Welcome to the Friends & Brothers SeriesWhere three lifelong friends end up falling for one of the other friend’s brothers. Sky High LoveSloan Hayes loves her job as a pilot. But lately all the travel, the never seeing her family or friends, was getting to her. Thanks to her two best friends, Camilla and Hazel, she knows she needs to make a change if she ever wants to get out of her funk. She … ever wants to get out of her funk.
She wasn’t expecting Asher Rickman to be her change.
Asher was Camilla’s older brother who moved away to live in London when he was in college. She hasn’t seen him in years until one night, out of the blue, she runs into him while in London.
He’s funny, smart and so sexy it makes her eyes hurt just looking at him.
But nothing can happen. He’s her best friend’s brother.
Asher hasn’t seen Sloan Hayes in who knows how long, but she’s no longer the lanky, pre-teen girl he remembered from his own teen years.
She was all woman.
And he wanted her.
There’s just one problem. She’s his sister’s best friend. And there is no way he can have her.
But he can’t stop thinking about her no matter how hard he tries.
Could he somehow convince her that it didn’t matter? That love could be worth it?

this was a really great book in this series! she loves to fly. only it can be very lonely at times. one night she meets her best friends older brother. boy has he changed. will she cross the line? read to find out what happens.
This is one of those books that I tell myself I can read a bit then put it down to go to sleep…
But as you can guess I end up just binge reading the book until I look at the clock and it’s 2:30 am and I’m finally finishing the book.
*side note* just to be fair, I only tend to get alone time to read after 8 pm when the kids are finally in bed. *end side note*
Sloan Hayes is my kind of woman. She’s not a pushover kind of woman. She works hard and yet plays harder…or at least when she has the time. But lately she’s starting to feel the wear on her that all the traveling has done and misses seeing her friends and family. Everyone else around Sloan knows that she’s headed toward a burnout, but Sloan being as hard-headed as she is, she won’t listen to what anyone else says unless she discovers this for herself. A change is needed for Sloan, but she’s not exactly sure what kind of change it is she needs.
Sloan is in for a big surprise when the change she finds ends up being a guy…but not just any guy, her best friend Camilla’s older brother Asher. Nothing was suppose to happen, it was only ever suppose to be a friendship. But one can never deny the kind of chemistry Sloan experiences in Asher’s presence.
Now the only question left is how is their relationship suppose to last when she lives in Ohio and Asher lives in London?
This was a good story. I really like how their relationship slowly progressed. Their relationship struggles and life situations were realistic, which makes a story more believable and enjoyable. The friendship these three girls have is so amazing – I look forward to reading about the other two in future books. The issues Asher has with his dad is all too often the result of no communication. I liked the way this author handled this and also how the issue was resolved. You were not told everything but enough to let you know it is progressing. There are not a lot of characters in this book which I liked since that gets confusing at times. But the ones that you do read about all have great personalities and characteristics that make each of them unique and fun to read about.

I loved spending some of my time with these wonderful characters in this first book of the series
This was such a fun story! I loved the main characters and liked the whole will they or won’t they theme to this semi forbidden plot line. I hope to read more from this author
Sloan, Camilla and Hazel are lifelong friends- there were moments their banter had me laughing out loud. In a chance meeting Sloan falls hard for Camilla’s brother, Asher. Their relationship is hot and heavy but being thousands of miles apart will the relationship work? And what about Camilla’s and Sloan’s friendship. A fun, sexy romance.
3.5 stars.
Fun and sexy. A fast-paced whirlwind best friend’s brother romance. A steamy read perfect a late night read.
Sloan’s a pilot and loves to fly, but it isn’t thrilling anymore. Asher is her BF’s older brother and remembers Sloan from when they were kids. A chance meeting in London and sparks start to fly. Can they navigate a relationship and tell their families? She’s a pilot after all.
3.75 stars. I appreciated its brevity (not dragging along issues just to add tension or drama) but at the same time, that was one FAST relationship. The beginning of the book seemed to take more time while the end was one big steamroll. I would’ve appreciated more details into the relationship between Asher and his father.
What I liked about the book was the strong female character and her friends, the humor, and the bonds they shared. I’d definitely read the next book in the series.
Sloan and Asher’s story is amazing. The progression of their relationship was at the speed of light, but when it’s right… Sloan, Cam and Hazel are great and hilarious friends, and I look forward the other stories in the series.
Loved this introduction to this new series. Great characters and plot.cant wait for more to come. Hoping Cam is next.
Loved Slone and Asher’s story. Slone runs into her best friends brother after quite a few years and they fall for each other despite trying to keep it casual. Now will they over come all that stands in their way? You will have to read to find out. I absolutely cannot wait for the rest of this series!
The whole thing felt rushed.
The timeline was terrible. A true whirlwind romance it lasted maybe three months between introduction and proposal. Time is actually needed for love. Commitment, the willingness to stick, can be instantaneous or never happen but love needs time to grow. When it’s all sex and fun it’s easy to believe you love someone. But getting pissed at each other, getting sick, not having sex and all the other stuff of life shows you who you love. And you either fall deeper or you lose what you started out with. So having them just live and talk to each other as they made their decisions would have been better than three huge life changing events in a row.
I never felt connected to any of the characters. The girls read as far too similarly (and occasionally were even confused in the story itself such as when Sloane is speaking as if she’s the one who works in the hospital with Nash when she isn’t), their personalities too crass and abrasive, and Justin as just a rich guy who wanted what he wasn’t supposed to have. It’s also contradictory that they’re all supposed to be so tight they even know which vibrators they all use yet they seem to be good at keeping secrets from each other. All that said, the writing, pacing, and even plot weren’t bad so I understand why others enjoyed it.
