I’m a monster. But I don’t mind. It does make it hard for others to love, though… tell him what I am. I expect him to back off.
He doesn’t.
He’s not scared of me.
And I don’t understand it.
I don’t understand how this handsome, headstrong prince looks as me as if I’m the most beautiful thing on the Six Isles.
Makes it hard for me to focus. To be professional.
He’s clearly an idiot if he thinks he can redeem me.

This box set, is filled with action and intrigue, it has a great storylines. The interaction and chemistry between the characters is wonderful. I can’t wait for more from this author. I received this first two books as a FREE ARC copy to read and then this box set. I voluntarily leave this review.
I reviewed the first two books of this series separately earlier. It’s nice to get these four books together in a set. The author has done an excellent job of creating a complex alien world of wealthy dragon shifters and humans, some of whom are witches. The dragons live above the planet’s surface on floating islands; the humans either live and work with them or live in a not-to-pleasant place called Undercity. The common storyline running through these books is about the Creeping Rot, which is a disease that strikes without mercy, killing those in the society who have magic. In the first book, a witch is found who can heal those who are affected by the Creeping Rot. The second book extends the concept by having them seek out, despite the threat of much peril, a cure. Fear that the Rot has spread to more distant parts of their world arises when they hunt for a fugitive in the third book. The final book’s focus shifted from the Creeping Rot to politics.
Aside from the central focus of each book, each story also had a romance between a witch and one of the dragon shifters. In two of the books, the witches had come directly from Undercity, which is a place where the less fortunate live, one who was rescued from prison before her death sentence was to be carried out and one who was a lottery “winner” (allowing her to live in the Six Isles but requiring her to work for one of the dragons). The books with these two heroines, books 1 and 3, also looked at issues having to do with power and control. Book three especially was not afraid to look at abuse, including the history of abuse of the dragon shifter’s now dead sister as well as the contemporary storyline involving the new storm witch who was physically and mentally abused by her Six Isles’ master at her last job. In fact, for book three, that seems to be a more predominant theme than the one about the Creeping Rot. the author sensitively explores the root causes and repercussions of those kinds of abuse.
4 books about dragons finding their fated mate in a witch. Witches are honored above on the isles in the skye, but not on the main planet below.
But this is not only the story of the dragons and their fated mates the witches, it is about an enemy that destroys them from within – attacking their magic.
Can they maintain their lifestyle above the original planet or will they lose all magic and with it the six isles?
The story is a great fantasy, mixing elements of fantasy and romance in an enjoyable blend.
Having all 4 books together makes the story flow and gives it more of a touch of an epic story.

Six Isles Witches and Dragons Boxset by Lisa Daniels is a set of four different fantasy novellas that are set in a fantasy world where the rich and the poor are separated by ground and air. The rich upper classes live on sky islands that hover above the land below where the poor in this world work, live, hope, and strive to be allowed to more to one of the sky islands. Each of the four novellas: The Dragon’s Life Witch, The Dragon’s Air Witch, The Dragon’s Storm Witch, and The Dragon’s Ink Witch focus on the relationship of a different couple. Through each series of relationships the story grows and evolves. This boxset kept me enthralled and reading. It is most definitely a fantasy read where I was pulled into the world by the vivid descriptions and uniqueness of the setting and plot. This is not your average dragon versus witch series of stories but so much more. I recommend this boxset to anyone who enjoys a great fantasy such as Game of Thrones.
Four and a half stars. This collection of stories is really good. Four hunky dragon shifters and four talented witches makes a good recipe for romance and adventure. This is also my favorite so far from Lisa Daniels. The characters in these four stories are interesting and likeable and their adventures are very different from the others. Thumbs up on this collection. 🙂

The Dragon’s Life Witch
I enjoyed reading this quick read, and look forward to the next book in the series. We have Alex who has lived in the underworld as an orphan. One day she is put in prison. Meridas is looking for some one to heal his sister when he finds Alex. Can Meridas take her out of the slums and keep her out? Can Alex help save his sister? Will people still be after her in the sky cities? Who can they both trust? Can they even trust each other?
The Dragon’s Air Witch
This book was ok. I felt the main characters need more, they just didn’t jive. We have Evelyn one of the best air witches, then we had Janus one of the riches dragons from the sky Isle. Janus, Meridas and Alex are still trying to save the sky Islands from this disease. They hire Evelyn to fly them. Janus and Evelyn don’t start out will. What will happen, can they come to terms? Can they get to Zamorka and live? Can they find what they are looking for? Will they survive?
The Dragon’s Storm Witch
Heartache and danger. Perran Rus is a police officer for the king. He’s checking on a rumors about a abuser, comes across Kelsey. He wants to save her and everyone else that is servants in this household. He decides to take Kelsey as one of his servants and have teachers come in to help her adjust to being strong. He finds out that she is a storm witch. Can he save her? Can he teach her to be strong? Can he find someone to teach her how to use her magic? Kelsey wants to learn to be strong, but has been abused so long? Can she change? Can she learn?
The Dragon’s Ink Witch
Kerrick and Luan what a pair. Luan is a air witch who sucks the air out of the others she is interrogating. Kerrick is a prince that has been kidnaped. Can Perran and Luan find him and save him? What is really going on with the King? Can Luan and Perran find the people that are causing problems on the Islands? Who will win and who will lose? Can Luan ever come out of her shell? What an absolutely exciting, magically filled world Lisa Daniels has given us. Filled with soul crushing poverty, eye widening opulence, dragons and witches of all kinds. This is the kind of story that fills the imagination with wonder while keeping the mind racing trying to figure out the mystery within the plot.
This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW. Six Isles’ Witches and Dragons Shifter Romance by Lisa Daniels is the complete box set. While each of these stories can basically be read as stand alone, they are so much better when read in series order. I read the first book as a stand alone and jumped at the chance to read the series. This series gives off a GOT/Avatar type vibe and is so much more than your average take on witches, dragons and magic. I loved that the story line was consistent and the characters were so well developed. This box set of reads is best when enjoyed back to back. (They are quick reads and perfect for a leave me alone Weekend! LOL!) Another Lisa Daniels hit!
This honest and voluntary review was made possible by reading a copy through Booksprout.
I have each of these books and can honestly say they are all so worth reading the characters are well developed and engaging with each storyline having its own HEA and so full of twist and turns before they get there.

This is a well written collection that from the first page until the last is full of amazing characters. Each book takes the reader on a journey full of witches, healers, dragon shifters, magic and so much more.
The Dragon’s Life Witch:
Alex is a life witch who was captured and put in prison. Meridas is a dragon shifter who needs a life witch to heal his sister. Together they a strong team. I really enjoyed this magical story and the world this author has created.
The Dragon’s Air Witch:
This is book two in the Six Isles Witches and Dragons series and we go deeper into this intriguing series learning more about the Isles along the way. Evelyn is an air witch on a journey to find a cure for the Creeping Rot illness in the Isles. Janus, a dragon, is funding the journey determined to find a cure for the illness that killed his family. We also get Alex and Meridas from book one. Loved all the interesting characters and the amazing world this author has created.
This box set contains four Six Isles shifter romances, which include: The Dragon’s Life Witch, The Dragon’s Air Witch, The Dragon’s Storm Witch, and The Dragon’s Ink. Below are two reviews to give you an idea of what this set contains. Enjoy!
*** Reviewing THE DRAGON’S LIFE WITCH – BOOK 1 ***
Meridas watched his beautiful home die when he was nine years old. He and his little sister, Vash, saw the floating island topple out of the sky and fall. Their mother had stayed on the island, trying to find a cure for the Creeping Rot that attacked the core, trying to prevent this catastrophe. They thought they had more time, but they didn’t.
Below where the poor struggled to survive, Alex was abandoned and was taken in and cared for by Mistress Sue. They took in all the abandoned babies and sick people and did what they could to help the helpless. Above them, the floating cities held the wealthy dragons. In her 24 years, Alex had never met a dragon, though she had seen small flying specks cross the skies between the Six Isles as she looked up. Now from her jail cell, she asked a guard when she would be executed, and he told her tomorrow at sunrise.
Her first awareness of something within her came when she had found a dying kitten. She was able to see what was wrong with the kitten, and sort of pushed something of herself into it. The kitten regained strength and she took it to its mother. She did it again when a dying baby was brought to Mistress Sue. The baby survived, as well as others after that. But the last person she had healed did not like magic and ran to the police to turn her in for using magic on her. She told them Alex had cursed her. Alex’s only regret was that she didn’t get to say goodbye to the kindly Mistress Sue.
The cell door scraping open woke Alex, and she saw an immaculately dressed man with a glowing orb standing there. He called her a dirty little thing and looked disgusted at her horrible clothes and filthy skin. But he told her all crimes are forgiven if she is taken above, assuming that she really is a witch. He took a knife and cut his hand, then demanded she heal it. She wasn’t sure if she could; she was weak now and had been inactive for weeks. But she washed her dirty hands and touched him, rewarded when she felt his pain and pushed so his vessels and skin healed. He was shocked that it was really true and, without delay, told her they would leave now because he had need of her magic. She was indeed a healer, a rare Life Witch.
Meridas was eager to take the young witch to the hospital to see his sister. The Six Isles did not have a healer witch and he had been unable to find one until now. Alex felt the wrongness of the disease as soon as she approached. It would only attack magical beings, but it seemed to sense her presence and wanted to attack her. It was sucking the life out of the young woman. The disease went after as soon as she touched the woman, but Alex fought against it, pulled her hand away, and a green sticky mess came with it, left the woman, and withered to ashen black. Alex was exhausted and sweating and told them to never ask her to do that again – even though she realized that was exactly why she was here! Would this be her new future? Did Meridas have plans for her after this? Or would the Fates have something else in store for these two?
*** Reviewing THE DRAGON’S AIR WITCH – BOOK 2 ***
Twenty-five years previously, Janus Argent lost his parents to the horrible disease for which there seemed to be no cure. He wasn’t sure if the disease could ever be stopped, but he had to try. The pain of such loss was too much to bear. He didn’t want to be with the others who watched their home, Serpent Isle, fall from the sky.
Today was Evelyn’s last run on the Cloudstalker. She was a talented air witch and had been purchased by one of the six noble families who had a need for her special talents. Now she would be handed over to a new unfamiliar ship and a new master. She watched her captain sign the paperwork and take his money.
Her new masters were from noble families and could shift into dragons. Meridas Dasenson had been responsible for finding a way to halt the Creeping Rot, a disease that devastated magic users. Behind him was a hard-faced witch named Alex, a Life Witch and servant of Meridas. The third one Evelyn recognized as Janus Ruthe, a noble from Ruthen Isle. They told her they would all be heading to Zamorka, the place across the sea known for demons and curses. She hoped that was a joke, but Alex assured her it was not.
The crew was assembled and the journey to Zamorka began. If there was a permanent cure for the Creeping Rot, they hoped to find it in Zamorka… if they survived. As they flew through storms, both air witches would share the task of keeping them safe. But Janus hated the noise and the cold. He wanted to fly in his dragon form but it was not permitted. He went down to the galley to get something to eat and saw Evelyn. She had insulted him earlier but now apologized. He told her of Serpent Isle and asked if she ever spent much time on land. The question excited her and she eagerly told of all the places and things she had seen. When he expressed an interest in her, and found she was interested in him as well, they made a bet on who would end up kissing the other first. No matter who won, this trip just got more interesting! If they did survive, would they find the cure they sought? Or would they finding something else that was totally unexpected?
This is a very enjoyable series! From book to book, the story line continues to keep the reader interested as they search for a cure to the dreaded Rot which could be tied to Zamorka. Now with the box set, you can follow along on this adventure and see how their quest resolves!

The Dragon’s Life Witch Book 1: A different world. A Life Witch it sounds strange doesn’t it? I though so. They are very rare and can heal people. I like this story. It shows how less fortunate people can better themselves if they have the chance.
The Dragon’s Air Witch Book 2: Very good story. There is a fun element to it and it is exciting. Well written and a good plot.
The Dragon’s Storm Witch Book 3: Kelsey finely came out of her abuse. I am glad that Perran found her and helped her. Very good story.
The Dragon’s Ink Witch Book 4: (Luan and Kerrick) Luna is a strange one. We have snipers that have no remorse in disposing of a bad guy, well Luna is the same. She will protect Kerrick with her last breath if called for. Kerrick is next in line to be King, a job he does not want. Excellent story, I do hope that there will be more I would like to see how they deal with the Creeping Rot for good.
This is a series of four books about dragon shifters, who meet their mates (all are female witches). They are combating a deadly plague. Good book set, well written!

They will find true and lasting love through this journey as well. Each book builds on the story line with unforgettable characters that are likeable and interesting.
