Julia Duke has watched her brothers fall in love, and it’s her turn. But after a rude ex complained she was terrible between the sheets, her confidence is shot. She’s not looking for love, but one Friday night — love finds her.Bennett and Cash take one look at the fiery redhead and can’t resist seducing her into their arms. Nothing will stop … will stop them from making her theirs. Not the a-hole ex boyfriend, and not a scandalous past that may change the way she looks at one of them forever.
Now that Julia knows what it’s like to be loved by some Grade-A Beefcake, she’s willing to do whatever it takes to keep her men, no matter who she has to fight to get her happily-ever-after: the rumor-mill, the law, her crazy ex, or herself.
Remember: With a Vanessa Vale book, one cowboy is never enough. In this smokin’ hot series, each heroine gets an extra helping (or two) of Grade-A Beefcake.

This is another great read in this wonderful, steamy series. It has great characters and a steamy storyline. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Julia Duke is organizing a bachelorette party for Ava when she mistakenly thinks the two men who just walked in are the strippers for the party. Embarrassed, she hopes the men will forgive her mistake and not judge her for the rumours/truths that surround her family.
Cash & Bennett are new to town and never thought anyone would mistake them for strippers but the two can’t deny their attraction for Julia.
Julia has low self-esteem due to an ex-boyfriend and can the men show her what she is worth? Can Cash overcome his own doubts about himself after an incident in the past and believe that he has something to offer Julia?
This was a great quick read that is filled with sizzling scenes!
I really liked Julia and I felt bad that she had no self-esteem when it came to love and relationships due to her previous relationships. She had absolutely no clue on why Cash and Bennett could be interested in her and she wondered if they knew about her family and their different relationships. I truly hate how men can alter how we feel about ourselves!
Cash and Bennett were pure alpha male and I always find it interesting when men share women yet have no attraction to each other. The scene on the phone was totally hot and it was definitely a way of bringing her slowly around!
It was interesting to see how Cash dealt with his own demons and how he wanted to run as he never felt good enough.
I thought the scene with Frank and the family dinner were great!! I was surprised at who knew what! – By Rebecca
Skirt Steak is the 5th book in Grade-A Beefcakes Series. We have already been introduced to the Duke boys and now we are introduced to Julia Duke (she is skirt steak) their sister.
All Julia’s brothers had names of steaks that it is only fitting that their sister has one too. Fortunately, there is a skirt steak which is fitting for a woman. I loved Julia’s personality. Her mouth seems to run away from her at times. Like when she first meets Bennett and Cash. She mistakes them for the strippers that she hired for Ava’s (Julia’s middle brother is marrying Ava) bachelorette party.
I found myself either giggling or just LOL while reading Skirt Steak. Usually it was something that Julia said or did. I loved it!
Julia wastes no time getting with the mistaken strippers, Bennett and Cash. There were sparks flying between these three!
I enjoyed reading this conclusion to this cuts of meat series! Sir Loin of Beef, T-Bone, Tri-Tip, Porterhouse and last but not least Skirt Steak. 4.5 stars
Sassy baby sister Duke takes the cake
—>>> Mistaken identity is the reason for the strange encounter while preparing for a bachelorette party, but this definitely broke the ice between Julia and Cash and Bennett, newcomers to her town. Instantly drawn to this woman, Cash and Bennett do not waste any time making their intentions clear that they would like to claim her for themselves, despite her sadly lacking recent dating history where she is still licking her wounds from nasty remarks made by her ex. Like her, both men have histories, and while one may have issues which may throw a wrench into the romancing works, they all find a way to work their way to a more-than-satisfactory & hot HEA!
A steamy twist on girl meets guy and another guy! Steamy romance and happy “ever after for” an enjoyable escapist romp!
Skirt Steak is another great story from the talented Vanessa Vale this is Book five in The Grade-A Beefcakes series and it was fun and exciting a great addition to this series. Can I say I absolutely loved this book, Vanessa Vale has a great ability with her words she just has a way of bringing her characters to life. This is Julia’s story the youngest sibling in the Duke family. Julia is sassy and sexy but has been burned in the relationship department so when she meets two sexy alpha men is she ready for them. Cash and Bennett both have an incredible attraction for the feisty little red head they just met and that also brings out their protectiveness. Boy are there some really great sparks between these characters, this is in my opinion a great story with a bit of drama, great banter and definitely some heat. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Skirt Steak is book 5 in the Grade-A Beefcakes series by Vanessa Vale. This is a Duke sister getting her own story– Julia.Julia is the sole girl of the family who was sure that she was due to be alone the rest of her life. Sure that she was never going to find love like her brothers and cousins have found…. well, she was so wrong!! That’s when Cash and Bennett come into her life. She makes a mistake thinking about what they do for a living yet they still are interested in her and the sparks flare up between the 3 of them. Their love story is hot, intense, steamy and sweet. Julia has really bad self esteem and issues with trust so the men have their work cut out for then. Them together make a great couple and the story flows beautifully with purpose. I enjoyed reading Julia’s story with her 2 men. Beautifully written with heart.
My Rating: 4.5 stars *******
The fifth book in Vanessa Vales series made me love the series even more! Julia is the youngest of the family and has watched everyone around her find and fall in love….and now it’s her turn! When a bachelorette party introduces her to 2 hotties, she can’t help herself. Julia, Cash and Bennett are more than hot. This book has it all. Angst, happiness, love, laughter. As soon as these three met they knew there was an undeniable chemistry that they couldn’t stop. I want this series to continue forever!
I am with out a doubt a fan of Vanessa Vale’s writing and I have devoured her books. I have loved the entire Grade A Beefcakes series and this book is Julia Duke’s turn at finding love. And does she ever find love!!! Cash and Bennett are a great match for Julia and I loved their connection. The only thing is…it all felt so rushed. I believe in love at first sight and insta lust and all that but to me it just felt that this whole book flew by! This book has the same great chemistry between our male leads and female leads but I would have liked to see more character development, especially with Cash the poor tortured sole that he is. I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review and I would recommend it !
Julia has an ex that claims she isn’t good in bed and the hit to her confidence has her at an all time low. She meets Bennett and Cash at a bar and the two men show her just what she does to them. This is a sexy, steamy read with plenty of cowboy action. One just isn’t enough when you can have two to play with in bed.
This author saves the best story of the series for the last. Julia has had to watch her brothers, cousin and their friends fall in love with a woman and she is left feeling “what about me”? When Julia is organizing a bachelorette party for her future sister-in-law things take a decidedly delicious turn when the “male strippers” show up. When Julia finds out the guys are not the entertainment for the night she is embarrassed but also intrigued because they have this undeniable chemistry from the beginning. Cash and Bennett are just as enamored with the Duke female as she is with them and they pursue Julia from the beginning. They help her overcome her insecurities her douche of an ex instilled in her and they do it perfectly. Can they convince her to take a chance with them? I am sad to see this series come to a conclusion, but I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next!!
Skirt Steak is book five in the Grade-A Beefcakes series by Vanessa Vale. I’ve loved this series from the start. I’ve loved getting to know the Duke family. I was really looking forward to the only daughter of the family’s story. The three main characters of this book really stole my heart. They had real issues from their pasts to deal with and my heart hurt for them. But it was because they hadn’t met each other yet. Because once they did, everything changed.
Julia Duke was the youngest of the Duke siblings and the only daughter. All of her brothers were over protective. Julia couldn’t help but be jealous of her brothers. They had all found their perfect matches. They had all found “the one.” They were all in unusual relationships with two men and one woman. Why couldn’t she find just one decent guy? Her last boyfriend had been awful to her. Had said things to her that left her with terrible self doubt. He had left her feeling inadequate and unable to make any man happy.
Cash Carter was the owner of Carter’s Auto. He had moved there to help out his uncle and take over the shop. He was also running from something else. Something that permanently tarnished his reputation. He needed a fresh start. His best friend Bennett who built custom motorcycles, came with him. Bennett was very successful and very wealthy. He was tired of being used for his name or his wealth and wanted to start fresh with Cash.
“Could a heart, which had been empty for so long, just fill right up?”
When Cash and Bennett met Julia, they just knew. They knew she was the one for them. She was everything they ever wanted. Could they ever convince her to consider being in a relationship with both of them? Cash falls fast and hard. After one afternoon with Julia, his feelings are so strong. How can he bring this beautiful woman into his life knowing that she will suffer from the secrets of his past? Maybe the right thing to do is to get out now knowing that Bennett will take good care of her.
Julia has no idea what these men see in her. But her feelings for them are fast and strong. Her brothers all knew the minute they laid eyes on their women that they were the one! But not only is she plagued with feelings of inadequacy from her ex, it’s evident that Cash is hiding something.
This was short, sweet, and hot, hot, hot! As I said, the issues these three were dealing with were all real life issues. I felt terrible for the way Julia was made to feel about herself. And I loved the way Cash and Bennett made her feel about herself, treasured and beautiful.
This series has been so much fun. And the author says there is more to come. I can’t wait to see what she has in store for us next.
Vanessa Vale is one of those authors that I just can never get enough of. Her books are an auto one-click for me, and I am never sorry about it. Once again I find myself loving this Duke family. Skirt Steak is the 5th in this series and follows the only girl in the family, Julia. Julia is sure that she is destined to be alone and that she will never find the kind of love that her brothers and cousins have. In walks Cash and Bennett….
The three main characters in this one stole my heart. Bennett is steady and strong, sweet and oh so sexy, he had me swooning hard from the start. Cash is sweet sexy and a little damaged but no matter what has happened in his past he is not afraid to say how he feels.
While all of the books in this series can be read as a stand alone, I do recommend you read all of the books in this series. I love them all!
The beefcakes are back! This book is steamy hot, and I couldn’t wait to read Julia Duke’s story. This book is a little different than the others in the series, a little bit more serious, but still just as electric!
Julia grew up as the only girl in a house full of Duke boys. Now they have all grown up, found their place in life, along with their partners, and Julie is all alone! Julia has had a run of bad luck, as far as relationships go, and doesn’t think she will ever find her happy. Until Bennett and Cash. But what begins as a promising future, soon takes a turn when someone’s hidden past comes back to haunt them.
This book was just as much fun as the other Beefcake stories. I enjoyed Julia, Bennett and Cash’s story, as well as the undeniable connection the three had. I enjoyed the glimpses we caught of the characters from previous books, and really hope this isn’t the last we see of the Dukes!
While she’s thrilled for her brother’s and cousins all finding themselves in polyamorous relationships, Julia Duke is feeling a bit left out and would be happy to find just one man worth spending time with. When two sexy strippers show up at the bachelorette party she is helping to host, she’s all about flirting, because she knows there’s no chance of it going anywhere. But, when she finds out the sexy hunks she thought were strippers aren’t, she knows she’s out of her comfort zone.
Cash and Bennett take one look at Julia Duke and know she is the one for them. Now, they just need to make sure she realizes she is theirs! Not only will they have to convince Julia, they’ll also have to get through her protective brothers and deal with an issue from Cash’s past that might have Julia walking away for good.
I loved Skirt Steak! It was really exciting to finally get female side of a Duke relationship as Julia finally meets her matches!
Julia is so fiesty by nature, yet she is also unsure of herself . . . especially when it comes to men thanks to some rotten past relationships. Cash and Bennett are super alpha and immediately protective of Julia. They fall hard and fast, taken with Julia’s beauty, sense of humor and vulnerability to rarely shows the world. Cash’s baggage brings some drama to this love story . . . as does Julia’s ex.
Skirt Steak was hot and spicy, sweet, and, all kinds of naughty! 4 stars for this fun menage romance!
Skirt Steak is the fifth book in the Grade-A Beefcakes series. Julia is surrounded by a lot of love, wondering if she will ever find her own, and is shocked when she opens the door to fall in lust with two strippers. Cash and Bennett are not there for the party, but for Julia, and they feel the pull, too! Julia’s been burned before by a man, so will she be able to open her trust and heart for two men, or will their pasts get in the way of their happiness?
I really enjoyed this book and it may be my favorite of the series! Julia, Cash, and Bennett were so good together, so passionate, so caring, supportive, and I just loved them! I giggled a few times reading this book, I wanted to hug Julia, I loved Bennett’s unfailing support of Cash, and this book just tugged at my heart in that perfect way. Julia has been badly hurt from her ex, so she was cautious to start something new, but I loved that once she gave in, she gave her men her all. Plus I loved that she was so surrounded by love from her brothers and cousins that she finally got her own story. Cash had some of his own demons he needed to conquer, which added a little heartache to their relationship, but I think Bennett was just the best, with his quiet love, support, and dominance. He really was the rock that the other two could turn to in times of need. This series has just been amazing, I love Ms. Vale’s writing, and I already can’t wait to see what’s going to come next!
GAH!! I love the newest addition to the Grade-A Beefcakes series! I love a good MFM and Vanessa Vale is the Queen! This is more than a hawt read though – Skirt Steak has all the feels that you crave from Ms. Vale! Another 5 star read!!
Yay!!! Julia finally gets her story told. The little sister of the Dukes is about to get her life turned upside down. This little vixen meets her matches. Get ready to read a hot, steamy, wild story of Julia, Cash and Bennett.
Enjoyed this next edition of the Grade-A-Beefcakes series that revolves around Julia, youngest daughter if the Dukes and Cash and Bennett. After mistaking them for strippers for a bachelorette party and dropping her guard, she is intrigued by them and their none to shy flirting. After meeting Julia, Cash and Bennett decide that she is the one for them. As the relationship progresses, Cash thinks he is not good enough got her and pulls away. There is a happy ending but not before Cash’s past comes to light. The book is well written, moves at a fast pace, very sexual and a great read. I would highly recommend this book as a continuation if the series.
Skirt Steak is book five of the Grade A Beefcakes Series. This book can be read as a standalone, but for me, since Ms. Vale is really into detail about her characters I usually start with the first book of her series. The earlier characters somehow make an impact in the current book.
Julia Duke is the only sister of the Duke brothers. I liked her when she was introduced in book one. She’s feisty, sweet natured but a true freak. Her past relationship has her untrusting of the opposite sex and herself. Julia is leery of ever thinking she will find the right man, little does she know she’ll find not one, but two.
Cash is a city boy turned mechanic cowboy. Cash is rough, sweet but jaded from a past that people won’t let him forget. Coming to Montana is his way of starting over as owner of his uncle’s mechanic shop.
Bennette is a Motorcycle designer and mechanic. Rich bad boy with a sweet heart, moved to Montana to follow his H.S. best friend.
In each book of this series, the plot is always different from the last, which keeps the series fresh. Ms. Vale has a way of twisting the plot around so that, although the reasons for the plot are major, the coming out knowledge is not as bad as you first thought.
As always, Ms. Vale doesn’t disappoint I rated this book five out of five. The characters are really likeable, the plots are original and the men are lovable, but dominate.
