Ryder Kyle is a spoiled, self-righteous jerk. He doesn’t understand suffering. Entitled guy like him wouldn’t recognize desperation if it smacked him in his perfect face. I don’t need him, but I do need a ride west. I won’t let the guy who reminds me of the mess I left behind interfere with my plan to get to Los Angeles. This woman is nuts!People don’t sneak on a tour bus looking for shelter. … bus looking for shelter. That’s what crazy fangirls do, but she’s far from a fan. She says she’s homeless and asks for help by throwing insults. Her words are like a viper strike and she’s made me her target. We’re dumping her at the next stop.
Skipped a Beat is an enemies to lovers rock star romance that proves one seemingly insignificant choice can change the path of an entire life.
more
Skipped a Beat was a fun enemies to lovers rock star romance. We already met Jesse Lee and his bandmates in Playing by Heart, and this book focuses on Ryder, who is the drummer, and the son of Cameron Kyle from Fighting the Fall. I loved the connection to the Fighting series, and that the characters from that series made appearances in this book as well. Don’t worry though, this book can still be read as a stand-alone. I really loved how the two main characters, Ryder and Jade met, and I thought it was fun and original. Jade is down on her luck and sneaks on a tour bus looking for shelter. Jade definitely hasn’t had it easy, and is a bit of a man hater. She clashes with Ryder right from the start, and I think the attraction doesn’t make it easier for either of them. It was emotional at times and there was some drama, but nothing that was over the top in my opinion.
I was invested in the story and characters, and I loved getting to know them all better. I really hope there will be more books in this series, and that they will focus on the other two bandmates Chris and Ethan. It was nice to be reunited with Jesse Lee and Bethany, and hopefully his brother Ben will get his own book (I am keeping my fingers crossed)! I am a huge fan of Jamie’s writing style, it has such a great flow and it really draws you in. There was a lot of character growth and the romance was done really well. Jamie is definitely an author whose books I’ll automatically one-click, and get excited about before even reading a blurb. I look forward to what comes next in the Love, Hate, Rock-n-Roll series.
I am so in love with this book!!! OMG!!! Ryder is my new BBF!!! I fell in love with him in Playing By Heart and he does NOT disappoint in his own book! How could he considering his background. His family is from one of my very favorite series, the Fighting series! If you haven’t read it, you are SO missing out!!!
Ryder and Jade rub each other wrong right from the very beginning and it is hilarious! Ryder just keeps stepping in it no matter what he does. He is such a jackhole in the beginning of this book. And Jade, oh my! She’s tough as nails, but I love her! She’s determined to stand on her own two feet even with everything she’s been through.
There are enough sparks between these two to start a forest fire! And when Jade finally lets down her wall even a little bit, the heat factor soars! But she still holds part of herself back, feeling she’s not worthy of someone like Ryder. Thinking that when he knows her past he won’t want anymore to do with her. But Ryder is determined to win her over no matter what it takes.
There are some pretty big twists towards the end that will really surprise readers! And that ending! Swoon-worthy!!!
Man I loved this book so much! I can’t recommend it enough. It can be read as a standalone but I think it would be much better read after Playing By Heart!
My favorite quote: Music is the only thing that has the ability to unite all walks of life regardless of sex, socio-economic status, race.
I loved this story!!! I loved Ryder!!! This book will definitely leave you wanting to know more about Ryder’s band mates. You will fall in love with them all and want to know their stories.
This book isn’t your typical rockstar book, but for that I was happy!!!! You have the single rockstar, the married rockstar and the rockstar with a girlfriend! It was great to see how they all worked together.
Ryder is an alpha male! I loved his values and that he didn’t budge. He did things right! He was a perfect guy for Jade. But could he handle the secrets she had?
Jade has been through a lot in her life. Especially the last few years. She gave up her life and had nothing all because of guilt. She also doesn’t view herself the way she should. It was great to watch her grow and learn to love herself throughout this book!!
I loved watching Jade and Ryder fall. Watching them learn to trust. I cannot wait to read Chris and Ethan’s books. Especially Chris. I need to know how everything plays out for him.
Ryder Kyle’s Book is here! I Repeat, Ryder Kyle is HERE and he is swoon worthy! If I could give this more 10 stars I would!!! Ryder is the newest drummer in Jesse Lee’s band (the singer from Playing By Heart Book 1) While on tour a surprise stowaway ends up on their tour bus. Jade is homeless and just needs a break. When she stumbles upon a warm bus she sneaks onto it just wanting a ride. Can Ryder and the band give this girl a lift or will she make Ryder want to throw her off at the next stop? Ryder can’t decide if he wants to throttle Jade and Kiss her! This book was everything I hoped for and more! JB Salsbury knows how to write a Hero that you swoon for! The mix of comedy and sexual tension is perfect and I need all the bandmates books now! Love that we get more Jesse Lee and UFL men too. Get ready to go for a ride. Told in dual POV
Why did it take me so long to read book 2?! This book is everything! Emotional, funny, sad…
After a bad situation Jade finds herself homeless. After another bad situation, she seeks refuge and hides out on a bus, only to later learn it’s the bus of the Jesse Lee band. When the guys find her, they want to kick her out, but given her situation they find it in their heart to keep her on and tour with them while they make it cross country to LA where her destination is.
Not everyone was pleased by this decision. Rkyer, drummer, is immediately attracted to the girl and wants her off the bus in fear she will ruin his already rocky relationship with his girlfriend, who is indeed not there, despite her wanting to be.
As the trip goes on, sparks fly and the sexual tension is heavy! Her friendship with other band members grows his jealousy and like for her, and gives him more reason to break up with his girlfriend. I have to give him one thing – he’s honorable.
Once they are together, my oh my are they ever adorable. Ryker is literally a dream come true. Just jealous and protective enough to be sweet, hot in bed, and caring about Jade’s every need. While they didn’t get together till the last half/third of the book, I found the pacing perfect. Between the initial dislike for each other, into the developing attraction, caring, and feelings they have for one another, romance existed through the whole book.
Overall, such a cute read that earns all 5 stars I am giving it. The ending of this one gives us a peek into the next.
I loved this book! Ryder and Jade had so much chemistry from the beginning. Jade was fabulous. She was feisty and brave and gave Ryder a run for his money. I love Ryder he has strong morals and it was cute to see him so flustered around Jade. I loved that we got to see more of Jesse and Bethany and I loved LOVED that the Fighting gang made an appearance. I can’t wait for more books in this series!
This is my favorite in the series so far. I mean its Ryder Kyle – son of Cameron Kyle, CEO of the UFL from the Fighting series..
Each of these books feature a enemies to lovers romance which I think are my guilty little pleasures. Jade is broke, homeless and trying to get to California. Stuck in a restaurant on a cold and snowy night after being assaulted by the last ride she stows herself aboard a tour bus.
Next morning she is found by the band and Ryder thinks she is a thieving groupy and wants her thrown off but the driver and other band mates see that is not the case and let her stay.
The sarcastic banter between Ryder and Jade is comical and becomes even more so when it becomes a way for the two of them to fight the growing attraction between them.
Jade’s heartbreaking and secretive past are slowly revealed throughout the book. As the reader you fall in love with her as Ryder does.
Missing in the first book was up close look at the band and them on tour. Here, along with Ryder we also get plenty of face time with Chris and Ethan the other members who make up the band along with lead singer Jesse and Bethany from the first book.
This book is full of emotional feels on all levels. I hope there will be more books in this series..
Some men just need to be real.
So here’s the thing – rocker romances are a lovely trope. And as such, some are special and some are just time in your life you’re never getting back.
I loved this book. I loved Ryder. It’s always nice to come across just a genuinely good man. Not a damaged man in need of fixing or a man with demons that the woman had to endure and fight through. This man is an absolute dream, even when he was putting his foot in his mouth in the beginning. He was just perfection that I was just happy I got to experience.
Ryder and Jade were just beautiful. Jades story broke my heart and I truly felt just all the angst and self -doubt she’d been hanging on to.
I do have to say that this book had a moment that surprised me and that pushed it to a 5 star read for me. Most contemporary romances are very predictable. Generally something happens at that 80% mark – usually something the man does or says or some kind of misunderstanding. But nope – that is not what happened here. Or not what I’m referencing. There was most definitely some bomb droppage but we had to push the truth out and something had to happen for that to evolve. And it was awesome.
This has probably been one of my favorite Salsbury books to date. And that’s saying a lot, because she’s got some good ones.
This really was a great rockstar contemporary romance. And I am not one to give out five stars lightly.
5 massive stars!
OMG, this book! It’s everything! It’s funny, sexy, dramatic, emotional, sweet, heartfelt and exciting with a chemistry-filled rockstar romance that completely swept me off my feet. I laughed and cried, and I felt so much for these characters and their story. An amazing read, I freaking loved it!
This book follows on from Playing by Heart which you should absolutely read if you haven’t yet, because it’s a great book! However this book can easily be read as a standalone.
After a series of devastating life upheavals, Jade finds herself homeless and pretty much without hope as she hitchhikes her way across America to get to her mother in California. When she spies an RV at a truckstop, she stows away, hoping that her presence will go unnoticed and it will get her closer to her goal. She has no idea she had just hidden aboard the tour bus for one of the biggest names in rock – Jesse Lee (hero from book #1).
Ryder is the drummer for Jesse. He’s new to the band, but he’s loving the experience and relishing the opportunity to live out his musical dreams. He is less than impressed, however, to find a stowaway on the bus. He’s even more pissed when his bandmates take a liking to their feisty new traveling companion and offer to take her to LA – setting the scene for a fantastic road trip that is full of friction, animosity and blistering sexual tension.
From the moment that Jade and Ryder meet, sparks fly. And not of the sexy sparks variety. They hate each other, with every encounter full of bickering and snarkiness. But all of that animosity is covering up an attraction that both of them are desperate to avoid – Ryder because he’s in a relationship and Jade because she is recovering from a broken heart and wants nothing to do with men. Things become complicated when they realise that they enjoy their verbal sparring way too much, and things slowly begin to change.
“I couldn’t bear the thought of no longer seeing her. Feeling her scowl my way. Engaging in verbal spars. I concluded that as insulting as the woman can be, she makes my blood pump harder than anyone ever has.
There is something seriously wrong with me.”
This is SUCH a gorgeous romance! It moves quickly, but it feels slow moving, with plenty of time given to building the connection while playing off all of that epic sexual tension. I loved watching things shift between Jade and Ryder as they came to accept their feelings and get themselves into a position where they could act on it. The UST sizzles on the page, outdone only by the actual sexy time which is SO freaking hot. I could feel their chemistry, and loved watching it all build for them.
““This wasn’t supposed to happen.” I don’t recognize my own voice once the words rake up my chest and from my throat in a low grumble. “You were not supposed to happen.””
And it all unfolds while sharing a bus with Ryder’s bandmates in the middle of a country-wide rock tour…. Awesome!
But although they throw themselves all in physically, emotionally they are both holding back. Ryder has a secret pain that he carries close to his heart, and Jade has so many walls up around herself that it seems that nobody will ever be able to get through them. That, and their tour is drawing to its end, and neither of them can predict what will happen after that. It’s a complicated situation, and watching it play out is an exciting, entertaining, wildly unpredictable ride that I could not get enough of.
“I skipped a beat.”
I love these characters so much! Jade’s smart mouth hides a whole lot of vulnerabilities. She’s a complex character, and it takes a while to fully unravel her story, and my heart ached so much for her as we slowly got to know her. She’s kind and brave, and I love her willingness (however slow) to trust again, and what better man to do that with than Ryder. Because OMG, this man is perfection!
Ryder was first introduced to the JB Salsbury world in Fighting the Fall. And, stupid me, I didn’t even trigger about that link until it comes up in the story and I seriously squeed out loud! What a genius connection! It made me instantly feel even more for Ryder – the sweetheart rockstar with a filthy mouth and a heart of gold – and watching him fall for and pursue the woman he was falling so hard for was an absolutely beautiful ride!
“You can trust me with your heart, Jade. From now until I breathe my last breath.”
The other highlight of the book for me was the bond between Ryder and his bandmates. What a fantastic bunch of guys! I loved getting to see more of Jesse and Bethany, as well as spending time with the other members of Jesse’s band, Chris and Ethan. Their constant teasing and bantering is so much fun, and you can see how much they genuinely care for each other and I can only hope that we’ll get full length books for them in the future. And, of course, the tie in to the Fighting series was fantastic, and getting to see that crew in fun, tender and badass moments was absolute gold!
I loved every moment of this book. It hooked me from start to finish, and I felt everything right along with the characters. Funny, sexy, heartbreaking and so, so romantic, it’s a fantastic read and a fave for 2019.
5 stars!
This was over the top.
I didn’t expect to feel all of these feeling as I felt the tears fall ever so slowly on my cheeks as I turned the pages of this book. The chemistry of these characters was devastatingly beautiful. We first see Jade as a beautiful young women in love with an older man. Then suddenly she is homeless fighting for her life as she accepts a ride from a truck driver to get to her mother in LA. She ends up bruised coatless and hungry. She seeks refuge in a large custom RV, where she crawls under a table and over a vent for warmth and falls a asleep. In the morning Jade is awaken by three devastatingly handsome me, members of the countries most famous rock band. It’s here she meets Ryder who is not to happy she’s on board his band mates Chris and Ethan are more forgiving. The sexual tension between Ryder and Jade is undeniable. This is their story as they share, secrets and learn to trust. There are so many twist and turns you will not be disappointed in this beautifully written story.
I really, really liked this story! I have to be honest though, after reading the story blurb I was skeptical. The blurb just didn’t reel me in. If J.B. Salsbury wasn’t an author I enjoy, I probably would have given this book a pass. But, I am sooo glad I gave this book a read, I was delightfully surprised and entertained! The main characters don’t have insta-love (that comes later), but they do have insta-chemistry. Neither character wants to act on it for various reasons, so instead that tension leads to an insta-irritation relationship that gives the reader some hilarious, laugh out loud moments.
The author did a fabulous job creating her grouping of characters. The camaraderie of the bandmates is fun to read and as expected after being in close quarters touring for months on end, the relationships have reached a point that allows for more interesting interactions/stories. These bandmates don’t disappoint. Any possible moment for ribbing each other isn’t left untouched! Each bandmate has a quirkiness that readers love and the bandmates exploit! Again, cue the laugh out loud moments.
Now, back to our main characters… These Jade and Ryder don’t know how to handle an attraction they can’t act on. They instantly get under each other’s skin, bringing out the worst in each other. This doesn’t work out well for Ryder, it pushes him to say things he doesn’t mean. Which sometimes is hilarious and other times builds a huge divide he can’t catapult. During the tour Ryder and Jade circle each other as their relationship evolves. However, each has issues that needs to be addressed before a relationship can begin. Will they be able to see past those issues to build something that could be beautiful?
“I was watching her slowly unfold to reveal her most sincere desire, and as soon as I saw it I knew I instantly want to be the one to provide it.”
Jade fears Ryder sees her as a damsel in distress waiting to be saved?
“He’s never given me a reason not to trust him, and yet I don’t. He’s only ever made me feel safe and protected, and yet I fear at any moment, he’ll break me. He’s only ever wanted to keep me close, and I pushed him away.”
Will they be able to get past everything, except each other for who they are and what they need?
This was a very enjoyable and compelling story with fun characters. I felt like I was on tour with them and included in on the hilarious and tender moments. This is a book not to miss!!
I read an ARC of this book. My honest and fair review is voluntary.
I’ve held off on writing a review for this book because I’m afraid I simply do not have the words to describe how much I.LOVED.IT!
I just can’t do it justice, but after taking some time to process my thoughts, I will make an attempt.
While the cover of this book is beautiful, I also think, for some, it might give the impression that the contents are light and fluffy which is so not the case.
Of course JB Salsbury is remarkably talented and has a way of incorporating some laugh out loud humor and plenty of smiles along the emotional journey which makes reading her books a truly well rounded enjoyable experience.
Jade and Ryder are the very definition of enemies to lovers.
From the first hilarious/awkward encounter they both assume the worst about one another and it only escalates with Jade’s constant prickliness and Ryder’s “foot in mouth” syndrome.
There’s drama, angst, and a sizzling chemistry that will have you anxiously looking forward to the moment they both give in!
Not to mention cameo appearances by a few favorite MMA fighters had me feeling positively giddy!
There was just so much story in this one book and the way this authors writing sucks you in will have you immediately invested!
I need more, I crave more. I want to bury myself in this world just to observe!
But while I (im)patiently wait for the next book in the series all I can say is Skipped a Beat is def one you don’t want to miss!
Skipped a Beat is an enemies-to-lovers trope that is a little light on the enemies – which makes it perfect for me. Don’t get me wrong, there’s plenty of antagonistic banter, and fiery shows of temper in the beginning. But it was easy to see that all that fire was masking a deeper burn and I loved the chemistry that sparked relentlessly between Ryder and Jade.
And…ohmygosh y’all. There are not enough stars (or giant heart eyeballs) to convey the awesomeness that is Ryder Kyle. This swoony rockstar hero is in a league of his own, and I am so hopelessly in love, I don’t even know where to begin with counting all the ways. He’s sexy as sin, alpha without being overbearing, and adorably playful when the mood strikes him. But it was his giant, relentlessly loving, steadfast, and loyal heart that but the hearts in my eyeballs and the butterflies in my belly. I completely adored him and even now, having turned the last page, I’m not quite ready to let him go.
While Ryder sort of stole the show for me, Jade was a pretty fierce heroine in her own right. She’s a wounded heroine, but I loved her spirit and great big beautiful (well protected) heart. I found the walls around her heart frustrating sometimes as information was doled out in bits and pieces, and I really thought I knew how her storyline was going to play out. But Ms. Salsbury zigged when I thought she was going to zag and while there were some mini twists I saw coming, there were others that took me by complete surprise and in the end I found myself completely consumed by this book, all-in emotionally, and enthusiastically cheering for Ryder and Jade’s happily-ever-after.
I am also so in love with this band. They keep breaking my heart, even as they persistently weasel their way into it, making me laugh and swoon and hurt so good. There’s a fair amount of drama here, and I couldn’t get enough of it. I want so much more and am already dying for the stories to come.
In all? This was another A+ rockstar romance for me. The banter, the heat, and the swoon-factor were all 100% on point, and on top of that? It was completely compelling and interesting to read. Addictive. Brilliant. And I am already in line for the next one.
I loved this book! Ryder is a drummer on tour when Jade sneaks aboard their bus trying to get to LA. Jade is homeless and seriously down on her luck. She is leaving behind her life after uncovering a devastating lie. When they first meet they do nothing but rub each other the wrong way, and there are secrets and obstacles to overcome all while living on a bus with three other guys. I was left wondering about Charles and Chris, but otherwise I really enjoyed this read. As a side note I loved the tie-in to The Fighting Series. I don’t want to give any spoilers so I will leave it at that.
5 Rhythm Is Kind Of His Thing Stars!!!
This book is literally the best of two worlds for me… we’re even more deeply immersed in the world of Jesse Lee and his bandmates as they’re on a US Tour AND we’re on the peripheries of the Fighting Series because Ryder Kyle…for those of you who don’t know who Ryder is, which I can’t fathom, is the son the Cameron Kyle owner of the UFL in Ms. Salsbury’s Fighting Series!!!
Ryder is this sexy as all get out drummer for the band and our heroine Jade is a young woman that has truly fallen on some hard times. We don’t get to how hard her life is until a good way into the book but everything that happens to this point is truly moving, emotional, steamy, sexy and gave me ALL THE FEELS!!
Jade has decided to “hitch” a ride with boys when their bus stops at truck stop where she’s trying to figure out her next move and what ensues after she gets on their bus had me chuckling several times… the boys not knowing she’s there talk freely and let’s just say that’s some eff’d up dreams!!!
While everyone in the band, except Ryder, is okay with Jade tagging along for a ride to the West Coast, Ryder makes his feelings clear…what he doesn’t admit to is how he truly feels about this beautiful girl. This of course leads to some very interesting and electricity filled moments….
“There aren’t many times in my life where I’ve been so overwhelmed by a person that I can’t think clearly enough to find the words to excuse myself from their presence. If I’m being honest, I’ve never been overwrought by anyone…. Until now.”
There’s a very clear chemistry between Jade and Ryder and their moments together make it clear there’s a draw to them as well. But there’s some obstacles in the way, like Ryder’s girlfriend, and I use that term loosely, as well as what Jade is hiding. Things start to come to head though when the band lands in Vegas.
By this time, these two have flirted as much as they’ll allow their hearts to feel and Ryder is determined to not take that next step until he’s free and clear. In the meantime, ALL the boys and their wives and kids show up for their concert and Oh My Stars I was GIDDY!!! We truly get to see Ryder in both worlds, and I had a smile a mile wide on my face!!!
When things move to the next step for our H/h they’re truly explosive and I found myself fanning myself because they’re that hot together. But there’s still things Jade is hiding….
“He thinks I’m just a normal twenty-seven-year-old girl who found herself on hard times and he managed to save. A modern-day Cinderella… He has no clue.”
There’re a couple points in this book that had me in tears, the first was completely and totally unexpected and I was truly flabbergasted by it! Talk about throwing a curve ball in our way! Once I made it through that though, we see the slow burn for Ryder and Jade truly heat up and then it happens. I’m a bawling mess!!! Ryder brings Jade fully into his life and everything and everyone that’s in it and I just didn’t know what to do with myself. It was beautiful, moving, emotional and while I was crying they truly were happy tears. It’s a true pivotal moment for our lovers….
“Love is no secrets. Love is exposing every aspect of yourself to another person and trusting they aren’t gonna run at what they see or use what they learn to crush you. Above all else, love is honesty, loyalty, and a commitment to weather all the storms together.”
For me, this book is EVERYTHING!! I completely and totally devoured Ryder and Jade’s story and their path to love. Ms. Salsbury has written a book that is a true love story but it also deals with some hard topics and life altering moments but it’s all done with grace and beauty, humor in all the right places, and ultimately a soul-stirring connection between two people that cannot be denied!
Ryder is a great rock star hero!! I would say he definitely falls more into the good-guy category, but the book still has plenty of grit and drama. I enjoyed this book overall. The couple had great chemistry from the beginning but definitely didn’t like each other at first, or at least they tried to convince themselves that was the case, so the relationship develops over a little bit of time. For those that have read this author’s Fighting series, the quick cameos from the Vegas/MMA crew are a great little bonus. I will note that this book, which book 2 in the series, reads very well as a standalone and could be read without having first read book 1 (although some elements of that book would be spoiled a bit by reading this one first). I had a few minor things I didn’t love about this one. Overall I liked Jade too, but I didn’t love the way the author wrote her as having this amazing smile that made any guy’s eyes glaze over and them become immediately enamored and stupid – even married or already happy in love guys. That was a little bit
Cheesy for me. But, I was pulled into the story the entire time and so that one minor thing didn’t ruin the book for me in any way. If you like rocker books, I would recommend this one!
I’m delighted with this book! Not only J.B. Salsbury gave us an amazing story of enemies to lovers, which is also a rockstar romance, I survived blast from the past thanks to the appearance of the characters from Fighting series. I love these types of surprises! Skipped a Beat is a really great story that shows us how assumptions can cloud our judgments and that encounters that started from a bad foot may turn out to be the best that has happened in our lives.
Jade’s life suddenly changed by 180 degrees. In one moment she had a steady job, a loving older boyfriend with whom she made plans for the future, and in the blink of an eye she was jobless, lonely and homeless. Desperation makes her sneak on the bus to get a free ride and seek temporary shelter. However, she’s quickly discovered and it turns out that the bus that she chose is not just any bus… Because the vehicle belongs to the world-famous rockstar Jesse Lee and her travel companions are Jesse’s bandmates. And one of them – Ryder Kyle – seems to dislike her very much and spares no words to express his disapproval…
Although the banter between Jade and Ryder was really strong, the reader immediately can feel the amazing chemistry that connects these two. Unfortunately, Ryder has a girlfriend and Jade sworn off the men, so the emotions choking them find an outlet in the form of mutual insults. However, in the course of time and miles, these two are slowly growing on each other. Skipped a Beat is full of sexual tension, amazing swoony moments, jealousy and possessiveness, as well as the hope that both Ryder and Jade will end up together and live their happily ever after. Ryder’s character swept me off my feet- he’s so sweet and caring, but at the same time he’s dirty-mouthed and we can sense a bit of alpha in him. Jade on the other hand is my favorite type of heroine – despite the really bad life situation she’s strong, though and she gives twice as hard as she gets. And the bad cards that life gave her didn’t extinguish the goodness that fills her heart. In addition to the slow-paced romance between our main couple, we also have amazing supporting characters in this book, who despite arousing interest in their own stories, didn’t shadowed the main couple. I can’t wait to read their own books, especially Chris and Ben’s!
J.B. Salsbury has created a beautiful story- a little angsty, but also swoon-worthy. Every second of this read was a pleasure and I recommend this book with all my heart!
Skipped a Beat by J.B. Salsbury is a 5 Star rock-n-roll enemies to lovers romance!!!!!
Everything I love about rock-n-roll romance is burning hot on the pages of Skipped a Beat, sexy irresistible rockers with their magnetic bad boy vibes living life on a tour bus from one exciting city to the next with die hard groupies willing to do pretty much anything to get a moment with the rock stars of their dreams!! Now take all that awesomeness and add in the heated intense sizzling chemistry of enemies to lovers, sparks flying between the H/h while dancing on that thin tantalizing line of hate/love and it all equals undeniable explosive passion between the swoony drool worthy drummer Ryder and the gorgeous take-no-crap sassy Jade!!
Ryder and Jade instantly misevaluate each other which leads to mutual feelings of simmering hate wrapped up in rockin chemistry that once ignited is destined to explode into a scorching love….. but will these two continue to hide their truths or finally let their hearts beat together????
I loved this second book in the Love, Hate, Rock-n-Roll series just as much as book 1 and can’t wait for more about these sexy bad boy rockers!!!
Your Heart will literally skip a beat!!
I devoured this book. Once you start reading you won’t want to stop. This is the perfect Rock Star book. I absolutely loved everything about this book. The instant attraction between Jade and Ryder is off the charts. They may act like they hate each other but that couldn’t be further from the truth. This book has moved to the top of my list for favorite book so far in 2019. Pick up this book and read it…you won’t be disappointed!!
