A good read
Good read
Would recommend it to everyone.
I found this book to be a very interesting read. The way the characters developed throughout the book was attention getting when you consider the attitudes that people have from different areas of the country. I really enjoyed the twisted tale in that I really had no idea who the culprit was until the very end of the book. I look forward to reading more books by Stacy.
Page turner.
The second book in this triology was as good as the first. Great writing.
It’s not often nowadays to find a book that doesn’t have a predictable plot. This one doesn’t.
Didn’t want to put it down!
Loved this book. Loved the characters and written about one of my favorite reads, plantation homes!!
EXCELLENT !!!! This is such an exciting and fun murder mystery. I really enjoyed it. Great writing
Liked the Southern setting with the mystery of the prior owners. The setting and involvement of various historical homes brought the old South to life.
I would read this again.
I just finished reading, Skeleton’s Key, A Delta Crossroads Novel, by Stacy Green, and enjoyed it, immensely. From start to finish, it was interesting, suspenseful, and exciting — the embodiment of the “page-turner”. A young, fast-talking northern woman, arriving in Mississippi, missing her central air-conditioning, but professionally interested in preservation and restoration. A couple of terrific male and female cops. An old murder; a couple of new ones. An antebellum mansion with its many secrets. And, of course, an unhealthy dose of evil. I was happy to lose sleep over this well-plotted, well-written thriller.
The story was okay, but the level of writing was not very good. There are apparently more of these books in the series, but I had no desire to read them.
I enjoyed this book and had trouble putting it down.
Good characters and twisty plot
Enjoyed this tale of an antebellum house and it’s secrets.
I kept picking the wrong guilty person, which means the author did a great job leading us to believe who was guilty. I didn’t mind being wrong though!!
This book had a wonderful cast of characters including an intriguing antebellum home, and the hot humid weather of Missippi. I enjoyed the mystery without it being a graphic and troubling murder. Enjoyable and nicely written.
Loved the historical house renovations and the details brought out about the homes. True southern aspects about northerners who just don’t understand the meaning of family and respect.
