Great summer read, especially if you love dogs, appreciate rescue dogs, appreciate how canines rescue their guardians and vice versa… looking forward to the next books in the series…
Great start to a new series. I am now on the fourth book and I have loved them all.
I loved this book and went on to buy the whole series which I read non stop.
An imaginative author. Thanks
Could not make it beyond the first few chapters. Vapid characters, boring.
nicely written
I have loved all of the dogfather books
I very thoroughly enjoyed this book! I loved the characters and the story line. Would strongly recommend and I look forward to reading additional stories in the series.
Loved it!!! Of course, anything by Roxanne St. Clair is expected to keep your interest but also making the dog a main character raises the bar. The rescue farm is a fantastic setting and the family connection is very valuable to the eventual romance.
great beginning of a new series by a consistently good author
Enjoyed it very much.
Loved reading Garrett’s story, looking forward to reading the rest of the series. Roxanne St Clair’s stories always capture the heart!
Good Start to a new series.
Enjoyable and easy to read when you don’t want to have to think too hard. The setting and characters are like able and it will be easy to get sucked into the whole series to aka sure all the brothers and sisters end up happy ever after.
Copied from Goodreads:
Rating is based on similar romance books. This book was well written and Ms St. Claire allowed the relationship of the main characters, Jessie Curtis and Garrett Kilcannon, to grow even though the chemistry had been there since they were teens. With Jessie’s history of not being valued and Garrett’s betrayal issues, you can see the climax coming from the start but the story evolves carefully and pulls on your heartstrings. Since I am a dog lover, I certainly appreciate the theme of the series about the Kilnaconnon’s establishing Waterford Farms dog training/rescue facility. This story sets up the forthcoming books with the father (dogfather) Daniel Kilcannon guiding his family to find true love and a home. Don’t want to give away plot points but my heart really hurt along with the characters, especially before Lola found her true forever home.
A fun, heartwarming read that left me wanting more stories about this family.
Great book!!
