But things have taken a turn for the worse in the six months since she left home to join the Legion of Angels in New York City. Crime lords now rule over the town, and the beasts’ numbers are exploding just beyond the great magic wall that separates … are exploding just beyond the great magic wall that separates humanity from the plains of monsters.
Together with the fiercely seductive angel Nero, Leda guides a group of pilgrims across the monster-infested expanse to the ruins of the final battle between gods and demons. What begins as a pilgrimage, however, soon turns into a treasure hunt for an ancient weapon that could tip the balance of power between heaven and hell—and spirals into an intrigue that pits Leda and Nero against a rogue member of the Legion, a legendary angel as powerful as he is black-hearted.

I’m hooked on the Legion of Angels series. It’s been a while since I’ve found a series that has hooked me enough where I want to read one book after the other.
Siren’s Song starts not long after Witch’s Cauldron. Leda has been leveled up and now has the power of the Siren’s Song. What this power is, is the ability to compel others to do things.
The Legion has been powering up as many members as possible. Nix, the First Angel hasn’t said why, but we can only guess that something big is coming.
Leda is sent on another mission which takes her back to her hometown, Purgatory. She gets a taste of what being a Legion member really means. She learns that you can’t interfere in anything BUT Legion business, so when Leda sees a women being attacked, her instincts say help, but she can’t. This scene shows us and Leda that she cannot just be herself anymore.
We also see / learn that their are big changes happening in the New York office. Their where some big surprises in Siren’s Song and their are Guardians, not just gods and demons. Who are theses Guardians? Their is more happening then what we know.
I love the action and developments with the relationship; between Leda and Nero. In Siren’s Song, Leda and Nero are taking it slow in whatever their relationship is. We get to learn a little more about the angels and their personalities.
The only thing I didn’t care for is the use of the gods Nector as a recreational drug.
Siren’s Song kept me riveted and wondering what could possible happen next for these characters. I’m picking up the next book, Dragon’s Storm, now. Urban Fantasy fans will enjoy this series.
Rated: 4 Stars
Leda still has no filter. She and Nero are still…flirting with one another. A power hungry angel takes over the New York offices…I so hope it’s truly temporarily. Leda has to secretly uncover hidden relics before the bad guys do. Just another day for a Legion soldier in training!
The Legion series has really grown on me! I love the snark, the familial relationships, and the Legion politics are cut throat, yet interesting. Nero has shown the most character growth since the beginning, but Leda is slowly getting there. She actually bit her tongue a few times-improvement goals!
A stunning read!
“When gods and demons clash, mortals bleed.” I loved this line from the blurb! (Side note: Doesn’t this sing to your soul!?! It doesn’t…um… well, let’s move on!) Just reading this made me excited and a bit frightened to read but Siren’s Song was absolute perfection! Loved the humour, Nero, the heat between Nero and Leda, the fighting, the surprises… I think you can figure out that I loved every single thing about this novel!
Heaven. Hell. Humanity. An ancient weapon. A rogue angel. New leader. Chaos reigns. Trust me, this book was explosive! My favourite book in the Legion of Angels series. Holy hell!! I loved loved Siren’s Song! It sang to my soul! I cannot even remotely express how I’m in love with this book! I wish I had a signed copy!
This book made me laugh and smile like a crazy gal. I’m so in love with the book, the characters and the world. Ella Summers has done a brilliant job of writing this book! The angels are completely different – everything and everyone is a game to them, a means to an end.
Leda and Nero are the best work (and otherwise) partners ever – I loved how they work together, support each other and, of course, tease each other.
OMG! That ending! No cliffhanger but to leave me hanging like that!!! *faints*
I devoured this book in one sitting. Simply amazing!
Full of angels, smarta** and bad** heroines, memories, guardians, pilgrims and gods.
Perfect for readers of fantasy/paranormal romances.
