Enjoyable
Loved the descriptions of the south. I am really into genealogy and old home restoration so this book really got to me on that level. Plus, it was a really good murder mystery.
You won’t believe “who done it”! Lively and pulls you along. Good characters. Wish I had read Tin God first to understand some of the interplay of characters. Reading it next.
I read many books depicting life from this era. This one left me with a new perspective. The book transported me and left an indelible mark.
Entertaining read if you like mysteries. More romance than I’m usually inclined to read but not overly gooey. Liked the descriptive account of the old house, it gives my mind an image to go with the story.
Great read
quick reading and in enjoyed the characters and the situations Am looking forward to others in the series.
Love a great murder mystery, and this is it! All of her books are above par!
Really enjoyed this one!
Good read, bit of romance (not my thing, but it wasn’t over played), second book with the same characters. Haven’t read the first one, but it didn’t reveal much about the first story, which enticed me to get it too! Love the history and ideas from old homes secret passages. Quick read even for a slow reader as me. Great story build up!
One of Stacy Green’s best.
Antebellum mansions in Mississippi, with a hidden treasure in a hidden room. Oh, and murder. What more could you want?
Was worth the read. Somewhat predictable but enough twists and turns to keep you interested. Sometimes characters did dumb things which put them in danger kind of like a b horror movie. The story line was good and well told. I would.rwad.this autjor again when I need a lighter read.
Great story. Kept you wanting to finish.
I really enjoy the historical structures and building of old antebellum homes and this book delivered. A good mystery kept the reader guessing the outcome. Enjoyed the book very much.
Fun book to read.
Very good read. Kept me guessing til the end. Would highly recommend this book.
Good vacation read
Good read , kept me up way beyond my bedtime!
Slow, was it a mystery or a romance?
