Ky Three years ago my father walked away. Away from our MC club, all his responsibilities, and me. We haven’t spoken since the day he handed me the keys to the kingdom. Shoved them down my throat was more like it. I hate him, and the new family he’s playing house with. He left his entire life behind for a woman he barely knows. But I’m strong, resilient, and don’t need a damn soul to survive. At … damn soul to survive.
At least, that’s what I thought…until she walked into my bar.
Kira
Someone is watching me. I can feel it. I wake up in the middle of the night freaked out of my mind, paranoid a stranger is there. My skin prickles every time I leave my house, because I know someone is following me.
I’m afraid. Alone. And there’s only one person left to turn to.
The stepbrother I never met. The man my stepfather speaks so highly about, but never sees. He’s the president of a notorious motorcycle club, and exactly the kind of person I need to protect me.
Little did I know, Ky Parish, freakin’ hates my guts.
Slashes in the Snow is an enemies to lovers, stepbrother romance, romantic suspense (emphasis on romance) with dark elements. Reader discretion is advised.
more
Kira has a problem. She can feel someone watching her but she can’t prove it. It’s just a feeling. The sense of someone being in her home without her knowledge. The creepy crawly tingle up her spine. She’s scared and she’s terrified. This fear emboldens her to go to her new stepbrother for help. A stepbrother who is the president of the Baum Squad MC. A stepbrother who is a decorated war veteran. A stepbrother who should be able to scare off whoever is out there. Too bad her stepbrother hates her.
Ky is a bitter, bitter man. He feels abandoned by his father for a shiny, rich and new family. How could his father leave him? How dare he? Kira represents everything that Ky has lost. But he can’t get over how beautiful she is. If helping her means helping himself to her, what could be the problem?
What I loved most about this story was how neither of these people expected what was to come. The author did a wonderful job of building up the tension between them, until it came to a head and it was either sink or swim. I’m so glad these two decided to swim together. Their relationship was pretty dynamic. They both brought a lot of baggage with them, adding to the dimension of what they could be together. It was at once painful and glorious. They each brought out the best from the other. While there was a suspenseful element to the plot, it took a huge back seat to the love story that evolved for these characters.
If you love romance and hot sex with your intrigue, Slashes in the Snow delivers!
This book has it all. There was love, anger, suspense, drama, danger and longing. I couldn’t put it down.
Ky is a president of an MC that his father walked away from for a woman. He can’t understand his reasoning and still years later he hasn’t moved on. He hates everything his fathers new family represents and has no interest in meeting them.
Kira is a woman who is scared. The only person she feels she can turn to is the man her father speaks so highly on. Though upon meeting him, she finds out that the feeling isn’t mutual.
I loved watching these two dance around each other and fight their feelings. There were so many layers to this couple it was fun to read. There were times you wanted to hug them but also hit them upside the head.

When this author writes an enemy to lovers, stepbrother romance and romantic suspense with darker elements that has a label warning discretion is advised, she is not kidding. This story is all that and soooooo much more. Slashes in the Snow (I just love the name of this story) by M. Never is simply amazing. I hated Ky and thought Kira was a little off but OMG I was so wrong on both accounts. Ms. Never has a way with words and this story just proves she is an amazing writer. From start to finish, I was dragged into their world. As for the romantic suspense aspect of this book, let’s just say holy smokes!!! I did not see all that coming and thought I was going crazy myself along with Kira!! Well played!!!!
Ky is angry at the world. When his father walked away from him and the club, he also left all the responsibilities to Ky. As a result, he cut his father off. While he is playing house with his new family, he has to pick up all the stuff he walked away from. All for a woman he just met. For three years he has been harboring this anger until Kira walks into his bar.
Kira knows there are eyes watching her. The feeling of unease every time she’s home leaves her jumpy and unsettled. Not to mention paranoid. Afraid and alone she asks the one person she shouldn’t for help. The stepbrother that she never met. The man whose stepdad I put on a pedestal. But time changes people and the Ky that she meets when she walks into his bar asking for help is not the man she thought him to be.
We are taken on such a ride from start to finish in this fast-paced story. You get so swept up into the story and, if you’re like me, you’ll be left with a book hangover.
Ky has been the President of the Baum Squad since his dad handed him the MC so he could run off with his new wife, Kristen and her daughter, Kira. Feeling like his dad abandoned him and the club, Ky hasn’t spoken to his dad for years and hates everything about his new step-family. Imagine his surprise when Kira, someone he has never met, turns up at the club asking for his help. Someone is stalking her… she just can’t prove it. Reluctantly Ky agrees to help, one month’s protection then he never has to see her again. Easy right? Yeah, as long as he doesn’t fall for his stepsister.
I really enjoyed this. A bit of action, a bit of suspense, with plenty of romance and drama and this was a really good read. I can’t wait to see what comes next from this group of bikers and I give Slashes in the Snow 4.5 stars.
Again, why have I not read every word this author has ever written?
First and foremost, this is a story of growth and forgiveness. It will suck you in and you will read the entire thing before you even realize you have LOL And just to warn you, you’re probably not going to like Ky very much in the beginning, but he’ll grown on you #TRUST He’s a stubborn one, but it was fantastic to see his growth in this story. Kira was the perfect sweet and sassy match for him. I just couldn’t get enough of them!
One thing I must mention that was just a little over the top for me was the turmoil they both had about the whole step sibling thing. I could have done with a little less stressing over it. It was a moot point in my opinion. I didn’t even see them as step anything. Their parents were married, yes, but they’re grown ass people who had never even met before! So, if you’re wondering if this is a stepbrother/sister romance, put that out of your head. It’s not. Not even a little.
Anywho, back to this story LOL .. somewhat suspenseful (yes, Kira has an issue, but it’s a bleep on the page compared to the growth and development of Ky and Kyra), captivating, somewhat humorous (their banter added a lightness to the story that was perfectly placed), sexy, hot and just plain delicious. These two could not have been more perfect for each other and M Never did a fantastic job developing them both. I cannot wait to read more words by her and I hope she continues with this series and the rest of the MC!

Snowfall & Slases in the Snow by M. Never is the first book in A Baum Squad Series. This is the story of Ky ‘Slash’ and Kira. Please note that there was a Prequel called Snowfall that introduced us to the parents (the step-parents story), set the tone of Ky being upset about his father’s new life. But with that said this book can be a standalone book.
Ky holds a grudge against his father and his father’s new family so he hasn’t seen nor spoke to him nor them. But Ky took over being the President of the Baum Squad after his father left it and as a ex-military, Ky is man who doesn’t let things go easily. When Kira comes into his life he is attracted to her instantly but thinks to get what he wants from her to too. Kira knows that someone is watching and doing things that she can’t prove. So she feels the only safe place or person that might be able to help is her step-brother Ky. But his world is different from hers and he isn’t giving up much.
Ky was somewhat hard to get into after his one encounter with someone else after meeting Kira but I slowly came around to them both.
M Never has a way with words. It’s amazing – just like this book. The world building and the way you feel like you’re there — nothing gets better than that!
Ky is now the Baum Squad MC President after his dad stepped down and left to be with his new family. He’s filled with so many emotions, anger, abandonment, resentment, pain. He has lost his father and can’t understand why he has walked away from him and the MC. In the middle of all this anger his new step-sister Kira comes to him needing his help and ends up being on the receiving end of a lot of that anger.
The push/pull between them is intense and entertaining to watch. Ky really struggles with his love/hate relationship with Kira, he needs to separate his feelings for her away from his feelings towards his father.
Can Ky keep Kira safe when it looks like she has a stalker after her. With some twists and turns with the MC he needs to work out if he can really walk away from Kira and can he rebuild his relationship with his dad.
Only thing that stopped me marking this higher is that you still don’t get the story as to why Gerard walked away from the mC and Ky. I get that he met Kristen and wanted a different life I just don’t understand why he had to walk away from his son especially without an explanation. This said I am looking forward to seeing what happens next in this series

Ky is now the president of the Baum Squad Mafia MC after his father stepped away three years ago. He’s angry and resentful of the life his dad is now leading and feels betrayed. So, imagine his surprise when he finds his smoking hot step-sister at his bar asking for help.
I’ll be honest here and say there were some things with this story that really worked for me and some things that really didn’t. The whole step-brother/sister thing didn’t bother me. I think I struggled more with the maturity of Kira and Ky. To me there were times they were both so very immature towards each other that I wanted to slap them. Other times they were spot on and portrayed the strength I love in characters. I loved the suspense with the stalker and felt it was well written and totally didn’t suspect who it was. The sex is spot on and super steamy as usual per an M Never story. Overall, I did enjoy it. I do,however, wish we’d been given a little more detail on when Gerard left three years earlier. I think it would have just added more to the story.

What starts as a request for help becomes a cry of ecstasy…
Slashes in the Snow had me from the get go. You see, I’m a bookwhore, an unrepentant greedy gobbler of words. I love all types of books. Various tropes and subgenres litter my TBR. But the crack to my addiction…the cherry on top is stepbrother romance. I am a fiend for them and Slashes answers my craving!
The Baum Squad, Ky, and Gerard are a clusterf@ck of drama-all the more garnish on my edible dessert. Snow has her own issues. Getting these two together is a headache I wouldn’t wish on anyone but the results are fireworks of epic proportions. I am so drawn in and the Baum Squad is going to have to adopt me. Either that or I will become Popeye’s old lady just to be a part of it all!
Sexy and full of unresolved tension, Slashes in the Snow is an enemies to lovers, stepbrother romantics suspense novel. It’s the cherry baum to you sundae!
To say that I’ve been going through withdrawals for M Never’s words would be an understatement. But when an ARC of Slashes in the Snow dropped on my Kindle, I inhaled page by page, falling in love with Ky and Kira.
It’s a sweet, sexy, and sometimes humorous story, but the underlying theme of forgiveness and coming to terms with who you are is ever present on each page. Even though it’s been a long wait, it is well worth it!
M. drops this intricate, forbidden romance, and it has me wondering (more like pleading and begging) if we’ll learn more about the rest of the MC. Her words deliver a poignant, steamy story that will leave you needing so much more from the Baum Squad MC, and I hope she continues with the rest of the men we meet in Slashes in the Snow.
Wow… A Rollercoaster of a read from beginning to end.
I love bad boys, and Kai is the baddest and most delicious one yet.
A steamy read that will give you hot flashes!!!!
Highly Recommended and can’t wait to read the whole series!
M. Never does it again with this story. I know I am always going to crazy blush when I read anything by Ms. Never but all the feels packed into this story really was icing on the cake for me. I surprisingly shed a few tears while reading. Kira lives what appears to be a perfect life, with a perfect house, school, mother and step father, but in reality she really does have an ugly past. Her mother tried hard to shield from her father’s torment but she did see things first hand. And when her mother fell in love with Gambit she really was finally able to see what a loving relationship looked like. She goes to Ky (Gambit’s son) for help but get a lot more than she expected.
Ky wants to hate Kira, she has his father, whom he feels abandoned him after everything. But he is caught off guard when Kira ends up at his club looking for him.
Sexy bikers, steamy moments and so many unexpected feels is the perfect mix! Definitely a must read!
MC, forbidden, suspense…. a great read with all these elements! Ky is definitely an alpha, sexy MC Prez. He hates his stepsister Kira, until she needs his protection…. Tension builds as the story unfolds. One click!
This 4 star story had me reading non stop on a slow night at work. My first read from this author and one I will likely to repeat.
Kira needs help. Someone is following her and terrorizing her so she turns to an unlikely man who wants nothing to do with her. Ky hates everything about her. Will he refuse to help her?
This is a very suspenseful story that consumed me and had me intrigued until the last page read. I enjoyed these amazing characters that made this story entertaining .
Told in a dual POV with an HEA. I recommend this story.
Ky is in charge of the MC now that his father Gerard left to be with his woman. He hates his father for making the choice to leave and be with a new family. Kira is his stepsister and she needs protection from someone following her. She turns to Ky to save her but she doesn’t know that he hates her. These two are sizzling together. This is a romance , a story of forgiveness, understanding who you are and that the choices you make are not always cut and dried. An excellent read.
Man. I’m not even sure where to start to write this review. The story completely drug me under and captivated me from the first word. After reading Snowfall, I was anticipating what this story was going to be, but couldn’t even begin to predict what would happen with this story.
The characters are raw, real and sarcastic. I loved reading the banter between Ky and Kira. It is hilarious!! They both have been through stuff and it shows in the beginning. Kyra is a strong female character you can relate with and see she’s doing everything she can to get the help she needs. Ky has an important role after his dad left that he takes very serious. He questions everyone and everything. He is a character that has been hurt and won’t let it go.
Together, these 2 are explosive on so many levels. She doesn’t take any crap from him. He questions her because she’s part of his story that he can’t get over. Together, they become everything they could ever need without realizing it. The story is one of suspense, steaminess, and finally finding everything you didn’t know you needed.
I highly recommend this book. It was one that you can read over and over again. I highly recommend this book, and reading Snowfall to get the back story.
“I’m torn in so many directions when I look at this woman. My attraction to her is wild. My resentment toward her fierce, and my curiosity is slowly raking me over hot coals because I want to know more.”
Ky, the now Prez of Baum Squad MC due to his Father stepping down suddenly, is filled with anger, and resentment toward what took his father away from the brotherhood. In strolls Kira, the step-sister he’s never met, but attributes all his pain to. Enemies to lovers, hot as hades, with danger, mystery, and angsty happenings to keep you glued until you reach the end. These two were maddening as all get out, mostly Ky’s inability to let go and deal with his baggage, and it infuriated me to no end. Their attraction was alive and tangible and addictive, it had me fanning myself the entire time. *SWOON* I couldn’t put it down and cannot wait for more Baum Squad MC!!
“I’m the one who’s going to heal all your scars, guard your body, protect your heart, be a better man than I was the day before, and love you with everything I have. Everything I am.”

Slashes in the Snow by M.Never was so hot it could literally melt ice. It was a MC romance with a forbidden love story filled with suspense, sensuality and angst. You won’t be able to stop reading as you just have to know what is going to happen next.
Slash aka Ky Parish hates his father who remarried and left the role of Prez of MC to him. He is angry and bitter even if he loves his biker life. So it doesn’t help when Kira , his stepsister shows up at his doorstep asking for help. He doesn’t want to care. But he can’t stop thinking about her. What starts as a reluctant gesture soon becomes obsession and deep seated fascination when he finds the smart, compassionate, loving and soothing soul of Kira. Kira falls for his arrogant, protective, confident and sexy self too. But Kira has secrets. And MC Prez has enemies. The story turns a suspense filled breathtaking thriller then.
Biker men have this distinct personality and M.Never nailed it. I could melt from Ky’s devotion and possessive feeling towards Kira. Their chemistry gave me real goosebumps and tears. The hate-love-hate magic was undeniable. The story line was full of twist and turns. I was holding my breath for the best part of the story.
Slashes in the Snow by M. Never was a sensual, passionate and intense romance. The captivating story line and brilliant writing kept me glued to the pages!

This book has a prequel, Snowfall, which should be read first to get a full appreciation of the story.
Ky Parish, aka Slash, is now president of Baum Squad Mafia MC, a position held by Gerard Parish, his father until his dad renounced the title to marry the woman he loves. Now a grown man who survived being in the Marines, Ky feels the MC deserves all his loyalty. He’s hurting over his dad abandoning him for his new wife and family. And when he sees Kira Kendrick striding into his clubhouse bar, it takes all his control from exacting revenge. She is beautiful and assertive, but he senses her strength is a thin veneer.
Kira is desperate for help and the only man she can turn to is Gerard’s son. With her mom and stepfather out of the country on vacation, she’s left alone in a big mansion, and she can’t shake the feeling of being watched. Ky decides to play bodyguard for a month until she can join her parents, meanwhile, there are telltale signs that show she might be in danger.
I love how the story unfolds. Ms. Never weaves a well-written story filled with anguish, intense emotions, heartfelt connections, and suspense. Ky nicknames Kira as “Snow” with all the references for being an entitled princess. But as they learn more about each other, Ky realizes his princess is so deeply scarred and emotionally fragile. My heart broke for Kira reading about her painful childhood, and what she endured towards the end that had me holding my breath. The hardened heart Ky built begins to melt with this extraordinary woman.
Slashes In The Snow is an amazing story. The chemistry between the characters, and intensely deep emotions just blew me away. The whole story comes full circle with three amazing epilogues with Gerard, Ky, and Kira’s POVs. I’m still reeling from this story and it’s one I won’t soon forget. Ms. Never did a wonderful job.
