Mission: Six

This is thrilling, dramatic and romantic. T-Mac is tough, brave, stubborn, caring and amusing. Kinsley is strong, determined, brave and impulsive. The SEALs get 2 new members temporarily, a bomb sniffing canine, Agar, and his handler, Kinsley. Sparks ignite between T-Mac and Kinsley, and though they know they could both lose their careers, they can’t keep their hands off each other. T-Mac falls hard and wants a relationship, but Kinsley already lost one man to war, she wasn’t willing to risk heartache, and her career, for anybody. There are intense, dangerous situations they come up against, which only brings them closer. The end is a wonderful wrap-up to the series.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.
Six Minutes to Midnight: Purchased in the Valiant Tracker two book collection
Review:
4 stars
I purchased a copy of the Harlequin military based romantic suspense novel Six Minutes to Midnight: Purchased in the Valiant Tracker two book collection: Mission 6 series book 6: T-Mac and Kinsley by Elle James and this review was given freely.
At times poignant, this action packed novel provides a good update on all the couples from the series while providing scenes of missions gone wrong, sabotage and arms dealing at Camp Lemonnier. The loan bachelor of the team of 6, Petty Officer Trace “T-Mac” McGuire laments his single status until Army Specialist Kinsley Anderson and her German Shepherd, Sergeant Agar, are assigned to his team and he finds himself falling in love with the targeted newbe he is ordered to protect.
18+ Contains some violence and mildly steamy scenes. Can be read alone but is best if read in sequence.
Elle James does it again. She writes with passion and the storyline and characters and complete with depth. The story featured Seal T Mac who has seen all his friends fall hard in love but says it’s not for him and Kinsley military dog handler. Love their story you must read.

Six Minutes to Midnight is book 6 in Mission: Six series by Elle James and another great addition to this series!
Trace “T-Mac” McGuire has watched his Seal buddies fall in love but it’s not for him. While waiting for their next mission in Africa before they head stateside again, he runs into Army Specialist Kinsley Anderson, dog handler and Agar her IED detecting dog. There’s something about Kinsley that attracts T-Mac but he knows fraternization is not permitted…now what’s he going to do?
Kinsley and Agar are on their first mission to keep the Seals safe from IED’s but while clearing hot spots she and her dog are shot and nearly blown up. T-Mac knows he needs to get her and the dog back to camp ASAP but what comes next will keep you on the edge of your seat…
I received an ARC copy of this book and I chose to review it. I loved this book. It is well written and a very good story line. This is book six in this series. The characters are wonderful, they are so real. I encourage everyone to get this book. It isn’t erotic but it is steamy. This is worth your time and effort. This is a wonderful read!!! I have been reading Elle James for a long time and each one of them are fantastic!!!!
I really enjoyed this story! The characters were great and I loved that the heroine was a military dog handler. There was plenty of action and intrigue to keep me entertained and engaged throughout the whole story. It flowed nice and smooth and so didn’t feel like it was super long. Once I started reading it, I wanted to continue until I found out everything that was going on. We know pretty quickly that there is a traitor on the base but not who it is. I liked how Kinsley handled herself and the situations that she found herself in. It was great to see T-Mac again as well and see him find his happily ever after. He had been trying to avoid it but once he runs into Agar and Kinsley, it’s over. He tries to deny it for a short while because of the no fraternization rule but it’s just not possible. The sex is fairly explicit and it is blended into the story well. There’s not a lot of it as the situation they are in just doesn’t allow for that. I really enjoyed the story and the little bit of extra that we get about all of the teammates at the very end of the book. This book is the 6th in the series but it can be read as a standalone easily.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
The final chapter! We’ve been on adventure after adventure with this closeknit group of SEALs, and it’s a pleasure to see Trace find his true love before they head stateside again! The entire series gave us an in depth look at the countryside of Africa as they traversed it, and gave us a glimpse into some of the unjust that could be happening at any time. It was a powerful series and I really enjoyed it. Great to get caught up with all of the other guys before it was all wrapped up!
When Navy SEAL Trace “T-Mac” McGuire encounters Army specialist Kinsley Anderson and her explosives detecting K-9 partner, he is awestruck. He’s not usually taken in just by the looks of a lady, but there’s something about how she carries herself as she’s working alongside them in a dangerous situation that really attracts him to her. When he’s assigned protection duty of the lovely dog handler and her canine, he takes his job seriously.
Kinsley doesn’t want any special treatment because she’s a woman. She’s trained hard with her canine Agar to come here to assist in saving as many of our guys as possible by stopping the bomb destruction before it can happen. T-Mac is quite the distraction … but a fairly welcome one in the end!
Definitely recommend
One heck of an amazing read that is a non-stop bundle of suspense! The nail-biting storyline will keep you on edge with anticipation for making the perfect choice and a great HEA! Emotionally engrossing, witty, exciting and enjoyable! Lip-biting hot chemistry! An amazing bad boy must read that will have you rooting for Mr. Right to take a hike!

Army Specialist Kinsley Anderson and Sergeant Agar (her bomb sniffing dog) are excited about getting their first frontline job assignment. Trace “T-Mac” McGuire, a member of one of the SEAL teams on this mission, is assigned to protect Kinsley. The mission goes sideways but it appears there was a setup to ambush the Team. Several were injured, including Kinsley. As a result T-Mac takes his protection assignment even more seriously, but being close to Kinsley is affecting him personally. This is where the story gets more intense and action-packed until the end. Another good read in the Mission: Six series.
The author saved the best for last. While each of the books in the series were fast moving, action packed, page turning, quick reads, this was by far the best one. The SEALs are ready to be redeployed to their home base in Virginia. At the begining of the series, they were all confirmed bachelors, believing that it was impossible to maintain a relationship with a woman, when they would always be going on dangerous missions. However, by this book, all but T-Mac, have found their “one”, are working on making the relationships work and matching making to find a woman for T-Mac. Before they can return home, they are sent on a mission to find a traitor in their midst, who is selling arms to the Al-Shabaab terrorists in Somalia. Sent along on this mission is new comer, specialist Kinsley Anderson and her IED detecting dog, Agar. T-Mac is assigned to keep her safe, but also finds himself falling for her and despite the no fraternization rules, the feelings are mutual. To avid readers, the identity of the traitor is clear, but not really revealed until the end. Now that the last book is done, I feel the need to read the whole series back to back.
I received a free, advanced copy of this book from the publisher. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.
I have really enjoyed this series. It was good to see T-Mac finally give up his bachelor ways when he meets the right woman. Kinsley is strong and T-Mac really respects that, but he also wants to protect her. They clash as first because T-Mac doesn’t think she should go on a mission with them, but she proves that she is quite capable. Still T-Mac is very protective and doesn’t want her in danger. They went from 0 to 60 pretty fast, but when it is right, it is right. The problem is that she is Army and he is Navy. When would they ever see each other? Long distance relationships do not work very well. What can they do?
Kinsley is in the Army, she is a doghandler, and her dog is trained to sniff out explosives. She is also on her first assignment in Djibouti. Trace (T-Mac) McGuire is a Navy SEAL, at first he isn’t crazy about the idea of a female dog handler joining them on their mission. Kinsley is thrilled that she and her dog are to be included in a mission to keep weapons out of the hands of terrorists, but it could be her last.
I think this is a must read military romance with strong, sexy, and fascinating characters. A plot with lots of action, suspense, a mysterious and deadly traitor, as well as a wonderful happily ever after. Fantastic book!
I am voluntarily leaving an honest and nonincentivized review of this ARC.
Six Minutes to Midnight
Elle James
Can a Navy Seal and an Army dog handler ever be together? In this book Trace, T-Mac, meets Kinsley overseas. After working together sparks fly, but have to be put on hold. Action packed with strong characters showing loyalty and support through hair raising missions. Can there be a way for them to be together? What does Fate have in store for them?
A fast pace story from beginning to the end.
Six Minutes to Midnight by Elle James is book #6 in her Mission: Six series. This team of Navy SEALs has been busy saving lives on deployment in Africa. When this story begins the team is slated to return stateside in four days, the team members are teasing “T-Mac” Trace McGuire about being the only team member without a girlfriend and T-Mac meets the new dog handler Kinsley Anderson and her IED detecting dog Agar just prior to the team being sent out on a mission with Kinsley and Agar.
The action is plentiful in this book and the plot is very well-thought-out and kept me guessing. I loved meeting Kinsley and Agar and totally enjoyed T-Mac meeting his “one” and the development of their relationship. Elle James has another winner in this story. The whole series is great!
