My name is Slade Merrick and I’m a fucking sex addict . . .I’ve been told it’s a problem. But I see it as a passion; something that I’m good at. And who the fuck stops something that they’re good at?They want me to seek help; get my cock in check. Don’t judge my lifestyle. You’re no better than me. Just admit it, you like to fuck too. Sex is what I do best; my own personal high, so I embrace it … high, so I embrace it instead of being ashamed.
When I’m not fucking, I’m slinging drinks at Walk Of Shame or stripping my way into your bed; another thing I’m good at. Every woman’s darkest fantasy brought to life.
So, am I stopping? Fuck no. Sex is beautiful, raw and erotic and I get off knowing I can have it with anyone I want . . . with the exception of her.
Aspen.
She walks into the club swaying those hips, instantly drawing my cock to attention. She’s pure perfection. That is, until she opens that mouth, drawing me in and for the first time in forever I want something more than sex. I want her and she hates it.
Things get dirty. Dirty is what I like; it’s how I live. But . . . she’s playing a game she can never win.
***Author’s note*** Due to strong language and a very high amount of dirty, sexual content, this book is not intended for readers under the age of 18. This is #1 in the Walk Of Shame series of novellas that will all be STANDALONE reads. If you’re not into, cocky bad boys with filthy mouths and even filthier sex, then this series is not for you. If you are . . . then, come meet the dirty boys of Walk Of Shame.

He was a force to be and she got him . Fell in love with the book I have read it 3 times and would recommend it
Slade is strips at the Walk of Shame, he has rules he only sleeps with someone once, when he looks over sees this woman though he’s determined to have her.
Aspen can’t believe the sexy stripper, the way he looked at her felt like he was touching her, she has to pull herself together, she’s never reacted around her friend Cale who is a stripper.
The bartender can’t believe Aspen turned down Slade, but Aspen knows she’s in trouble, watching the man whore, with being in the same house as him for a week, and she’s already struggling with seeing him and how he makes her feel.
They fight each other, but, can’t deny the chemistry that sizzles between them, but Slade’s breaking his rules and not only once.
Slade’s been angry for a long time, but Aspen makes him want to let go of that anger and try. Aspen has her own reasons for needing to get away and stay with Cale for the week.
Aspen didn’t stand a chance against Slade, but will their secrets tear them apart, when they both find them out, they both think there not good enough.
“I actually wanted to love and to be loved. I had it before but lost it and myself, but she makes me long to be that person again.”
Is Slade to late can he makes Aspen see what he sees in her.
This book was amazing. There was so much steam I needed a cold shower. I even teared up a bit at some scenes. Victoria is brilliant with her writing. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.
Slade was deeper than I gave him credit for!
The following ratings are out of 5:
Audio/Narration:
Romance:
Heat/Steam:
Story/Plot:
World building:
Character development:
The heroine: Aspen – came to town to stay with an old friend to get away from her life and heartache.
The Hero(es): Slade – he is a stripper and a sex addict. He uses sex to feel numb and to forget something from his past but as soon as it is over, it all comes back.
The Story: Slade is attracted to Aspen right away and is used to women falling at his feet and wanting him for the night. So when Aspen turns him down he is determined to have her.
From the beginning, Slade was way too cocky and a bit of a jerk. Though he has reason to be a bit cocky because he is in high demand as a stripper and all the women at the club want to sleep with him. I didn’t really like his attitude, but I wanted to know more about him.
Aspen, on the other hand was way to wishy washy. She wanted him, but thinks she is above him. Though when he starts to get randy, she is all for it until she isn’t. I didn’t think the female narrator’s voice matched the character. She also sounded too old for a woman in her 20’s. So that might have been why I didn’t like her that much.
As the story went on, I got to like Cade more and more. I found that the cocky jerk had much more underneath than I would have thought. I also really liked the Male narrator’s voice. Nice and deep and it was exactly right for this character.
This book was definitely fast burn and boy was it hottt! Aspen visiting for a week was just what Slade needed to get him out of his own way! The way they push & pull each other and fight the emotions they have is so intense! Their relationship is so explosive and guaranteed to burn them both…in a good way! Loved it!
I’d say it was just ok. The story moves very quickly and things between Slade and Aspen progress pretty quickly. So much so that I didn’t really feel their connection on anything other than a sexual level. I know next to nothing about Aspen and at the very end when you find out something Slade thought she was hiding at the very end it is resolved nearly in the same breath. Slade reveals a big part of his background that explains his current profession, but it was wildly unbelievable for me.
This is not my favorite read by this author. I actually quite love her books. Slade seems to fall short for me, although I didn’t completely dislike this book. If you want something quick and hot as hell, then this something nice to pick up. I will continue with the series.
I absolutely loved Slade an Aspen’s story. How they had a love-hate relationship. But how could you not love Slade?
Victoria Ashley has written a hot an sexy romance that will have you begging for more.
This was the first book I’ve read by this author. This was a quick read with some very hot scenes. Both characters definitely had their flaws. Slade was definitely an a$& through a lot of the book. But Aspen brings out the good in him and he wants to change his ways. Aspen had a huge secret and wasn’t to happy about it. In the end she made the right choice. Wish we would have gotten more of them together after they work things out but I know we will be seeing more of them in the other guys books in the series. Look forward to reading those.
Oh my days!! This read is super hot but from the get-go I knew that Slade was hiding from something, masking his pain with his antics and my heart went out to him. Aspen, God I love her sass and the fact she doesn’t just give in to him is fantastic. Don’t get me wrong though, the chemistry is off the scale!! And you get to see a vulnerable side of Slade that will melt your heart!
Oh wow, I just really loved this and couldn’t put it down. I read the book in one sitting! That’s how much I liked It. It was so good and can’t wait to read the next one! Very HOT story!
There’s not a book I don’t like from Victoria Ashley. It all started with Slade, and I spiraled out of control and purchased anything I could get my hands on. Thank you Victoria and can’t wait for the next couple of books you have coming out.
Slade is my favorite men of the to date. Hearing how he is with the ladies and then seeing how he treats Aspen is what had me falling hard and fast. As we get deeper into the story we find out even more about Slade’s past and it’s heartbreaking to say the least but seeing the man he’s become since .. mmhm. This is a great read that I enjoyed and will undoubtedly be continuing on with the men in this series. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
I really battled on whether I liked this story. Please let me explain before crucifying me over that statement. I had a love/hate relationship with this book. One I did not like the cheating in this story. No matter how you sliced it in my eyes that one character was cheating. Second I really battled with the character Slade. He had a God complex. The biggest ego you could of ever imagined. He thought women should fall at this feet and no woman should refuse him. No matter how much I battled with the character Slade I could not put the book down. See Slade also had this hurt that you could see while you were reading. A pain and hurt that went very deep. So even though I saw this huge ego I knew there had to be more to him then what I was seeing.
I actually done whispersync with this book. The narrators did a great job with this book.
Aspen had a lot to deal with. Though there are some things I did not like about her character, all in all I actually liked her. She was a character that held a lot of pain and distrust due to someone in her life. She was highly attracted to Slade though she wanted to deny it as much a she could.
I love Slade’s determination when it came to Aspen. He was determined to have her though he will find out he has bitten off more then he could chew.
There is a lot of steamy parts in this book and I found I was really like some of the other characters in the books as well. Do I have plan reading other books in this series. yip I sure do.. What can I say. I need to find out more about Hemy and Cade.
This book was great I really loved it and can not wait for more books in this series Its not a cliffhanger either!!!
