Runt, Cricket, is an honorary beta of Team Greywolf, an elite special ops branch of the Lycan Intelligence Agency. As a member, she poses as a human and collects forensic evidence. Because of her low rank, she is assigned in the rehabilitation of Prince Slade suffering from morphogenesis after his entire pack is murdered, and then his indoctrination as a member of their team. Babysit a psycho, … domineering alpha? Not on her watch. To complicate matters, she lusts for Slade. Foolish. A runt can never take an alpha as a mate.
Slade has two choices. Honor his murdered kin and serve Team Greywolf, or once healed, obey King Conan and return to his territory with an alpha mate. Complicating his decision is his relentless desire for the hot sexy little she-wolf, Cricket.
Early into his recovery, Slade and Cricket are sent to investigate missing werewolves. An unstable werewolf seems hardly a match for a former Nazi werewolf bent on bringing on Ragnarok, the destruction of mankind.
Can they stop this evil regime, while conforming to pack law that forbids any chance of them fulfilling their desire for each other?

This was my first werewolf book. It has the approach that the werewolves have a higharchy.
The characters are intelligent, and well educated.
I enjoyed this story very much.
Slade by Eva Gordon is book one in the Team Greywolf Series that I listened to on audio narrated by Christine Padovan. This is the first book of Eva’s that I have read and I really enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of her books in the future. Christine did a good job with the narration. She uses different voices for each character which makes it easy to follow long. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romances.
I loved is book and was a enjoyable read. All the characters are a wonderful enjoyment.
Eva Gordon starts a new paranormal series with her usual finesse and prowess in bringing wolves, wolf shifters and human characters alike to life. Look out for old friends from her Alpha Wolf’s Pet Series to make appearances, and new friends and foes in this hot, spine tingling series!
I received this story, this is my voluntary review.
Slade is an enjoyable read. It is well-written with vivid imagery. It is action-packed with romance sprinkled throughout. Cricket is a runt with the heart of beta wolf trying to tolerate her place in society. Slade is an alpha prince trying to overcome the loss of his family. Together, they work to find and rescue missing/kidnapped wolves; finding forbidden love on the process. I was thoroughly entertained by their journey towards accepting their attraction for one another. Looking forward to the next book.
An interesting read, but took a little while to get into the meat of the book. I would recommend
I am really glad I got the chance to read this book. Slade and Cricket are such a great couple, even if they are not meant to be. The story is full of suspense and heartbreak. There is lots of action and the story moves at a great pace to keep you interested. I look forward to more in this series.
I think the overall concept was original but the writer seemed to lose her way. While creative in some aspects, it seemed to lose steam and punch. The mystery sub plot, was interesting but substrates from the romance and character building. I would like to see how this writer develops, she has great potential.
Kept my interest
The female lead in this book made me laugh with her sassy spunky attitude. The plot was not at all like any other pnr stories I have read it listened to. At first I didn’t like the reader, but when I took into consideration the character she was portraying, I realized that she was actually perfect for the part. This was a thoroughly enjoyable story. I received a free copy of this audio book for review.
This story is a spin-off of the Alphas Pet Series, but I haven’t listened to this series yet. Slade is a great Paranormal Wolf Shifters Story, with a great world building. The storyline is fast-paced, suspenseful, with action packed, twists and turns, and mystery. Cricket and Slade share an undeniable and hot chemistry. The other characters are also interesting. Cristine Padovan did a good narration.
A bit graphic for my tastebuds an interesting premise.
It was okay.
Very likeable characters and lots of action.
