurks, danger hits and life is compromised. The stalker strikes for good and the perpetrator is not who you think.
This is a thrilling suspenseful romance that will have you wanting more. I absolutely loved it and can’t wait for more.
I just know when I dive into an M. Never story it is going to be emotional, passionate, arousing, tantalising, and guaranteed to create insomnia. Not only could I not go to sleep until I read the entire story, I am still thinking about it. To the point I have tried to read several books, but just cannot get into them. I am still in Ky and Kira mode. I embraced everything about their story. I wanted to knock sense into them when I thought they needed iy, wanted them to hurry and get to the good bits. Just kidding, there were so many good bits I was beside myself with glee. I loved the characters and everything they stood for. Ky was ever frustrating, and I was besotted from page one. Kira was a dynamo that was always underestimated. She possessed an inner strength nobody gave her credit for. Well she certainly showed them all. The secondary characters were wildly entertaining and colourful. A stand up sensational story that I finished way too soon. 5 stars.
Slashes in the Snow was a great read. It was a suspenseful but romantic read. I was hooked from the beginning. I loved Ky and Kira. Ky was sexy and gruff but a real softie for Kira, which I loved! Kira was sweet and sassy. The lust and connection between them was scorching. Definitely recommend this!
I throughly enjoyed this book.
I didn’t have to read the prequel to get the full benefits of this one.
The author does a great job of weaving in all the info that’s needed to get the full effects of Slashes in the Snow.
Ty has been the president of his MC club now for the past three years.
That’s because his father just upped and walked away from his club and son.
His fathers actions has been him so anger,so bitter and unable to forgive him because he can’t understand how a woman can hold so much power of his strong dad.
Kira is an amazing young lady. I loved her immediately.
She’s strong and tough even though on the inside she’s shaking like a leaf.
She’s sassy and witty.
When she finds herself needing help. She turns to Ty.
Having heard so much good honorable things about him from her stepfather, yep her stepdad is none other than Ty’s father. She decides to go to him for protection.
I loved these two together!
Their dynamics are full of energy and emotion.
Each comes into this with preconceived ideas about the other.
So their encounters are explosive!
I appreciated how the author let the sexual tension build.
Until both of them just needs the other so desperately.
Their relationship is rocky because of all the emotions that are surrounding the connection they share,Ty’s father.
So things don’t run smoothly for them. It makes it that much more real.
But what I loved was seeing how Ty just couldn’t let Kira out of his thoughts and his heart.
And how Kira was so forgiving and understanding.
It was heartwarming seeing Ty grow and understand the power of love.
Then Ms. Never uppes the ante and gives the reader a turn in the story that is absolutely jaw dropping! Omg I did not see that coming!
But that’s what I love about Ms. Never she always throws in a wth just happened in her books!
Her writing is stunning and her characters are incredible.
Oh and don’t get me started on her utterly sexy covers
This was a fantastic thrilling read for me!
When I started reading I couldn’t put it down.M. Never is magnifysent and amazing writer.I cannot wait to read more of there books.Keep up the great work. You should definitely read this book. Can’t wait for the next book.
This is the newest release from an author that I’ve grown to love and I jumped at the opportunity to read and review this one! I’ve never been disappointed by anything I’ve read by this author and the same holds true here. I’m a huge fan of MC romance and enemies to lovers stories and this one is the best of both worlds!
Ky is a man who holds a grudge, and rightfully so, but the problem is Kira has been placed in a desperate situation where she’s been brought to the point where she needs to rely on him for help. He hates her for something she didn’t have any part in, but can’t deny the immediate and intense attraction he feels towards her. I truly enjoyed watching the pull these two had for each other and their chemistry was off the charts explosive! Ky is hard not to fall in love with and my heart went out to him for everything he had gone through.
I felt that Kira was the perfect fit for him and loved seeing how she was able to break down his walls. There’s also an added layer of suspense and tension throughout this story that made this that much more enjoyable to read since I was left on the edge of my seat wondering what was going to happen up until the very end and I loved this!
My favorite stories are the ones that are unpredictable and leave me guessing what’s going to happen next and this story does that and then some! This was a very highly enjoyable read that I highly recommend reading to anyone and I look forward to reading so much more from this author in the future!
I reviewed this for Reviews for the Heart.

When Kira’s mom marries Ky’s father, she ends up with a stepbrother she never met. However, when she runs into some trouble, Kira decides Ky might be the one person able to help her out. This might of been the best or worst decision she ever had walking into Ky “Slash” Parish’s MC Bar, The Lions Den. Ky hasn’t spoken to his father since he abandoned their MC for his new wife, so imagine his surprise when the sexiest woman he ever saw walks into his bar asking for help & she also happens to be his new stepsister. Can he put his past feelings aside and help Kira? Will they figure out who is after her? These two are HOT together and I couldn’t put this down! A great fast read that gets your motor running. M. Never really knows how to write a book that sucks you in immediately. I also love the back and forth dialogue between Kira and Ky. Told in dual POV
Page Turner!
This is not my usual trope. At all. But I loved it! Narration by Jacob Morgan and Muffy Newtown was perfection and conveyed the danger very realistically!
Ky is the president of a motorcycle club, and Kira is his recent stepsister. When Kira initially comes to Ky for help while her mom and stepdad are out of the country, Ky is dismissive of the rich princess. But there’s something about Kira that draws Ky and he soon finds himself enthralled. This is a humdinger of a romantic suspense as Kira and Ky try to catch a stalker! It’s twisty and I loved it!
