As the summer ends, friendship begins… When single mom Joy Lee abandoned her old life to take a job at a lakeside resort, she found something that her family’s wealth and influence could never buy: peace of mind. Not easy to come by for the once-burned divorcée who keeps everyone at a distance. But when her new friend, Maris, dares her to take a chance with the drive-in’s charismatic new … charismatic new owner, everything changes for Joy and her young son.
A difficult childhood has left Maris Kennedy with definite priorities. Her job running Summer’s End, the camp store and café, comes first. Always. Nothing could ever make her risk that hard-won security–especially not her free-spirited colleague. But the more she encourages Joy to open herself up to new experiences, the more Maris begins to wonder what she, too, might be missing.
Learning how to trust will bring Joy and Maris together. And soon they form a friendship that leaves them as close as sisters–and open to love where they least expect it…in Summer’s End.

Lori Foster does it again! We get to see the beginnings of a relationship and fall in love with her real characters. Joy and Mavis get to develop an amazing friendship while being cheerleaders for each other’s foray back into the dating world. I could relate to both women and could see them being friends with anyone of us! A must read!
I really loved the first book that took place at Coopers Charm and when I heard there would be another I was so excited and this book did not fail me. I like how this book is more than just a guy and girl meeting and having their happily ever after. The relationship that women can create can last a lifetime and I think its great that this story captured that. Mix in a single mother and a guy that has a heart of gold and you have this book. I have read the book twice I loved it so much. I’m keeping my review some what minimal because when I start talking about the book I give too much away and I don’t want to ruin the story. It is worth every penny, especially if you like the first story.
~Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley ~
Sisters of Summer’s End was a feel good, light-hearted addition to the Summer Resort series. I’m still on a quest to find a real Cooper’s Charm so I can pack up and move, because how awesome would it be to live and work in a place like that?!? Granted, you’d probably get tired after a while of being in such close quarters with your coworkers, but the friendships you’d make would be worth it!
That’s one of my favorite things about this story- the friendship that developed between Joy and Maris. It was nice that it was just as much of a focus of the story as the romances between Joy & Royce and Maris & Daron. Neither Joy nor Maris were in any hurry to get involved romantically, but when they found themselves doing just that, they had each other there for support, guidance, and their own personal cheering section. I loved the persistance of Royce and Daron, and appreciated how they knew just when to push and when to pull back.
I really enjoyed how Ms. Foster integrated the two storylines together, everything flowed so well, without any awkwardness as the points of views changed. Joy and Maris’s stories mirrored each other, even with their differences. Joy, the single mom whose sole focus is making sure her son has the best upbringing possible, and Maris, whose past has colored everything about her present. These two were such strong ladies, and I just loved their friendship.
Once again Lori tells two wonderful stories in one book of love, family and friendship. Joy and Royce are two people who are not looking for a relationship but once they meet and spend time together they realize you can’t fight the attraction. Joy is a strong independent mom who always puts he son Jack’s need before her own. The relationship Royce develops with Jack is wonderful and he is so loving with him.
Maris and Daron have there own chemistry that Maris tries so hard to ignore. Daron chips away at her resolve until she finally sees him for who he is.
I adored visiting in Summer’s End. Makes you want to find your own little Coopers Charm to live in.
Sisters of Summers End is the second book in the Summer’s Resort series, written by the wonderful author, Lori Foster. I have really enjoyed Foster’s stories as she has an amazing way with words! She knows how to write a great multi-person POV story without making it confusing. The storyline flows so well and you get to meet more of the tenants (as well as newcomer, Royce) of the Cooper’s Charm Vacation Park!
This one mostly focuses mostly on single mom, Joy Lee, and her adorable little boy, Jack. It also begins the deeper friendship of Joy and Maris, the owner of the little store at the park. This is a wonderful love story as well as an understanding and healing of family. There is some drama, heat, romance, heartbreak, love and healing in this story…in other words…PERFECTION! I love the setting in the Sisters of Summers End… Lori Foster has developed this incredible little community so vividly that I want to move there now! I loved this book so much! It gives you all the feels and at the end, you just sigh and then wonder when the next book in the series will be in front of you. I give this 5 stars and totally recommend it!
I loved the book. Joy a single mother to her adorable son Jack, dealing with her parents manipulating her life. The hunky man who owns the local drive-in.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved this story. It was very entertaining, a super quick read! Love the wonderful, well rounded characters. You will fall in love with Joy, Royce, Jack, Maris, and Daron! Great summer read, perfect for beach! This book will make you smile!
Such a bonus in this book! We get to go back to Cooper’s Charm, catch up on old friends and get 2 romances in one! Joy is a single mom to Jack and Maris runs the camp store and restaurant. Neither has dated in years and stay too busy to live for themselves. But they become fast friends who help each other fill the void of friendship. When Royce buys the drive-in next door to the RV park the sparks between he and Joy are undeniable. Then they rescue a dog and she sees how incredibly wonderful he is with Jack and she starts to fall. When her past makes a visit it’s the strength she gets from Royce and Maris that help her work through it and get to her HEA. While Maris is encouraging Joy, she in return points out to Maris that Daron, the camp handyman, is a great match for her and helps her to work around the issues she has with relationships and priorities to find that she can have everything she’s wanted! I read an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my review.
This was great! This book is two stories set in the same small town. I loved both stories but I think the first was my favorite. I love how all the characters are interconnected but the stories are so different. I loved everything about them. This book is a great summer read! I highly recommend it!
Great trip back to Cooper’s Charm RV Resort, where we visit old friends and meet new.
In this book, Joyce is a single mother to a boy named Jack. She works at Cooper’s Charm, Royce bought a Drive In Theatre which is located next to resort. Both of them don’t want any relationship, but they can feel sexual attraction and they want to act on it.
Mix a dog and the kid into this and it’s more, they don’t even see it coming.
Loved all characters, we learn more about Maris and Daron too, which was great.
As always Lori Foster do not disappoint with her writing. Love this story..
A beautiful lake side resort with a small town feel, a single mom love story and friends that become more like sisters. Not to mention the new owner of the drive in is good looking and a great guy. You will get caught up in this small town, Coopers Charm, and find yourself thinking of your best friend as you read about Joy and Maris’s chats and how they form a bond more like sisters then friends. I received an ARC from NetGalley, and this is my honest review.”
I really loved this story because there are two HEAs. Two hunky and sweet heroes with two very lovable heroines and two sigh worthy love stories. Not only did I enjoy reading how the relationship between Joy and Royce, and Maris and Daron develop but I also loved how Joy and Maris became closer friends to the point that they became sisters of the heart. A very emotional and sweet story. I loved every moment of it. Such a feel good story. I couldn’t help but fall in love with all the characters in Sisters of Summer’s End.

Another winner by Lori! 5 stars!
Read along this great story, as woman find true friendship, love, and one sees that money doesn’t always make you happy.
Maris & Joy bond over one taking a leap of faith, and the other realizing, you can have love and a life.
Throw in Joy’s son, and the hot new drive in movie owner!
Lori keeps your attention going in the story, I don’t like to give to much away in my reviews, I feel it’s best to read along and experience it all! I just love Lori’s books, and this one will not disappoint you either! Grab this one today!
Another great book by this author that will leave you with all the good feelings. Joy has started working at the drive-in after her divorce and she and her young son are getting by and rebuilding their lives. Maris has ran the camp store at Summer’s End and she and Joy form a strong and binding relationship like sisters. Now they both have a chance at romance, even if it not what either is looking for. Royce is the owner of the drive-in and perfect for Joy and Jack and when you add in the puppy, who could resist that. Maris, oh, she tries to deny her feelings but Daron is something special. This was a slow starter but once it got going it was hard to put down! Definitely worth a recommendation from me.
“Family is what you make of it, and who you choose to make it with… ”
I immediately fell in love with Joy, Jack, Royce and the rest of the RV resort family. I loved how they each had different backgrouns, but at the end of the day they all had each others backs.
Sisters of Summer’s End is most certainly a book you wont want to put down and one you will want to last forever. I had a special sweet spot for sweet little Jack.
I was given an ARC of this book, these are my honest thoughts and opinions.
Sweetly satisfying read. Joy and Royce overcome their own personal struggles as they find love with each. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Lori Fosters books are always a pleasure to read because of the well written characters. Sisters of Summers End is another fabulous Loti Foster book.
It is the story of Joy Lee a single mother who is running a summer resort. She is encouraged by her new friend Maria to give romance a chance with Royce. Maria also takes a chance with her heart.
The love stories are well written but what I really loved in this book was the friendship between Joy Lee and Maris. They both helped each other to find inner strength and deal with their pasts. It was lovely to see such a fleshed out friendship.
It was a book with well written characters and a beautiful location.
Another great read in the Summer Resort Series. This time a round it’s Maris and Joy to find love and happiness. Both ladies are fighting the battle of I’m independent and don’t need any man’s help. They will learn it’s not that the man takes over, it’s that he is a partner. Jack is such a wonderful 5 year old little boy. Again Lori makes you fall in love with everyone at Cooper’s Charm. This book will make you laugh, shed some tears, steam of the pages and just give you the biggest feels.

Welcome to Summer’s End RV Park.
Meet Joy who has Jack and meet Royce while is the new drive in owner. Joy has an instant attraction and agrees to dinner. Royce has feels he hasn’t seen in years. Maris runs the camp store and has avoided Daron for years but finally agrees to one date. The years of avoidance proves that these two have hot chemistry. Maris and Joy share a friendship and are there to support each other. Summer’s End is more than RV Park and place of friendship and family!
Let me say first, that I read this book at the perfect time.
During a challenging time in my life, where it is hard to keep a smile on my face.
Reading any Lori Foster book can turn it all around for me. But reading about Joy and Royce getting over their ideas and embracing what I call fate, was a great way to brighten my day. Dont even get me started on the hard-headed Maris. In time, they all fall to fate. I love watching them squirm as they do. Reading about Cooper’s Charm and Summer’s End was a wonderful escape.
I would highly recommend this book.
I cant wait to see what Lori Foster will come out with next.
Happy reading!
