Family and friends gather in Bliss for the wedding of Leo, Shelley and Wolf. There is lots going on and you’re going to love this book. I always have to explain “it’s the book I’m reading” when family finds me laughing and snickering when I go to Bliss. Some book highlights some of the problems our couples are having showing the journey is just starting when people say “I do”. We have a billionaire scared for his pregnant wife, a romance writer with no time for her husbands, beets, a naked man party, a disgusting sperm donor tries blackmail, alien prevention, the doctor gets to tranq someone, lots of steamy hot scenes, a dead mayor, a plot to replace him, a birth, Doms galore and a wedding.
These characters make me laugh out loud and I always look forward to a little vacation in the land of Bliss with every new book in the series.
Sirens in Bliss is the series mashup/extended epilogue of my dreams! I LOVED seeing so many characters from the Bliss and Sirens series come together and interact, as well as catching up with them and their children – now I sincerely hope that we’re going to get books about the next generation and it can start with Olivia and the Farley twins! I’m well aware of Lexi Blake’s ability to have me in tears at some point during her books, but I was beyond moved by the underlying message of Sirens in Bliss and was full on sobbing by the time Lexi gave her wedding speech. The idea that family is a choice that goes far deeper than blood and the real meaning of love (and sanity) and how it can look different from the outside – it was just beautiful. It was also refreshing seeing these couples deal with internal issues as opposed to the more violent external ones that we’ve become accustomed to in these series. Now I need to know what’s going to happen with Nell and Henry ASAP and I’m hoping to see a Masters of Menage crossover real soon! 5 out of 5 wine glasses.
Love the wedding invite that we get right at the beginning of the book. I loved the snippets of images of things here and there as I read. The first chapter is a hoot to read. What mischief do we find Olivia getting herself into? Where is she? Love the housekeeper! What do we learn from the Doms as Jen is talking with them about herself? What note is left for Cam by Nate? I loved how this story bounced around between each of our lovely Bliss trios. It was a very interesting and informative read! I tried so hard not to cry for Jen and failed. You have to read and see why. The question with this book is… “Will everyone get their HEA in this story?” I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. Lexi Blake keeps astounding me with her series’ and how they intertwine with one another at times. It really keeps things interesting!
RECEIVED THIS BOOK AS A GIFT FOR A FAIR/HONEST REVIEW and REVIEWER FOR Bloggin’ With M. Brennan.
Wedding bells are ringing for Leo, Shelley and Wolf which brings everyone back home to Bliss for the celebration. This is not a standalone and gives readers an opportunity to see how the couples from the previous books are faring. The bottom line is that marriage takes work and communication. Each of the couples is struggling with some aspect of their relationship be it a needed new job, how to deal with the changes that children can bring to the family dynamic or how to feel important to your spouse after the years pass. Ms. Blake has done a deep dive into the complex feelings of her characters to portray one of the reasons to fall in love with her books. As readers have come to know this quirky little spot of heaven, it is filled with drama, the family that one decides to call his/her own and the obstacles that they face along with a whole lot of love. This is probably my favorite as it combines the best of everything into one storyline and I look forward to reading more about these couples and their children.
Sirens in Bliss is a great combination of these two series. I loved every minute of it, catching up with these characters is always great. I received this book in exchange for an honest review.
When the worlds of the Texas Sirens and Bliss, Colorado, come together and make a baby, what do you get? SIRENS IN BLISS, the re-released reunion story from author Lexi Blake, writing as Sophie Oak. And what a reunion it is. Characters that we’ve come to know and love are gathered to celebrate another happily ever after Bliss style, and it’s wonderful to see how everyone is doing.
I was a bit late to the game with some of the back stories, so am not familiar with everyone, but that doesn’t dull the sparkle of this book at all. There is plenty of passion, definite moments of angst (the best books always have them!), and all of the quirkiness that we’ve come to expect from these characters.
This book could only have come from the heart and soul of Lexi Blake, who has written about all of these folks with so much love over the course of the two series. I do suggest having a familiarity with both the Texas Sirens and the Nights In Bliss, CO, series, so that you’re not wondering where in the world you’ve landed while you’re reading. But, for fans of these worlds, this book is a great stop in the journey, and I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
Hail Hail the gangs all here! Come one Come all to the Feed Store Church for the Wedding of Wedding of Leo & Wolf Meyer to their Bride Shelley McNamara….but Aliens are NOT invited 😉
Wolf returns home to Bliss Colorado with his brother Leo for their wedding to Shelly and they bring their Texas friends along for the festivities. This was a great way to catch up on everyone in the town of Bliss as well as their friends from Texas. I will admit I haven’t been reading the Texas Sirens Series but I do plan on changing that very soon, especially with getting to know a little more about the couples in this book I really want to know how each of them got their HEA’s.
There is a LOT going on in Bliss, but isn’t there always! But here’s the thing, with the wedding, Stefan and Jen expecting their first child, an unexpected and unwanted wedding crasher, someone dying, a couple of couples (actually trios) questioning their relationships, there is to much to get into without spoiling the fun for other readers.
This book is NOT a standalone and The Nights in Bliss, Colorado Series is a must read before reading this book and if you have read the Texas Sirens Series as well you will really enjoy this book because it merges the two series together for the wedding. As I mentioned earlier I haven’t read the Texas Sirens Series but I have met or heard of some of the key players in that series so I knew about them before reading this book, and I do plan on going back and reading it from the beginning.
Happy Reading!!!
What a good read. All my favorite characters from both the Texas Sirens and Bliss Series. If you haven’t read both these Series you might not full follow who are all the character, best when you do so I suggest you don’t start with this book.
A very different take on a romance novel but it worked for me. Everyone is in Bliss for the wedding of Leo, Wolf and Shelly, but not everyone is living a blissful life. In relationship there is always a possibility something happening, not always being a world of joy and passion, most of our couples, partners, triads, are having some kind of trouble and it all seems to come to a head in Bliss.
And the best thing about drama is all the making up.
I have been following this series since the beginning and I loved seeing everyone from past stories come together to give us a peek at where they all are now. Be warned…this is not a standalone as it goes into previous characters lives now.
Sirens in Bliss is book 7.5 in the Texas Sirens series and it was a fantastic way to get caught up, I loved how we got glimpses of some of my favorite thruples and loved how the author brought them all together….not to mention this book is smokin hot!
I highly recommend this book but go back and enjoy them all from the beginning!!
5 It’s the Best of Both Worlds Stars!!
This book was such a great read. We’re in Bliss, CO for the marriage of Leo, Wolf and Shelley and from the minute the book starts I was in love!! We’re getting caught up on so many of my favorite couples while waiting for the nuptials to take place.
But don’t let the title fool you….there’s definitely moments that aren’t blissful. Each couple it seems is struggling in some way. Don’t get me wrong, there’s an abundance of love, but definitely a lack of communication. There were moments that frustrated me too, because these men needed to talk to their partners to clear up and/or fess up to their feelings and fears. Fears of losing someone, fears of becoming stale in a relationship, fears that work will divide them beyond anything that’s irreparable.
True to what these series center around, there is some light BDSM but what this book really brings to the reader is a story that lets us go back into the lives of these characters to see where they are now and what the future holds for many of them. There’s definitely some shifts in relationships that brought many smiles to my face.
If you haven’t read Nights in Bliss and Texas Sirens you may be lost not having the history of each couple and I would say to go back and start at the beginning of each series and get lost in the perfection of Ms. Blake’s writing!
Sirens in Bliss is such a fun read!
A wedding is on the agenda and it sets up a reunion and gives us a chance to revisit all of the interesting characters we all know and love from both the Nights in Bliss, Colorado and Texas Sirens series. So, if you haven’t already, you really need to check out the books in both of these series to appreciate and understand all the dynamics between the characters and their stories. If you are a fan of these series, you are definitely in for a treat!
The marriage of Shelly, Leo, and Wolf (from Siren in Bloom) lead their friends and family to Bliss, CO where we get to partake in updates of many of Lexi’s beloved characters from both the Texas Sirens and Nights in Bliss series.
While updated with some new content added in this 2019 version, I was overjoyed to revisit couples I haven’t read in almost a decade, but during this catch-up I felt like I’d just read their story from multiple books in either series just yesterday. Lexi has always captivated me with her writing, storytelling, and characters in a way that I’ve felt like I’m visiting old friends when I pick up one of her books.
Sirens in Bliss was absolutely perfect because I was able to visit with so many of my old friends while hearing about their married lives, which aren’t exactly perfect – because here’s an inside secret – marriage is work. Lexi wrote these perfectly imperfect couples/triads to validate all of us who should remember that and know that it’s okay to feel that way. When children arrive you are tired, feel unattractive, tired, working hard, tired, did I mention tired? You have to make time in your marriage for each other and I love that Lexi approaches this and doesn’t shy away from it. You are going to make mistakes, lots of mistakes, and still need to work through them. Marriage is a constant work in progress and each of the couples/triads she focuses on is in a different stage in their marriage. This was a great conglomeration of so many of her characters that this really was one of my favorite books, but in saying that, it couldn’t have become that status without the preceding stories.
I seriously could have kept reading this book forever! Although, I am excited for more – the children that will mature in the future – and of course the couples/triads that are brewing in the background. I love returning to Texas and Colorado where these worlds exist, so keep writing Lexi and I’ll keep reading!
Sirens in Bliss is a recap, and a regroup of Bliss. We get to see everyone again and find out how everyone is. The stage is Leo, Shelley, and Wolf’s wedding, which is such a great way to celebrate and see everyone. There are good times, sad times, and teary moments. Everything you want in a gatheri
Loved EVERYTHING about this book. I wish more authors who write multiple series would write novels like this and bring all the characters together again. For the readers to get glimpses of their favorite couples and to see how their fairing years down the road. It’s exactly how Lexi Blake wrote Sirens in Bliss.
She combines the Texas Sirens and Nights in Bliss characters together for one epic wedding. Together, couples learn how to cope with life after being wedded for years, they learn how to put forth family first over business and learn what life will look like with added little ones.
I am beyond happily-blissed with how Lexi ended this book. The original ménage couple who began the series, ends it. By god woman… please keep these characters going and making a ruckus! I will never get tired of them.
Everyone’s in town for the wedding of the year, but it’s not all happy celebrations, as the couples are all suffering emotionally in one way or another.
Stef is afraid he’s going to lose his wife during childbirth, and he’s been seriously lacking in his Dom skills. Will Jennifer get him to come around or is she going to lose him before she even gives birth?
I really felt for Stef, but I felt for Jennifer, too, as she didn’t know if he was still attracted to her or if he even wanted their baby. A little heartbreaking this one was.
Lexi is distant and neither Aidan or Lucas knows what to do about it. Lucas is feeling ignored by both his loves and none of the three are on the same page – physically or emotionally. Will they ever sit down and just communicate?
Of all the troubled relationships, Lexi, Lucas and Aidan frustrated me the most. These three needed to just talk to each other!! If any of them had done that earlier, all the angst and hurt feelings never would have happened. Sheesh…
Leo and Wolf are having to deal with their bio father being in the picture and what his reappearance means to their lives. And there’s the little fact that their mom is driving their soon to be bride nuts with the beets!
Probably my favorite of all the relationships here. Funny and sweet with an underlying note of the blues.
Rafe isn’t that happy in Bliss. A new job offer just may help with that, but it would mean taking them all away. If only he’d talk to them!!
I wasn’t that fond of this partnership but it felt authentic like all the others did.
All in all, this reunion story is one of the best light BDSM romances I’ve read in a long time. I love the Bliss series and have enjoyed reading the revised versions of all the stories.
Well now what a story Sirens in Bliss was a whirl wind catch up with everyone involved and talk about drama, omg these guys and gals could give days of our lives stars a run for their money…lol
I just loved it, all of my favorite sexy crazy people in my favorite town and everyone has something going on this story was fun from beginning to end.
What a combo! Two great series in one wonderful book! Welcome back to Bliss as we get ready for brothers, Leo and Wolf, to Shelley the lucky lady to complete their menage. They brought all their friends to Bliss for their wedding, so we get to catch up on both series couples/menages and whats going on in their relationships. Their kids are running amok, there is a naked bachelor party, an almost shooting, possible aliens, beets, blackmail, lots of really hot steamy sex, and more beets. Interested in a really funny, entertaining and hot read? Welcome back to Bliss! Loved it Lexi!
Sirens in Bliss by Lexi Blake is book 10 in the Nights in Bliss, Colorado Series. This is a reunion of past characters from this series and Texas Sirens. I do feel that if you read the previous books it does add to your enjoyment of this one. It is so wonderful to catch up with past characters and have some additional story lines with them. If you do take this book on as a standalone you will be okay but I do think enjoyment is having past story lines.
I am a fan of Lexi Blake/Sophie Oak writing, so this was a must read for me.
I liked going back to Bliss! I liked how this book was a little different from others in the series and each chapter was about a different family. It read like a soap opera. There were 4 sets of stories happening and I really enjoyed how this story was told. It was interesting to see what their lives were like after the weddings and with real things happening to them. I enjoyed getting to glimpse into their lives now. It was a fun catch-up and diving back into these characters’ lives. If you’ve enjoyed previous books in this series, I recommend this read!
